I've just fallen in love with the shorts look
I've been meaning to try out the shorts look for a while now and finally did tonight - I'm in love :o :D
It was just an old pair of (short, not knee-length) navy tailored shorts which I teamed with bright blue tights, silver ballet pumps and a navy double-breasted short coat but it looks SO cute and funky (even if I do say so myself :D)
Of course, I had to pick the coldest week in a long while to do this, so now I'll have to wait till it gets a little warmer to try this look outside...
In the meantime, I would love to get one or two new pairs of shorts in a colour which would go with navy and blue - am thinking gray or charcoal, not black - and have just seen some on the Topshop and Miss Selfridge websites so may pay a visit tomorrow :)
AHHHH I'm happy :p

I've been prancing about in my shorts and ballet pumps and I think OH thinks I've seriously lost it now

Speaking of which, smallgirl and CiC, will you EVER get your style diaries updated?
Me again....top to go with short shorts?

Me again....top to go with short shorts?
I was going to add to my previous thread but thought i'd start afresh as it was getting so long:o
Unfortunately the top i had planned to go with my short shorts for my birthday didn't quite fit right (Thanks for sending it me katoid and all the trouble you went to!). So now i'm completely stuck on what to wear, although i'm in now rush as i don't need it til March.
The lowdown is.....
*It's for my friend and my 21st night out
*We're going to a bar and then a club probably
*I'm wearing grey short shorts, opaque tights and probably my red platforms.
*I'm quite hippy so it needs to help balance that out and disguise it if poss
(Don't ask for much do i? :D)
Any suggestions would be most appreciated, cheers!
Answer:
Sorry Cat, I dunno the answer but I am going to lurk on your thread so I can get some ideas for warmer-weather combis too :p :D
Answer:
I'm going to be lurking too for some ideas!
Not that your hips need balancing out, but how about an off the shoulder top, which should give the effect of broadening the shoulders?
Answer:
Right, I have no idea if this would even remotley work, but my brain is slightly addled, and all I can remember is that I've had trouble 'balancing' out my top hlaf when wearing shorts and opaques.
Could
this top work with the buttons all undone, with either just a sexy bra, or a sheer camisole vest underneath, just peaking through?
Answer:
In the nicest possible way i never thought of wearing something as simple as that, it could really work!
I couldn't wear it on it's own if it's sheer due to my huge scar on my chest but i could get some kindof lurexy slightly glitter type vest i guess.
Do you think it may be too casual or could i make the hair, make up and accessories the feature to vamp it up?
Do Tabitha/Orca still make the Go Lightly?

Do Tabitha/Orca still make the Go Lightly?
All I can find these days are Go Less Lightlys. I do so want a Go Lightly in Tan. I have mailed them but no response as yet
Answer:
I've been looking for one too - can't find one anywhere. Looks like they have discontinued. Would be interested to hear what they say puddy.
Answer:
Ha ha you are like me Curls - the Go Less Lightly is deffo not big enough for me!
Answer:
Nope, far too small - I wanted one as an every day work bag - I have a HUUUUUUGGGGGGEEEE black Mulberry one but it's too heavy for everyday - usually use that one when I need to lug a lot of stuff around at conferences etc.
I need my work bags to be like a tardis
Answer:
I often want to contact ebay payers selling bags as HUGE when they don't even fit A4 to tell them that when I say huge I mean HUGE!
what do you think...

1 Attachment(s) i need to find some shoes/accessories that would compliment this dress.
what do you think would look good? i seem to have run out of inspiration :(
its a good quality silk btw if that influences you decision at all ;)
Answer:
how about
these from faith?
Answer:
Ahh yer i love those shoes..reckon they wud go with cream jewellary.
Answer:
Great colour match there, Juggler!
I think cream t-bar shoes would look gorgeous with the dress. It might look nice with either a black or cream skinny scarf draped about your neck elegantly.
For a more casual daytime look, I'd team it with my black flat vintage boots (or possibly my tan ones), and to stay with the boho vibe I'd wear a black bangle pushed up to my elbow.
For a funkier evening look I'd pair it with my black vintage ankle boots.
A contrasting cinch belt (say tan?) could also look funky.
Answer:
thanks guys. i love those shoes!!!
