can anyone do me a magazine favour?

NO.1. Ask :
can anyone do me a magazine favour?
i've been looking everywhere for a copy of February's American edition of Elle magazine (Madonna's on the cover) - my local Borders WH Smiths' staff think i am MENTAL...
if anyone has somewhere that they have it in stock, I'd be really grateful if they could pick it up for me and i'll pay the cost of it plus postage? I need it for an article thats in it, and i can't find it ANYWHERE!!!
Answer:
Well I'd imagine I could probably find one here in the States, but I don't know if you'd want to pay the cost of postage.
Answer:
WHSmiths is always the place I go to for US Elle - have you tried a larger store? City centre ones are your best bet, look out for the ones that have international newspapers too, they get them all in bundles with the magazines.
Answer:
lol, thanks dolphins - i'm going to try and get it in the uk first.
hack - i've tried everywhere, i have 2 large WH Smiths in town that usually stock it, as well as a Borders that has everything, but can't find it anywhere. I think theres been a problem with the delivery or something, so thats why i thought i would ask baggers in other cities x
Answer:
I'm sure my local WH Smith had some in stock earlier this week. I can look at lunch time if you want to see if it's still there. How long has that issue been out?

    Hair Corsage
    Hi,
Does anyone know where or who does classy, expensive, gorgeous hair corsages? It is for my wedding day and all the ones I have seen are really naff and cheap looking?
    Help!
    :)
    Answer:
i dunno but if you dont want it to look cheap ot naff, why dont you wear fresh flowers..much much nicer IMO:)
    Answer:
If its any help, I made the corsages for my bridesmaids myself. Just get some really nice fake flowers in the florists (or even places like habitat) and detach the heads and use them to make your own arrangement. I used glue, ribbon etc to put them together.

Can anyone give me any hints so they don't look rubbish?
I am "customising" some 3/4 jeans I have.
    Thanks
    Answer:
Use sandpaper :D Works really well to fray and rub 'worn-in' look holes.
    Answer:
    Use sandpaper :D
What a fab idea, I'd never have thought of using that!
Those stitch unpicker things are good for fraying hems too.
    Answer:
Cheese grater is usually good too! :)
    Answer:
What about where to do it? I was guessing at the knees mainly, and maybe a bit on the back.
    Thanks for the suggestions! ;)

    Dressy tops with longer sleeves
    Hi Girls,
I used to be a real clubber, i.e. wearing strappy going out tops and sweating my ass off dancing! Since i've moved to a small town it's been more of a night down the local pub with the bf, and i'm finding that my strappy tops are too cold and a little inappropriote.
Do you guys have any suggestions of going out tops that have longer sleeves? Maybe 3/4 length? I'm getting fed up of wearing the jumpers I wear to work!
I'm quite short, size 10 with a tiny back but big boobs. I need to cover up my flabby belly too!
I've got very dark hair and pale-ish skin.
I'm going down Bournemouth high street this lunch hour so I need suggestions for the main high street shops!
    Thanks so much ladies!
    Cesca
    xx
    Answer:
I've seen some nice wrap tops in the shops with longer sleeves, something like that could work with jeans? I saw a nice blue and grey one in Top Shop the other day. Also, how about a little cropped jacket like this:
You could wear your existing going out tops and keep your modesty with a lightweight jacket or a shrug perhaps?
Also fitted blouses and shirts look smart when dressed up with accessories but not as revealing as strappy tops.

    MS Butterfly Pumps
What do you think of these? Tempted but thought they were a little on the pricey side (£29.50) but very pretty (I love butterflies though!).
    Answer:
They're gorgeous! I like the colour too, understated.
    Answer:
They do them in pewter and mocha (the picture is pewter). They're in my basket at the moment but keep doing the "shopping basket dance" with them.
    Answer:
I dont know-the shape looks a bit odd to me,but then they could be the sort of shoes that look much better on-I like them in theory!!
    Answer:
I think they're gorgeous - I love the butterfly detail and the colour - but I agree that they seem a bit pricey for pumps!
