I was in Florida at xmas (not miami which, like NY, is like a different country to the rest of the US) and the main fashion items seemed to be - jeans / tracksuit bottoms, sneakers (and yes, I mean sneakers, not trainers), with sweatshirts.
I went to a couple of malls for shopping and was severely disappointed - the only things i bought was a wig (strangely, there were a lot of wig shops:confused: - must be the OAP's), a jewellery box and lots and lots of cosmetic products. I stocked up on stuff you can't get here like Cetaphil cleanser, Crest white strips, optrex eye drops and cinnamon-flavoured everything. Burts Bees stuff was also very cheap there so stocked up on that.
My suitcase was quite depressing when I got home - lots of oral hygiene products:rolleyes: . But, hey they have nice teeth for a reason !

When I went to America last year, I really wasn't impressed with the shopping and that was in NY - so I sympathise with you hun!! I just didn't get the whole shopping in NY thing :confused:

Ok, haven't got a pic but just bought a white belt from New Look - just plain soft leather, kinda wide. Anyway, planning on wearing it clinched at the waist with long length black drapey vest, skinny jeans and bright red heels (will probably layer the vest with another one too). Does this sound nice or tacky? I know white belts can be a bit naff but am thinking this might look quite good. Opinions greatly received!
Also, whilst I'm at it!! I have a white and purple print vest (swirly patterns) - very 60's style and am thinking of wearing this top with black drainpipes and the white belt clinched in at the waist.
Need to know I won't look like a fool in the white belt :p

i think a white belt depends on the belt, if its as u describe it sounds nice, its the horrid plasticy ones which look manky! i have a cream suede one which looks nice (at least IMO) altho it is a little dirty now, anyone know how i can clean it?

... opinions please, although the piccy doesn't do it much justice to be fair. It's silk, a very pale pink/oyster I suppose, with a brown tie round the waist. It is quite expensive though at nearly £50, but it is silk and just caught my eye!

I think its pretty but £ 50 seems quite a lot of money. You will prob get tons of wear from it as I think nudes are going to be in esp in the summer.

The detailing is nice but I'm not sure it comes together very well, IYSWIM? But I haven't seen it in real life. If you say it looks fab with your jeans and you like it, then keep it.
I got myself a silk camisole before Christmas and that was 50 quid too. I felt bad about it for ages and left the tags on in case, but I eventually wore it. Quality silk things are expensive anyway and they drape so nicely, I think they're worth it.
I'd keep it as a luxurious and deserved purchase! Lovely colours by the way!
