Anyone near a big London Gap?
Like the big one on Oxford street?
I'm having some bother with a pair of jeans I saw in a magazine a while back - Feb Eve. They were listed as "Gap wide legged jeans". I've been into a couple of big Gap stores in the south east and they've never heard of them. They suggested the "boy fit" jeans they do instead but they're nothing like.
I tried calling Gap but just got through to a computer - an automated store finder. I tried calling the magazine, who confirmed they were definitely gap jeans - the girl who worked on the piece remembered the label - and promised to talk to Gap and get back to me (she hasn't).
I'm assuming it's one of their seasonal lines that doesn't go into all stores.
Has anyone been into one of the big London Gap stores recently, and seen these? If they're definitely there I'll arrange a trip to London, but I'd need babysitters etc. so it's really not worth doing on the off chance.
Thanks!

Answer:
I'm going to one on Sunday funnily enough! I go to quite a few as my brother is a corner man. Basically it's still very male orientated so I tend to not dress up, put it this way if you do dress up you get the same sort of attention that you do if you walk through a building site
I tend to wear jeans and a dressy top and coat. You do get the odd girl that go really full on Footballers Wives style with lots of peroxide hair, skirts up their backsides and thigh high boots which obviously is appreciated by the men but it's a bit much!!
Who you watching?
Answer:
I'm definitely not a "Footballers Wives" kinda girl so hopefully I'll be ok!
Off to watch Joe Calzaghe and Jeff Lacy, we're coming down from Edinburgh so making a long weekend of it.....can't wait!!
Answer:
Ah yes, if it's Frank Warren promoted it's probably by brother's mate that will be doing the corner. Have a great night! It's normally a bit cold too depending on the arena.

I quite fancy going to a boxing match!
sorry that is a bit random!!

Answer:
Mandmsports.co.uk (or .com, I can't remember), will have stuff like that, they're like an online sports' shop.
Where to buy Uggs in Oz?
NO.4. ask :
Where to buy Uggs in Oz?
Just wondered if any of you could help?
I'm heading to Oz at the end of March, and was wanting to get some Uggs whilst I was out there.
Firstly, are they likely to be cheaper there than ordering online?
Secondly does anyone now where I can actually buy them?
We're going to be in Brisbane and Perth so either of these areas would be good.
Answer:
Well, when i was there you could pretty much get them in any surf/ski/snowboard shop, and there are a lot of them about!! As far as I can remember, they were about $100, which is about £50...not a bad wee bargain!! not sure how muc they are online, so I can't tell you how they compare!
Peachy xox
Answer:
Brilliant!
I'll keep an eye out then, as I'll need a 'souvenir' of my hols, and they'll be the perfect thing!
Thank you!:)
Answer:
Hi, I live in Sydney not Brisbane or Perth but it seems to me that they are very abundant in surfy shops, and also in touristy "Australiana" and leather goods stores. The ones in the latter two seem to be a bit better quality with more variation and a lot of classic styles (e.g. tall chesnut, tall black with tie detailing a la Sienna) whereas the surfy stores (at least the ones in Sydney!) tend to go more for the baby pink/baby blue variants. 100 bucks sounds about right with pricing, as far as I can remember.
HTH Good luck with your search! k :)
Answer:
Get them from
Nganjo
6/17 High Street
Fremantle

and then you can also get crap ones from major department stores. But if you want the real deal, Ngajo is your place.
Skinny jeans R.I.P

Skinny jeans R.I.P
Woo-hoo :yay: :yay:
Answer:
I won't stop wearing my skinny jeans as I've been wearing them for years now - think they look much smarter on a night out with heels! I also wear bootcut and baggy jeans too, so guess I'm 'in' no matter what :D

Me too. Bootcut, flared, mooches or skinny jeans - I love them all!
I love my bootcut ones the best though :)
Answer:
ugh what a silly little article. is nobody else getting a loose=flattering loose=flattering loose=flattering vibe throughout. i bet the person who wrote them is secretly yearning for these to be back in style:
baggy jeans make me look fatter anyway, not thinner.

I love my drainpipes and since Marc Jacobs himself sent super skinny cigarette pants down the catwalk for this season it's very contradictory. I also like to think Balenciaga know a bit about fashion as well and they did a full on skinny jeaned rock chick collection.
I'll definitely be wearing mine for a while to come.
