Sorry for another o/t thread. Me and my boyfriend want to go somewhere hot next week, need to leave on Sat/ Sun because of work. We were looking at an amazing place in mexico on lastminute.com at the weekend but it's not there anymore and there's nowhere else like it. i saw a gorgeous dark blue pleated skirt in a very light cotton today, and, while it was lovely, i couldn't think of anything to wear with it. i often have this trouble with skirts. what do you think?

I'm a skirt and boots girlie myself, but that's because I don't like my legs and it's the only way I can bring myself to wear them.

I have about 4-5 skirts like this that I've bought with Summer in mind. I'd wear with them:
A plain tee.
A jersey top of some sort -cap sleeved, ruched neck, longline - loads of choice there.
A vest
Denim jacket. light blazer
Pumps, flip-flops

I always wear my A-line skirts with very fitted tops or shirts in order to balance out outfit.
Also, as A-line skirts are usually quite girly, Id go for a plain-ish fitted puffy/cap sleeve shirt or even fitted thin knit tank tops :)
Hope this helps and blue goes with lots of colours, ie cream, white, green, royal blue, baby blue, pale blue, pale pink, red, brown, beige (id just stay away from orange but then again thats because i always find orange and blue yucky:( sorry!:o )

yep, i'm thinking bandeau's, halterneck tops, sleeveless and cap sleeved thin t-shirts. colours i can manage. it's dark blue with a gold trim (very resort wear - i shall have to pretend i'm worth a million dollars) so i'm going to stick to white as i like a muted palette. thanks ladies :)
