Flattish red boots

NO.1. Ask :
Flattish red boots
Does anyone know where i can buy some calf/knee length red boots? Kind of kitten heel pixi/boho type boots. There is a picture of Kate Lawler in Ok magazine in the celebrities bodies section which are exactly what i'm looking for.
I had a look on ebay but the best i could find is thigh length patent red boots. not quite the look i wanted :o
Answer:
These any good? They look a bit pink on the website, but I've seen them IRL and they were nice!

Yup, they are just about exactly what i'm looking for. Thank you!!
Seen a lovely little blue and red dress that i really like but wanted to dress down rather than up.

Glad you liked them :) I was tempted to buy them myself when I saw them, but am not meant to be spending at the moment *slaps wrist*
They would look really cute with a dress! You'll have to post a pic when you get the outfit together :)
Answer:
Bah, i too am not supposed to be spending money either and am now thinking of dipping into my bonus money from Xmas that I saved to put together with redundancy money next month to pay off my loan.
It's so wrong but when i see something i really like i just have to have it otherwise it keeps me awake at night.

I'm going ice-skating tomorrow, what the feck am I supposed to wear?? help please!
    Answer:
Aww I haven't been ice skating since I was little!!
I would wear something warm and something that won't restrict movement too much. A nice chunky knit and jeans perhaps? You can always wear a nice bright scarf :)

I agree about the restricting movement, especially since I will probably end up on my bum more than once :o
would skinny jeans be ok do you think? When I've been ice skating before (many-a-year ago) my trousers always used to get wet at the bottom :(

As long you can move freely in skinny jeans they'd be good! Ideal for tucking into your skates so you don't get the bottoms wet too ;) :)
    Answer:
Oooh I love ice-skating! To be honest I think it depends how good you are, if you're a slow mover and spend a lot of time hanging onto the edge then deff wear warm stuffs, but otherwise you warm up really fast when skating so either layer or just don't wear too much, but be cold at first. Deff wear gloves if you think you will fall over too!
I'm sure skinny jeans will be fine if they are one that won't cut off your blood supply and then you can tuck them into your skates.
    Have fun :)

  • Slightly O/T - Asking for codes on the Discount Thread

    NO.4. ask :
Slightly O/T - Asking for codes on the Discount Thread
I don't mean to point the finger at anyone in particular (apologies to anyone who thinks that I am), but this is something that I also noticed on the other discount thread: It's a bit annoying when people don't check the thread first and try the codes that have been posted already before asking for a new one.
It also makes the thread longer, meaning that people can't be bothered to check the entire thread and thus post asking for a code, thus making the thread longer, etc etc.
    :(
Off the top of my head, I don't have any suggestions in terms of how we can get around this, but perhaps we could use this thread to discuss it. If no one else thinks that it's an issue (yet), then that's fine. Just thought that it was worth bringing up.
    :)
    Answer:
I agree, (also not pointing fingers!) especially when people ask for codes when theres codes they could use on the first page of the thread
    Answer:
I don't mean to moan but you read my mind jasmine.
It really does my head in sometimes, it's so simple to just skim through. That's why i suggested the code the site is for being written in capitals at the start of the post - hence making it easy for skimming.
I think i'm gonna ask elle to delete all chit chat and questions.
    Answer:
    *Phew!*
I don't mean to moan either, but I just thought that it could become an issue - if it isn't one already!
Thanks Funkymoo and CiC - I thought I might get flamed!
    :)
ETA: CiC - I think your suggestion might be the way to go :D
    Answer:
No, you are right that's just lazy.
To get around the issue I just post a separate thread asking for a code, that way the doscount stiky doesn't get cluttered
