Answer:
Very pretty dress, have you tried monsoon as they often have very similar style dress. Matthew Williamson used to design for them once upon a time!

Does a decentdigital SLR count?
So far I'm saving up the £30 of Jessops vouchers I got for Christmas. Only £560 to go then....
On the fashion front, a killer Vivienne Westwood suit featuring emerald green (such a thing may or may not exist) would be nice.
Also some of the flat (Ralph Lauren maybe??) riding style knee length boots that just aren't about any more and perhaps a Novak here. Green of course.

    NO.2. ask :
    Ebay listing price question
    Hello
After some advice from any ebay seller veterans out there- would be very grateful if you could help me. :flower:
I bought something off an ebay seller which is not the right size (due in part to the way the item was described-but thats another story). I emailed the seller to see if i could exchange it and was told he didn't have the size i was after, but i could have a refund if i sent the item back- but in order to take account of the costs he had incurred (listing the item, then relisting the item- i imagine) he would need to deduct £6 from the amount i would be refunded.
The item cost £21 plus £3.50 postage- i can't work out if £6 is a reasonable deduction or whether I'd be better off re-selling the item myself. I don't really want to do this as am short of time at the moment, may still lose money (or not manage to sell it at all) plus have never done it before.
So i was really after the opinions of some people who are more informed of this lark than me- what would be the most cost effective thing to do? If there's not much in it then i'll go for the refund as it will be dealt with quicker, but am studying at the moment and an extra £6 could go a long way! :newspape:
    Any advice much appreciated.
    Answer:
Your seller (especially if the are a business seller) can refund you your money, and claim back the item as returned through ebay.
Then they don`t pay any costs (except their listing feed should they choose not to relist it).
When my buyers ask for a refund they get it, not with £6 off !
    Answer:
If you paid through Paypal, then costs can mount up a bit (Paypal took nearly £2 off me for a £40 transfer the other day  )
It depends on what you bought, how many pictures were on the listing, how much money it went for, how much postage actually cost. As a rough guide, most clothes I've sold on Ebay cost me - 30-50p listing fee, around 30p for Ebay's final value fee, 40p for the postage bag, around 50p to £2 for postage, and about £1 for Paypal fees...so thats nowhere near £6!
Why not email him asking him to provide a breakdown of exactly where the £6 is going...that might shame him into admitting that £6 is unreasonable!
    Answer:
I agree with GJ - e-mail him and ask where he gets £6 from! If I need to refund, I do so without postage fees. And if what parfair amour says is right (I've never refunded so not sure!) then he shouldn't be charging for fees.
A bit O/T but Glitter - I try and wait until after I've reached £50 or more...fee transfer is free then :)
    Answer:
    Thanks girls
You have all been most helpful- as i knew you would be!
I have heard back from the seller regarding a breakdown of the 6 pound deduction. They said-
"This amount includes insertion fee of ebay, paypal commission, pp and final value charged after successful auction by ebay."
I am yet to try the claiming costs back through ebay tack (fingers crossed!) but if that fails, does this explanation cut the mustard do you think? Still seems an awful lot to me...

    what shops do you hate?
I just wondered what shops other people don't like?
I can't stand topshop (not for what they sell but the attitudes of people in there when I do venture in, mainly the SAs  ), I also cannot stand select mainly because they sell utter crap, likewise with pilot.
    How about you?
    Answer:
    I HATE BHS:mad:
    Everything about it !!!
    Answer:
I'm not a huge fan of warehouse, never find anything in there I like and all the cami tops are about £50!

I don't like River Island much. Everything seems to be gaudy, or have big studs on, or be manky colours

    problem with clothes fitting?
Now, I realise that the only way to get 100% perfectly fitting clothes would be to get them tailored, but I always find I have to try on sooo many clothes just to find an item which fits 'ok'.
Does anybody else find this? I'm always put off from ordering clothes online, just because I know that I'd have to order loads of different sizes, only to find that the shape doesn't even fit me!!
    Answer:
    Hi! :)
I actually have the opposite problem of trying not to go near my fave shops as I know there will always be something I want to get...
I think the trick is knowing your measures and your shops properly. For instance, and talking in high street terms, I avoid shops like MS, Laura Ashley or Monsoon (apart from the odd bit) as I know their sizing is a bit ´not me´....
In contrast, I know what my sizing will be in Mango, Zara, HM, Benetton. FC and similar high street stores...so, often buy tops/skirts without trying on as long as they are my size...(for trousers or shorts, will always try)...
So, if you know your sizing in your fave shops, you are bound to find something that always fits ;) :)

Yeah, same here! I'm always thinking it's a bit odd that people here find it difficult to find clothes that fit well, when everything I try seems to fit so it's just a question of picking the ones I like best... but then I realised I actually tend to try things that are very likely to fit, in shops where the sizing/cut/styles suit me, so I guess it's more that? :) Years of shopping experience, hun... When you reach MY great age, dear, you'll find this too!:wasfield:
ETA. Oh, sorry, maybe you only meant when ordering stuff by mail order - I never do! I want to see the quality/cut for myself.
    Answer:
I have major problems with getting skirts and jeans. Nobody seems to make clothes for people with curvy bottoms and little waists. I tried some jeans on yesterday and they were too big round the waist but the bum area didn't even accomodate my curvy derriere
My waist is very nipped in, which works well for dresses etc, but if I buy skirts they often ride up, so I can't wear anything like pencil skirts :(

nope, I mean generally in shops too!! Think I must just have to learn what will fit etc - I don't think I'm exactly an unusual size!!

Weird dream last night about baggers and bags!!
OK, this may be the sign that I need to stop reading Fashion so much! I had a very vivid dream last night that I was about 18 and still living at my parents' place (am now 36) and I had invited loads of Fash Baggers round for a girlie sleepover!!  (I have never met a Bagger IRL)
We had each brought designer items and were doing a sort of show and tell, describing the details and suchlike. There was one posh bagger there with a Mulberry bag that everyone was stroking and oohing and aaahing over. It was gorgeous! But sadly, it doesn't exist in reality.
I need to get a life!!
    :o :p
    Answer:
    I hope I was invited!!!!
    Answer:
ahhhh, Show and Tell. Actually, if you come along to a real-life Meet it is a little bit like that as we all bring along thigns we've bought and posted about and ooh and aaah over them. I remember a particular Meet when pansymouse had bought some gorgeous creamy boots and we were all oohing and patting htem - the bar staff must have thought we were fetishists !:o
    Answer:
I've dreamt about other baggers too :o
For the past two nights, I've had erotic dreams about a colleagues:eek: He is very beau, but I don't fancy him IRL. Hope I don't have another one, am finding to hard to look him in the eye this morning!
ETA: just to clarify, they weren't sexy dreams about other baggers, just random events!
    Answer:
    I hope I was invited!!!!
You were probably the bagger with the Mulberry!
