Oops, first sign of madness talking to yourself :p
Answer:
* Black here
* More jeans
* Silver flats
* Wide leg black trousers
* Tops for work
Erm ..oh more jewellery.
Answer:
Caramel you reminded me jeans.
Answer:
* A black leather waist belt to wear over the top of my knee length black winter coat to make it more fitted, it's a bit shapeless at the moment
* The green leather ballet pumps I saw in Topshop last week
* More little cami tops to throw on with jeans when going for a drink with friends
* A big 'statement' necklace to wear with a plain vest, jeans and flip-flops
* Long line vest tops in various colours
* Plain black V-neck jumper
* 7FAMK Dojo jeans (have been wanting these for ages, and debating if I can afford £90!)
* Some sort of more stylish bag/holdall sort of thing to use when travelling home to see my family at weekends (at the moment I usually take a backpack and about 6 carrier bags - its difficult to get them all on and off the train, and it also makes me look like a bag lady). No idea where to start looking though! Going to make a thread about it in a min :)
Gosh, quite a long list then :o I thought I only had a couple of things!

  • Stylish holdall/suitcase for travelling?

    Stylish holdall/suitcase for travelling?
    Fashion girlies, I need your help please!
    I'm at uni and go home to visit my family and OH most weekends, involving many trains, buses and taxis. I have a small suitcase but it's a bit too big to take on the train, it wont fit in the overhead compartment things - so I usually resort to a backpack and several tatty carrier bags, which is not a good look :(
    So I'm looking for a more stylish way to travel - maybe a smaller 'carry-on' suitcase, or holdall that will squash up to fit in the overhead compartment. Even just a nice alternative to a backpack would do (the one I have looks like I've nicked my little brother's schoolbag!)
    Long shot, but has anyone got any ideas of what I could use?
    Answer:
    What's your budget GJ?
    Answer:
    Anything! Am desperate :lol: Obviously being a student, I want to spend as little as possible.... but will go up to maybe £80 if its a lovely bag/suitcase/holdall/whatever :)
    Answer:
    I will go-a-hunting! :reporter:
    Answer:
    Theres some decent looking travel bags on DP's website in white, mint, brown or black at the moment....though their not leather and you'd probably need to see them to check the quality.
    ETA Thinking about it, their probably too small :rolleyes:

    NO.4. ask :
    City shorts
    Hi all
    Have been thinking about getting a couple of pairs of city shorts for work but am unsure what sort of top to wear with them. As I'd be wearing them for work I need to be fairly smart but as I'm big boobed I find wearing a shirt a nightmare as they always gape. Anyone have any tips?
    Thanks
    A
    Answer:
    A fine knit polo neck jumper, this will also dress the look down for daywear.
    Or maybe a T-shirt, Long sleeved top, i would go for highneck as it will tone the look down, plus the shorts will already make the statement.
    Answer:
    Hi Aklyja!
    I have city shorts on today and am wearing them with:
    long length, long sleeved cream v neck top, under
    black very deep V faux wrap knitted top with short cap sleeves
    black patterned tights
    pewter courts
    and couple of strands of long beads
    also wear polo neck jumpers, plain tops under waistcoats etc
    xx
    Answer:
    SB, what a gorgeous outfit!!
    I usually wear them with satin camisoles under deep V jumpers, high necks make boobs look bigger but Vs cut them in half - you can wear a girly, pretty (lace, beaded detail) cami if you like or keep it simple. (Don't flame me, lovely Sadie!! :lol:)
    I often wear them with tights and shoeboots, peep toe platforms or courts - but never pumps, I tend to wear those with skinnies as I have short legs - but I think that's just personal opinion, not really fashion advice!
    Answer:
    Hi! :)
    I too have a fairly good city-short collection and would wear them with:
    -Victorian style fitted tops (these should not gape as shirts would)
    -Shirts (in my case, I wear them fitted but Id suggest you wear a bigger size :))
    -Tank tops over a round neck long sleeve tee or shirt or victorian style top (looks great and smart!)
    -Wrap around tops or cardies (over said tees, shirts/tops)
    -Polo neck fitted tops (thin knitt works better!)
    -Waistcoats for night time (closed up and nothing underneath for a sexy look) or with top underneath for day time
    And then you can match them with flat or kitten heel boots/heels for day or high heels/boots for night ;) :)
    I looooooooove my shorts as such a good, stylish alternative to skirts! (plus, look nice from behind! ;) )
    :)

    NO.5. ask :
    Lace Up Boots - in or out
    I have seen a nice pair of rund toe lace up boots in Clarks for £75.00. Not sure whether to get them, as Spring is around the corner.....do you think its worth or try next Winter!!
    http://www.marshallward.co.uk/mward/...7CC36V0W0GU 0
    Answer:
    Those boots are lovely! I have some similar ones that I have had for years and always wear them, they are one of my favourite pairs of shoes/boots.
    They're quite a classical style so I don't they will look wrong next winter.
    Go for it!
    Tani
    Answer:
    lovely! - what a great boot!
    Answer:
    I personally don't like them, they remind me of lace-up school shoes! I think that if you were spending £75 on some boots you'd be better off getting some plainer ones! BUT that's just my opinion :)
    Answer:
    Hey, if you're buying them directly from a Clarks shop they should be half price...£35 I think.
