Your first "fashion" memory?
Anyone who knows me will agree I love shoes! From the age of 5 and my first pair of black patent shoes, I was hooked. My first purchases (or ones that my Mum bought me, only being 5 and all) included some lovely red patents and some princess shoes with the key from Clarks. Mum could never work out why I didn't like any of the shoes in Clarks and other childrens shoe shops until she discovered that because the shop floor was carpeted and I couldn't hear the "tappiness" of my shoes-to-be I wasn't interested.
It all made sense after that, especially since my favourite place in the house was the marble fireplace (you could really test tappy shoes out on that).
Answer:
Heehee my earliest fashion-related memories are first, walking around in my mums high heels, and second, wearing my dad's flat cap! Unfortunately I think there's photographic evidence of both at my parents house...
Answer:
Wow ..I remember the Clarks Princess Shoe ads :)
Answer:
I always wanted the clarks princess shoes with the key, but my feet were too narrow!! But try telling they just don't fit your feet to a 5 yaer old!!
I was another one who always wanted to wear what I picked form an early age, mum always says how she had nightmares shoppig with me for outfits, cos I wasn't a girly girl like any of the other little girls we knew, I wanted to wear trousers and nice tops to parties.
Oh if only kids clothes were as nice then as they are now.
Although I do think some kids clothes are too like adult clothes, 5 and 6 year olds in mini skirts, knee boots and crop tops is just wrong in my opinion.

I had them too - I loved them! My mum used to always make me wear Clarks shoes, and the Princess Steps ones were the only ones I didn't complain about :D
First fashion memory - well I can't remember it, but there's a photo of my wearing my mum's stilettoes and here when I was 18 months old - my family put it in the local paper on my 18th birthday with the messaage "See your shoe and bag addiction started early" :o
First proper memory - going to choose some 'party' shoes with my mum, I was probably about 6 years old. They had a tiny heel - I mean tiny, maybe 1 inch - but I thought they was fab :D They were patent too, clearly I was fashionable before my time

Good idea! Retail therapy always works :D Buy some shooooooes! Or a really nice bag. Or some chocolates!
I'm not allowed to treat myself for a few weeks (have done enough of that lately!) but if I was, I'd buy these. (No more treating myself for a few weeks though, have done enough of that lately!).

hate bare legs?
NO.4. ask :
hate bare legs?
Does anyone else absolutely hate baring their legs? I have bad keratosis pilaris and it mainly affects my upper legs but the sides of my lower legs are nevertheless pretty hideous too. Coupled with my dry skin, I tend to avoid baring my legs at all cost as from a distance, it just looks like I haven't shaved them or have some far more severe skin condition. A friend once made a joking comment about it (she didn't realise it was a skin condition and didn't mean to be hurtful) - I didn't respond but that did make me quite paranoid.
I wear skirts but only ever with tights. I just find it annoying that I can't wear a nice knee length evening dress with open toe shoes, simple things like that.
Anyone else hate their legs for this or any other reason?
Answer:
I hate my legs altogether - the shape, the size, skintone, condition, etc. It's my knees mainly - I'd love to know how fast they must've grown to have stretchmarks on them  and they're huge and knobbly. Ugh. But as for the condition, I think they look much better with tights on - the vintage ones from Tesco's make them look so much nicer and clearer. They're not so thick that it looks like you've layered foundation or summat on them like I think most tights do, but the material's different, and it's translucent without showing too much - covers up veins and allsorts, and makes them look nicely tanned. The open-toed shoe thing isn't a problem for me because I hate feet too, so won't wear sandals ! I do have some peeptoes but only ever wear them with jeans so baring my legs doesn't come into it.
I've heard Sally Hansen's airbrush legs is supposed to be really good for improving the look of legs, and covers up everything you hate about them, but I haven't tried it yet. Anyone else ?
Have you seen a dermatologist or someone about your skin condition ? Maybe there's something they can prescribe for it.
Answer:
I hate my legs too. They are covered in ugly blue veins and thread veins, coupled with stretch marks, and even if it weren't for that I just think they look ugly so mostly just wear trousers.
Answer:
I hate my legs too! I have large calves so getting a suit that suits isn't the easist thing in the world. I also have a mug sized patch of psiorasis on my shin which either goes a) really red, or b) really flaky. I will only ever wear a skirt *with* tights. Except when I was in Thailand - it was too hot there ;)
Answer:
You have probably seen these before but I find them great of I want to wear a skirt / dress with some peep toe shoes. :)
These Shoes
NO.5. ask :
These Shoes
From Ebay... I don't know if it's payday talking, but I like these. But I don't know if the stripes might make them look a bit dated a few months down the line?
Honest opinions please!
