Found a dress! Need shoe advice pls!
Morning everyone. Hope you all had good weekends.
Well, I found a dress for my birthday! :yay:
It's from Kookai (in the 30% off deal). It's a black halter neck wrap dress. The halter bit has all little sparkly stones and beads on it and the belt bit around the middle is silver stones and beads. (Not OTT, just pretty!)
Thing is, whilst it isn't Girls Aloud, I think if I wear strappy sandals it might be getting that way... Do you think just plain black heels would look ok?
(I'd post a picture but I opened the Kookai website and it came up massive on my screen - somebody at work just asked me what it was really loudly so I have to keep a low profile!!!)

Why don't you wear a different colour of shoes, eg red? Don't know how much your budget is, but new look had (and office have similar but more expensive), lovely red glittery round toed shoes with bows on the toes.
I don't know if that would be too much with the stones on the dress, but you could then get a red bracelet or something to match.

Not a long one more three quarter length to go to Disney Paris in approx 3 weeks.
Can't really afford more than £65 so less than that or any in the sale would be great! Or any that come with discounts ;)

Just watched the mens one on This Morning and it does work! They threw muddy water at it, washed it and tumble dried it.
It came out PERFECT without the need to iron either!

I've just had a tidy-up and found a Topshop cardi on my shelf that I haven't worn - I bought it off the website, and it looked very different IRL - I don't actually like it very much, and want to return it, but I stupidly threw the despatch note away *kicks self*
It still has the tags on, and I know they usually give credit notes if something's returned wth tags, BUT I bought it about 6 weeks ago, so it would be over the 28-day return limit. My Q is - do you think they'd still give me a credit note anyway? They aren't going to know whether I bought it 4 weeks ago or 6 weeks, are they?
Is it worth a trip into town?

Hmm I dunno. My local store wouldn't give me vouchers, I had to either exchange it for something in the store there and then or go to Oxf Street and exchange it there :rolleyes:
I don't see why they wouldn't give you vouchers though. I think the SA in my local store was just being a bitch that day!
If they don't give you vouchers then just exchange it and then go to another store and exchange the new item for vouchers with the new receipt - if you can be bothered that is!

That sounds about right :lol: Ah well, even if they make me exchange it there and then, I'm sure I'll find something - I'll stock up on plain vest tops and tees if I can't find anything else!
I just don't want them to look at me like I've nicked it or something! (as I do find this, if I ever return things without a reciept, they sometimes look at you a bit strangely!)

TS are being very funny about giving a gift card for items without receipts, they wouldn't let me for 'those' yellow shoes.
They do let you exchange though for the price it's currently at so if it's been reduced you will only be allowed that amount worth of exchange.

I've never ever seen a 6, it's usually only 8-10 isn't it. Agree they can come up quite big sometimes though, it's annoying!

havent tried on these vests specifically yet, but have a size 8 black racer back one which is MASSIVE on me - I'm usually a size 10, v.annoying! although does make me feel like a skinny minnie ;)
