I went there yesterday (we have a new 4 floor 1 :yay: )
they had lots of skinny jeans in also some cropped 1s in black and navy- but they are sooo small!
Cute patent pumps im black,navy and white.
Plain black puff sleeve button down dresses- tho i resisted these and now i have that "oh god why did i not buy it" feeling :rolleyes:
There are still alot of striped things in there and millions of various style and fabric city shorts:)

Hi! :) I have tried this look on many times but it never looks quite right on me so I end up taking it off and changing. I think it looks best if you find jeans which are very plain up top with no pockets or a waist band so it juves a flat line without any lumps and bumps. Trinny pulls this look off really well i think with chiffony dresses :)

I agree with what Nursie said about plain jeans. Try to get a plain belt as well if you need one with the jeans.
This look works best on me with skinny jeans and a long jumper dress.
I wear a belt or sash over the dress as well to give me some shape (and to cover up any 'bumps' from the jeans!)

I think it works if you're pretty tall and slim. Otherwise you run the risk of being swamped.

I love this look! I keep meaning to try it but havent got round to it yet. I think it looks good if it's a very short dress, cos it works like a long-line top - also, the jeans have to be skinny jeans I think, otherwise you risk 'bulking up' too much and looking out of proportion. :)

The question is..... what trousers would you wera them with? 3/4 jeans I am thinking? These look nice but I only own full length leather pants - and I'm not sure the combination would work???

I think they can be just as versatile as black shoes and a lot more fun! I wear mine with everything!
They look great from under a pair of bootleg trousers or jeans - especially to brighten up a black outfit. Also you can wear them with skinny jeans and rock a very 80's look :)
I also wear mine with long shorts (to my knee) or with 3/4 length trousers/jeans for a bit of a dressier look. Also can be used to jazz up a black skirt or dress...
I wouldn't wear them with leather trousers, but that's because that's just not my style.
I don't know what your budget is - but New Look have a LOT of gold shoes in at the minute, and some very much like that style in the picture, so you might want to check it out :)

Although you might not think it, gold is an extremely wearable colour - a reason why those metallic bags have been selling like hot cakes!
I'm not sure I'd personally wear gold shoes with leather trousers, as it might look a bit shiny,and maybe like you've raided cher's wardrobe. :o sorry
i think that jeans, maybe some dark indigo ones, or dark, smart trousers would be fab with them :great:

when i wear them, i tend not to wear anything else 'flashy' because i feel then it's too much... so no short skirts or boobs on show, generally the rest of the outfit is understated then :)

I never thought I would go for the metallic thing but I have ballet pumps in gold, bronze and pewter. I've also just bought a pair of gold brocade platform heels.

I know I shouldn't have started another thread but I couldn't help myself! I can't believe how warm they are the sheepskin is so thick plush. :cloud9: I'm so glad I caved in bought a pair. Before, I couldn't understand why anyone would pay that much for a pair of Uggs but now I know why!
I also just wanted to let everyone know about the sizing. I know it's different for everyone but I'm normally a size 5 in heeled boots but a 4 in flats my size 3 Uggs fit perfectly. :) I was a bit worried they would be too tight as lots of people have said they are at first but they aren't for me. They are snug but not tight at all.
I ordered mine from Hartings on the 1st of Feb they've only taken 9 days to arrive so their delivery is back on track now.
I'm soooooo pleased with them glad they fit ok as I would've hated to send them back for a different size.
Anyway I'll stop going on now - I must sound really annoying! :lol:

I have to confess that I too hated uggs with a passion until I got some and now I'm peeved if I have to wear "proper" footwear. Mine are from Celtic Sheepskin whose service and quality is fantastic. They are not Ugg Australia brand but their own brand made in Cornwall - supporting the British economy, not Americans exploiting a far eastern sweatshop labour.

i bought some boots from celtic sheepskin - they are lush arent they? just a shame i had to take them back as they were faulty :(
