On a shoe quest
After my blue ebay shoes turned out to be too small (my mother is stealing them for her birthday :D) I am on the look out for a replacement.
I want them to be about 2-2.5 inches heels but they HAVE to be wide at the top - so a cone heel is good, but a stillie isn't IYSWIM. And they must be round toed.
Anyone seen anything? I havent seen any nice mid heels about :(

How about Schuh, FP? They have some very nice little vintagey Mary Janes with reasonably sturdy mid-height heels (I think I've seen green, brown and black, possibly bronze also). They're on my hitlist for next month :D

My favourite updo is a soft, slightly shaggy, falling-out-in-a-good way French twisty thing, but I think a pony tail (same sort of slightly dishevelled look that Cameron Diaz does well) would work with that outfit too. I personally wouldn't go for anything too sleek or glam.

I've just bought a fab fab fab black pencil skirt from Morgan. I was looking high and low for a top to go with it - but all I could find in the vast majority of shops was the hideous 80's throwback crap I used to wear when I was younger, circa 1986!! :eek:
What's going on?!?!? There doesn't seem to be any new ideas out there! I want something fab, classy and generally an all round top for going out, but nothing empire line - had enough of that when I was pregnant! And nothing with lace - bleugh!
Any ideas??? :uzzle:

I wear my plum satin pencil skirt with a dusty pink camisole when I'm going out, with a cute little cardi over the top if it's cold. Very classic and safe (for me ;) :lol: ) but it looks good, so who cares!
I quite like little feminine chiffony blouses or tops with it (belted in with a nice belt) - a bit too girly on me, but it looks great on other people.
And I also see nothing wrong with a black pencil skirt, well-fitting white tee shirt, fantastic shoes and statement jewellery for a night out :cool:

(eg. UK 10. USA 6)
But i have checked the following 2 conversion charts and they say one size

That's my understanding too - a UK 8 is a US 4, at least on my HM clothes.

Well, I'm looking at the label on a Mango skirt, and it says US 6, UK 10. So the difference does appear to be two sizes.

Yes, you can return purchases to any other Primark store.
I've also heard rumours about a Primakr opening on Oxford Street, but I'll only believe it when I see it.

They are supposed to have taken over some of the Allders stores but can't imagine the oxford st. traders welcoming Primark, especially as they would only be yards away from Selfridges!
