Just wanted to say Hi to you all as I am a new member to the here boards. I have been lurking for a long time now in Fashion and Celebrity Gossip (and enjoying all the great fashion tips here!).
But unfortunately I cannot buy a lot of stuff you talk anbout as I am living in the Netherlands (so no Primark for me)....

Hi, I often get dry lips (Actually only really since I've strted using carmex at nights!)
Anyway, I always get dry skin at the edge of my lips, really sore and cracked. I started putting coldsore cream on it because i thought that might be what it is, but i don't think it is anymore.
I've tried putting carmex on it (just spreading it outwards towards to the end of my lips, but that hasn't helped).
I've got sudocrem on it at the moment because it looks reallyred and chapped and also seems to be spreading outwards (I'm not sure if i'm picking it without realising)
It's not actually a blister, it;s just really chapped skin, but not actually on my lip, the corner of it :confused:
I'm going to the doctors soon anyway so I'll see what they say, but I wondered if anyone else had had a similar thing?

A quick google has revealed these possibilities....
yeast infections
vitamin deficiencies (vitamin B2 or riboflavin)
iron-deficiency anemia (low red blood cells due to too little iron)
allergic reaction to some substance (particularly products used on the lips, such as lip gloss/stick/balm, and even dental care/oral hygiene products, such as toothpaste

I've got this a few times on one side or t'other when I've been run down. It usually goes away when I'm back to normal.
Having said that, I've read in a couple of places that Carmex is actually drying on the lips. It could perhaps be the salycilic acid which is a chemical exfoliant. If you've just started using it, I'd suggest you discontinue and see if the lip problem goes away....

Ooh. Doesnt sound good! They are doing 3 pairs for £7 in Dorothy Perkins - might give them a go. My boyfriend likes them anyway, so at least one of us will be happy!

So long as they're not tight they're much better than thongs, which can always be seen because unless you have no body fat at all on your hips, the string that holds them on will dig in. Shorts are smooth and much neater.
