Naive ebay-novice question
Do sellers on ebay push your bid up to the maximum and then send you a 2nd chance buy-it-now offer?
or am I being really paranoid.. I'm sure that is what just happened.. and although I like the item, I'm not sure I want to pay maximum bid-price for it.. especially if I am being semi-conned.
sorry if I just have an over-active imagination, but I only just started using ebay
Answer:
A seller will offer you a 2nd chance offer on an item if they have more than one to sell or the highest bidder hasn't paid. It's all above board and as soon as the item has ended they can do this.
If the seller has another account and is bidding on their own items to push the price up then that is called shill bidding and is against ebay's rules and it's taken very seriously. I'm sure it still happens but whether it was the case with your item I don't know.
You are under no obligation to purchase the item with the 2nd chance offer though, if you think it's too high you can walk away.
HTH :)

Super holdy inny knickers
where can i get some?! i have that stripey Dorothy P dress and i really want to wear it this weekend but i need some pants that hold me in at the hips and conceal the flab! dont really have time to order online so i guess its going to have to be Marks or Debenhams... which is better, and any particular brand?!
Thanks!
Answer:
i got some from tescos and they just basically push the flab up from your belly to above the waistband of the pants. i would never wear them again
Answer:
damn, home liposuction it is :(

Answer:
I have some I got from Figleaves, I cant remember what brand they are, but they were £8.50 and they go from the knees right up to under your bra strap. They are really good for the price and you dont get any nasty overhang over the top! Figleaves delivery is pretty quick I ordered them one day, they came the next. They were a nude colour, I'm sure you will see them on the figleaves website.

Hi there baggers.
I know this is a career thing really but it's fashion related too so I thought I would run it by u lovely ladies.
Im in Ireland and am frankly obsessed with fashion and thinking of doing a night course in personal styling with the Dublin institute of design.
Its 850€ for an 8 week course ( 2 1/2 hours every thursday night).
I am 32 and work as a co ordinator in a call centre.
Does anybody have any experience of doing these type of courses and how easy is it to break into the industry?
thanks all
Answer:
Hi! :)
I cannot really help as no longer living in Ireland, but I would definitely suggest posting in ivenus.com as most girls there also live in Dublin and youd probably gets lots of good advice too! :)
The course sounds cool (part-time or full-time?) and if thats your main passion, why not go for it! ;)
All the best of luck and sorry I cant be of much help right now :(

Impulsive Lush spy purchase, but I have a question!

Impulsive Lush spy purchase, but I have a question!
I just ordered a medium spy bag from Lush in teal  Totally a spur of the moment purchase but I have been lusting after it for quite a while and decided to just go for it!
But I do have a question, which in all fairness I should have asked first :o (but would have bought the bag anyway) I've done a search but they've either culled a load of posts or search isn't working properly
So, does the medium spy fit on your shoulder, or can you just carry it on your arm? Its not that big an issue either way, but would be nice if I had the option of putting it on my shoulder.
thanks :D

I have a feeling it doesn't chick! Could be completely wrong though as i don't own one yet:o
I'm sure someone said the handle is too tight on the medium to put under your arm:confused:

Hi shining star,
I got the exact same bag (for £44!) about 3 weeks ago. I love it. It kind of fits over my shoulder if I'm wearing a thin jacket, but the outside strap tends to fall off. I've been mostly carrying it on my arm, or else just in my hand.
It's a fab bag anyway, I'd been thinking about getting the large one but it's just the right size for me. Enjoy!
Please help me to find some beautiful shoes!
NO.5. ask :
Please help me to find some beautiful shoes!
Hello,
I'm getting married next year (abroad, but not sure where yet), and I want to treat myself to a beautiful pair of shoes/sandals for the big day. I know it's a long time until next year, but I'm going to London for a few days soon, and as I probably won't be in London again until after the wedding, I'll have to get the shoes now.
I am not setting myself a budget, but as I normally never spend much on shoes, I have no idea where the best places for gorgeous, good quality shoes are. My fiance won't be happy to be dragged around more than 2 or 3 shops, so I'd appreciate your advice on the best shops to visit. Which brands would you recommend? Gina? Jimmy Choo? Manolo Blahnik? Prada? Gucci? Are some brands more comfortable than others?
I don't want typical cream bridal shoes. I want shoes/sandals that I will be able to wear on many occasions after the wedding. So shoes that would go with most outfits, if such shoes exist (clear sparkly ones maybe?).
Also, I don't want high heels, because I can't walk in them (A mid heel would be ok).
And because I have narrow feet, they fall out of shoes that don't hold the foot in securely; therefore I need shoes with straps that come up quite high, or that go around the ankle.
That sounds a lot to ask, doesn't it - should I give up now?! If anyone has any suggestions for suitable shoes/sandals, then I'd love to hear your ideas and opinions. Please help me fashion 'baggers - I haven't got a clue when it comes to shoes!
Thanks.
Answer:
1 Attachment(s) definately have a look at the gina website. these shoes are gorgeous. if u look at the website they have hundreds of gorgoues shoes which you can wear for your wedding but arent bridal so you can wear them after as well.
Answer:
Oh we have MORE than a clue when it comes to shoes :rawk:
My first thought was the the ones Toosh had for her wedding from Gina but then you said you don't want them too high and need straps so that rules those out but have a look on Gina's site to see if there's anything suitable....
www.ginashoes.com
I have a couple of pairs of Gina and they are quite comfy.
Choos are also very comfortable, look on www.jimmychoo.com as they also have a fair few pairs of lowered heeled ones.
If your man gets fed up of going to different shops I'd take him to Selfridges as they are all next to one another there....
Answer:
they have loadsa different heel heights on gina at the mo, also take a look at the sale section on there as i just spotted some plain ivory shoes under special offers in a size 6 so if you want some gorgous shoes but dont wanna spend £300 then def check it out, u never know

Thanks ipswich shoe ga :) .
Those shoes are gorgeous, but I'd never be able to walk in those heels in a million years!
I'm off to have a look at the Gina website. I'm assume that the shoes on the website are available in store right now...
