Was it a happy household Shiny??

NO.1. Ask :
Was it a happy household Shiny??
Did you have a misreble or happy Mr Shiny, I watched a bit last night but didn't see the final score. Hope it was a good result for you :D
Answer:
He turned it off half an hour before the end in a strop, apparently Wolves played really badly and he couldn't bear to watch :( (I couldn't bear to watch either the match or him watching the match so had left him to it  )
I'm hoping by the time he gets home tonight the Great Sulk will be over :head:
Answer:
I really know that sulk, you have my sympathies. I was explaining to Mr MissB i wanted wolves to do well, and sid he did to as he has always had a soft spot for them :D  blokes, honestly.
Get over it Mr Shiny, there is always next season. :p
Answer:
Mr Shiny is the same with West Ham, he calls them his 'second team'.
Honestly... I just don't get it :head:
Answer:

I'll tell Mr MissB, they'll bond virtually by proxy  :D

    My Star Boot's came today!
I was undecisive at first RE size, they where slipping off my feet, and I couldnt get what Cat said to me the other day about leather stretching out of my head so was convinced I needed to down size!

Then I put them on to show Mother and they seemed OK? Have insoles for them anyway so hopefully the shape wont change too much!

    They're lovely.

I need some dresses now to go with them for winter  (I'm stocking up for when I go back to Uni! ;) )
    Answer:
Oh glad you got them piglet :yay:
Generally leather stretches, and as I'm in between a size 4 and 5, I brought a size 4, and wore thick socks to stretch the boots out a bit. They fit perfectly now.
Glad you like them, they go with almost everything! I can't wait for Autumn either! (my favourtie season)

Now you've got me thinking I need a 6 again   :cmdunno: I should of ordered both sizes, Im so daft sometimes, I just thought no-no there's no need for that much money to go out of my account when I will end up just having the 7's anyway. :faint:
    Answer:
I love the tan star boots, but I couldnt fit my fat legs into them  :o :boohoo:

    Wallis fit guide?
    I ordered this top;

as I love the colour, but in a size Small. Now I'm worried it will be too small!! I'm a size 12, but Wallis come up big normally, so thought sizing down would be better.

Has anyone seen this IRL, or knows how big their sizing is for small/medium/large labelled items?

If anyone can help, I will be v grateful, thanks!
    Answer:
    anyone?
    Answer:
Hi, i can't really help, but thaty top is lovely
    Answer:
Wallis sizes are big - you made the right choice definately. I live in Wallis lately!
    Answer:
Thanks! Glad that I made the right choice, I'm getting really confused by sizing at the moment, but I have another tunic in a 12 from their which is huge!

Sorry for the confusion but when I asked about the bandeau tops I meant the Dorothy Perkin's ones,I think you can get 3 for 12 pounds,I'm wondering if they are very see through and flimsy for that price.
If any bodies seen those ones, please let me know.
    Thank you

Oooh, the white ones see-throughish, dont know about the rest but they look OK. They're quite true to size, although I did try on a size 14 after a 12 as felt a bit 'tight' in it... but then went back a week later and the 12 was fine so dont know if they're all made differently  that was my conclusion anyhow
    Answer:
My red one arrived yesterday and it isn't see through at all, quite a nice top for the price.
    Answer:
Not see thru at all - white one might be a bit! I love my purple one - got black and white aswell. Going into town tomorrow to probably buy every colour :D
    Answer:
I've got a couple of those tops and the sizing seems normal I bought an eight like I usually would from there. Not see through either..

  • UO "gold" chains - anyone else get a green neck?!

    NO.5. ask :
UO "gold" chains - anyone else get a green neck?!
Title says it all. Wore my mirror pendant to work today
and noticed that the "gold" has come off at the back and I've got a lovely green mark underneath - how mortifying  .
I must admit, when I brought home all this "gold" jewellery, hubbie was a bit "won't it turn your neck green?" and I, rather snootily, replied that I was sure costume jewellery has improved since he used to sell it at Wembley market 20 years ago.... turns out, it hasn't!
Has this happened to anyone else? Now that I think about it, when I've worn "gold" pendants before, it's always been over fabric and not really touching the skin. Today I was wearing it with a wide necked smock so it was resting against the back of my neck all day :cmdunno:
    Answer:
It happened once last summer when it was reallllllly hot and i got a very sweaty neck :o
    Answer:
Yeah, I didn't want to have to go there but I think that's what the problem was today :o Oh well, at least I'm not alone
    Answer:
My black UO free people smock top had this weird purple staining around the neck when I took it out of teh wahsing machine and I took it back and the mgr was arguing with me that it must have been jewellery that had caused the stain and therefore it wasn't a fault of theirs.
Oh I took so much pleasure informing her that it was their bloody heart chain that I'd been wearing with the top so YES, it was still their fault!! I went a bit schitzo in UO High St Ken that day actually cos of that ****ing manageress!!!!:mad::mad:. I didn't even get hot in the bloody thing so I dunno what kind of chemical reaction that chain was havng with the top but the staining was ridiculous!
I think all non gold jewellery will still eventually go weird on you! MS necklaces last a good while though.
HM's as we all know last 2 wears if you're lucky!
Coating them with clear polish doesn't work much either.
    Answer:
I've had it happen to me before with costume rings. You can buy that clear liquid you paint on jewellery to stop it happening but i suppose its a bit of a faff.
