US size help
Am off to NY for Christmas and shopping is very high priority (obviously) and am trying to plan ahead and work out what size I am.. am size 8 with size 4 feet but when I go online and check it out I get a range of sizes telling me anything from size 2 to a size 6 so anyone know what sizes I should be looking out for...
Thanks!
Answer:
The standard thinking is 2 sizes down
If you are a size 8 you should be a size 4. I think it's the same with shoes too :)
Answer:
Hi,
Yeah i thought it was 2 sizes down as well but thought it was 2 sizes up in shoes - if you are a Uk 4 you need a 6/6.5.?!
xx
Answer:
The Land's End website has a UK to US size conversion

There's one for shoes on the site too.
Answer:
Oh yes sorry! :o
2 sizes down in clothes, 2 sizes up in shoes.
Waist belt placement!!

Waist belt placement!!
I have a question. . . .
Who wears their waist belts on their waist and who wears them placed higher?
I've noticed people wearing them almost under their bust. . .
Answer:
 I start out wearing mine round my waist but sometimes they ride up a little and it ends up under my boobs, I'd prefer it to stay in the waist area though:o
Saying that the queen of cinched in waists - Dita Von Teese seems to have hers drawn in under her bust too:meh:
Answer:
yeah but she's a nutter :p
Answer:
wearing it under the bust is the new 'chic' way of doing it. personally i think it's overdone already anyway.
Answer:
there were plent of celeb pics from before xmas with them wearing belts/scarves etc tied around/just under the bust - mainly when they were wearing 'empire line' dresses though

Sorry to keep asking inane questions but does anyone know the name of this Prada bag?
I'm sure this one is a fake but I know I've seen the real thing in the past, possibly with rivets on the sides in cream.
Thanks :)

Silver ballet pumps - none of them fit right!

Silver ballet pumps - none of them fit right!
Dear Baggers,
I have been on a mission for about 3 months to find a pair of silver ballet pumps. You may think to yourself that there are loads around but I have look everywhere and i can't find ones that fit properly. New Look's sizing is bizarre cause 5 is too small and 6 is too big. Barratts ballet pumps soles are way too hard! The only joy I had was in Peacocks but they only do them in gold!
I have looked in Faith, River Island, Schuh, Office, M S and Debenhams!!!
I need help!!!
Answer:
tried next?
Answer:
Gap also had some dull, kind of cracked, silver ones the other day - not sure of the sizing as I didn't try them on - will be next week though (want to today but have ski socks on as its so cold!) so will let you know....

Answer:

Answer:
I got some silver ones from Kurt Geiger a couple of months ago - about £35 I think. Really comfy and soft

OK, my wonderful hubby is treating me to my first Lush here :yay:
I need a new black bag the most at the moment. I think I will buy from natalies ebay store.
She has 2 on there I like, the medium black spy and a leather hobo padlock. Both look big enough for what I carry around.
I think Im edging towards the spy, but would be gratefull for your wisdom. Will either of them look out of date quicker etc. All views greatly received :)
Answer:
I don't think the padlock hobo comes in black does it, just very dark brown?
I had the dark brown one and didn't really like it, I sold it on, the lock was too big and it got in the way. I have the normal padlock bag and that doesn't bug me as much, so I'd say go for the spy.
Answer:
You are quite correct bella i just loooked at it again:) Doh:rolleyes:
Well that makes the decision much easier!
Answer:
It does look very dark on those photo's though but IRL it is definitely brown, so a spy it is then? :yay:
