Petite shops

Petite shops
I'm trying to find a casual blazer jacket for Spring but I want a petite size as I'm only 5'0". I've looked on Topshop, Miss Selfridge and Dorothy Perkins websites but with no luck and there wasn't anything in store when I went in yesterday. Anyone got any other places I could try? I want a young, fashionable jacket but I can't think of any other places that have a petite range.
Answer:
I am a wee thing too and I always struggle. Next always have petites, however I don't know if they have blazers...check out...

I got a really nice one from H M recently and another from New Look. Not petite but fit really well and not too long.

Answer:
not always highly fashionable, but if its a standard blazer/jacket you are after marks and spencers and wallis have petite sections x
Answer:
Thanks for the suggestions. I had a look in HM but the sleeves were way too long there. That is normally my problem that they are way too long in the sleeve.
I might have a look on the Next website and see if they have anything.
Answer:
I got mine from MS in the winter and it fits perfectly. I doubt if they have any left on sale, but I'd really recommend having a look there for some new ones. It wasn't even in the petite section either - it was in the main section, not even Per Una. Maybe it was sold as a "short jacket" or something but I'm ickle too and the length is just right!

    Returns policy on ebay?
    Hi Ladies,
I don't normally sell clothes on ebay so don't normally specify a returns policy, but am selling my Galaxy and have been asked if I accept returns... Do most clothes sellers?
I don't really see why I'd want to, surely you'd just put it up again yourself if it did'nt fit, but I wanted to check what others do.
    Thanks all :)
    Answer:
When I sell clothing/shoes I don't accept returns because I always give measurements.
I rarely buy clothing without measurements, and most US bidders are the same but it doesn't seem to be that big of a thing in the UK. :)
    Answer:
I don't as a rule accept returns, I think it's kind of an unwritten rule with ebay that unless the item is faulty you don't return it, just sell it on.
Like dolphins, I always give lots of measurements and as much detail as possible in my description.
    Answer:
    Lovely, thanks ladies!

    Boot trees/shapers
Just been looking at the state of my pairs of long boots all crumpled up in the hall and thinking that I really must start taking more care of them!
So, I think putting those boot shapers/trees in them would be a start, at least so they would stay upright!
Would be grateful for any suggestions of good/cheap online stockists as have been searching without much luck.
    Thanks in advance!

    NO.5. ask :
What to wear for an Awards Ceremony (sort of)
I have to go to a rather posh Theatre Awards ceremony in a couple of weeks time, but unfortunately to work, not as a guest. :(
I work for the organisation that runs the awards (which are very prestigeous within the industry) and I have been asked to help out on the night. I think I will mainly showing people to their seats, so probably just a glorified usher really! Anyway I don't know what to wear. The guests will be pretty dressed up (I think it is black tie), so I don't want to look scruffy, but I don't want to look overdressed either I will need to wear comfortable shoes as I'll have to move around alot. The other people working are male so they will all just be wearing dark suits, which I don't want to as my suits really are very daytime/interview suits.
    Any suggestions?
    Answer:
i think sticking to black and white would be a good idea, unless the organisation has a recognisable colour scheme which you could work into your outfit somehow? ballet flats or pointed flats will be easy on your feet but still quite 'dressy'. maybe something wide legged black trousers with a black wrap/kimono style top might work? you could wear coloured shoes and matching accessories to lift your outfit a bit. wearing your hair up would also lessen the risk of you looking scruffy.
    Answer:
    That's a lovely idea, hyperballad.
I think a pretty wrap top or wool jumper would look lovely with some smart trousers and ballet flats.
If you don't want to wear trousers, you could wear a tea-length dress and flats with your hair up or a knee length skirt with aftermentioned tops.
