Dilemma!!
Hello!!
I ordered some slingback shoes (along with CiC) from Argos Additions aaaages ago - they never arrived.
I emailed them several times trying to track them down, and after checking with their couriers Additions came back to me and said they were sorry but they couldnt locate them, they would refund my card (which they did) and that i was free to re-order if I so wished.
I didnt re-order because I bought those French Connection ones I posted about, and I couldnt justify another pair.
Anyways, guess what turned up today? Yep - the Additions Slingbacks.
They came via Royal Mail so I can only assume they were delayed in that flipping strike.
What should I do? Okay okay - so I should ring Additions and offer to pay, but Im off shopping for lent, and the shoes are ever so pretty!!! :D

Keep them! It's their mistake for being badly organised, so I wouldn't even feel guilty about it ;)

I'd just hold onto them - I'm sure they've already claimed on their insurance for them being lost? did you have to sign for them though?

I have workmen in and one of them just brought my post into me - bless him - but they arent special delivery or anything, and there is no sticker on them to say they had been signed for....so unless he signed for it, but I doubt it?
I suppose if they chase me I could just plead ignorance and say I just assumed that they had been located and therefore my cad would be debited again?

I'm planning on wearing my white skinnies on saturday night with a tight leopard print top and bright pink high strappy sandals!

But I am planning on wearing them but think it's still too cold (i.e. they're more summery). Then again it is March now! Thinking of wearing them with a long length black tee with either a black leather belt or black sleevless shirt worn loose over the top, black and dark silver beads and dark silver peep toes. Or will it look too black and white? A nice navy top would be nice if I could fine one :uzzle:

I was there too but i dont think anyone who was at the concert had any idea of anything going on. It was quite a bit before it ended and happened somehere outside. It must have been sorted out pretty quickly as i didn't notice anything when we left.
I didn't know about it til this morning!!
Its a bit scary thinking that something like that is happening so close though.

I must have misheard the news, apparently it was a steward that got shot in the face. He refused entry to someone without a ticket so they come back and shot him:( How awful!

It is awful, thing is, it seems to be becoming more and more normal all this gun crime in b'ham. Normally in areas i wouldn'nt chose to go but outside a concert with thousands of people and loads of kids (which suprised me a bit) is a bit to close to home.

I have just been in HM and tried on 7 different peices of clothing - ranging in sizes m, L, 16 and 20. I chose things in 20 knowing they would be too big but wanted them to be oversized. So why is it the M top, the 16 top and 16 dress all fit perfectly and the larger marked stuff doesn't fit at all- too small... I dont understand at all!

I know exactly what you mean-when I was 16 a size large jumper wouldn't even go over my head, and I resolved not to go there again! I didn't for about 5 years either! But, it's not just h and m, when I went to Dp's a couple of years ago I tried on a pair of size 12 trousers and they wouldn't even go over my knees-granted I was probably a 14 by then, but still!

HM sizing is fooked big time. I'm a size 14 - I have one top in a size 10, another is a size 12, the majority of stuff in size 14. A few weeks ago I tried on a blazer, the size 14 was tight so I went up to the 16, there was hardly any difference, nor in the 18 or even the 20. :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: A SIZE 20 DIDN'T FIT. If that doesn't make you paranoid I don't know what does. Look at my style diary - I'm a big lass but I ain't a size 20 ;)

Its the inconsistency i cant stand - you get all happy because I 16 is a bit baggy and you know you could get away with a 14 (apply your own sizing to this example) and then you get a size 20 dress stuck on you head - hurrumph!!
