Did anyone else get these ballet flats from MS...?
I got these yesterday and I'm not sure whether to keep them or not.

I love them, they are really pretty, but trying them on at home, they already cut into my heel. I got a size 5, and 5 1/2 was definitely too big. I know that I will never wear them if they cut my heels when I have to walk anywhere in them - do you think they're likely to get any better or should they go back?
    Answer:
I had the same problem when I bought my ballet flats from NL, the 4 felt small, but the 5 was quite big in the shop, so big I pretty much walked out of them, so bought the 4. Got home wore them round the house a bit to see if they would streatch, and they cut into my heal, decided to change them for the 5. I bought some of the scholl heal shields and put them in and now they seem to be fine :P
maybe you could try heal grips of some sort in the 5 1/2's?

    Answer:
I have a pair and like you, I thought my normal size (6) was a bit big but the 5.5 was a bit snug. I bought the 6 and they have been lovely - I can wear them all day, including a pretty long walk to and from the tube - and they are still comfy. If they do stretch I will put an insole in them, but so far so good.
    Answer:
I'd get the next size up and just chuck in some insteps :) its what I've done with my pumps and seems to have done the trick
    Answer:
OK, I'll go back and try on the 5.5 and see what they're like. Thanks!

    NO.4. ask :
    Help me find something suitable?
Hi there, I haven't posted in fashion before so hello to everyone.
I have some job interviews coming up and am in need of a couple of outfits. I have bought a gorgeous chocolate brown trouser suit but can't find a top to wear with it. Any ideas? I don't want to wear a shirt/blouse underneath it. I had been thinking of a pinkish silky top but can't find anything. Any suggestions would be gratefully recieved.
I also have to find a slightly less formal outfit for a conference where a lot of potential employers will be. Not a suit but still smart. My budget for both is about £125 pounds.
I am only 21 years old so want something which looks professional but still dress like a young woman. I have shoulder length red hair, fair skin and am a curvy size 12. Any ideas?
    Answer:
Gap have some gorgeous silk camisoles at the mo - can't remember if there was a pink one though.
M S have this little beauty but I don't know if the colour would be any good or if you'd think it was too "old"???

Sorry if these are way off the mark!
ETA - for the conference - how about some wide legged trousers, with a fitted shirt and tank top or something???? Smart but more comfortable than a suit.
    Answer:
Thanks for the suggestions. I'd really prefer something with sleeves in case i take the jacket off while looking round. So a camisole is out i think. The blouse is actually nice ( this coming from someone who hates wearing shirts or blouses). The only problem is the colour - beige. That kind of colour tends to drain my already pale skin. Also I have quite a large chest and the buttons then to look stretched and gaping on blouses so i'd prefer to avoid them. Any more suggestions are more than welcome though. I'm beginning to worry i'll never find anything suitable.
    Answer:
How about a smart lightweight v-necked jumper? I wear these to work under suits all the time.
I like the wide-legged trousers idea for the conference - if you don't want to go with a shirt, a smart jumper would also work, maybe with a skinny belt over the top if you feel it needs a bit more shape (another staple work outfit for me!).
    g_k
    Answer:
Warehouse have this blouse, quite girly but the colour would look nice with dark brown.

  • Where do I get this bag?!

    NO.5. ask :
Where do I get this bag?!
Ok, seen a few girls with this bag, here's my description:
Goes across the body on a very thin strap. The bag itself is oval and the material is gathered. It's has a clutch shut top if you know what I mean (magnet type thing probably). It reminds me of a bag I used to take to ballet class when I was little:p . I've seen it in gold and teal. It's not small but not big, you could probably get purse, lippie, phone and diary in it.
Haven't been to the shops in a while and wondered where it was from? I think it's kinda cute!
    Answer:
Oh:( no one has seen it or knows what I mean coz I'm not describing it too well!
It's 80's looking I reckon, very thin strap then the bag itself is roundish/oval and looks like it's stuffed with newspaper so it's all full. Then the leather all gathers up to the top where it snaps shut.
    Anyone know what I mean?
    Answer:
no, afraid not GitC sorry. you might want to bump this on monday, when there's a bit more traffic on here xxx
    Answer:
true, might even see it tomorrow on my TS mission;)
    Answer:
    ah, yes ;)
