Navy and....

NO.1. Ask :
Navy and....
I've just bought this top to go with these shoes. Is it ok to wear a black skirt with them? Or should I go for brown?
Thanks.
Answer:
If I had to choose between brown and black, I'd say brown because I've always felt that navy and black clash (even though they can be quite similar in shade)
Tbh I wouldn't put either colour with navy though - how about grey? Or you could go with the nautical theme of white or red?
:)
Answer:
Hiya
I wouldn't wear black...black and navy are terrible together IMHO.
Maybe brown or tan or lots of other colours really....just not black.
Answer:
Hmm... hadn't thought of grey....
Answer:
cream?

On Saturday night I am going to the after-wedding party of a friend of Mr PK's (a close relation, then :D ).
Very wrongly, I assumed it was going to be cocktail/evening/party dress.
How wrong could I be?! It's actually at a Working Men's Club! I have never been to one of those places in my entire life and I wouldn't have the first clue what people wear to these places!
    Heeeelp!
    Answer:
Lovely! I went to one of those for my cousins wedding reception, I wouldn't go too posh, maybe smart trousers and a nice top?
Do you know any other girls that are going, maybe you could quiz them.
Sorry I haven't been much help!
    xx
    Answer:
I've only ever been to a working man's club once, but I'd say to wear whatever you'd wear on a normal night out, but seeing as it's a wedding, nothing too OTT. Smartish I guess.
    Answer:

wear what you would wear to go out in...... its just like a bar, but with pvc seats and cheap drinks.
Just hope the bingo isn't on.!!!
    Answer:
I've been to do's at working mens clubs and I would just wear what I would normally go out into town or a bar in, trousers or a skirt and a smartish top and heels. It may not be as smart but as Lacegirl says, the drinks will be cheap!!

    Various questions
    Afternoon all
I have a few questions which I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with :)
Following my mega spree last week, I'm pretty much stocked up at the mo but there were a couple of things that I couldn't find, namely:
    * "gold" cocktail ring - quite art deco if poss
    * grey obi (is that what they're called?) leather belt, like the Elegantly Waisted ones which wrap around the waist a couple of times and do up in a knot
Also does anyone know what the sizing is like on the Primark leopard print pumps? - I've asked a friend to pick some up for me this weekend and wondered if they ran to size.
Finally ( :o ), does anyone have the navy blue and cream printed jersey dress from DP? I have it and love it, but don't know what to wear it with as navy seems quite hard to match!
    Thanks so much :thanks:
    Answer:
I'm also after a big gold cocktail ring and have not found one yet. I have tried Accessorize, MS, Next and Oasis. I want either plain gold or one that has like amber or brown topaz in it.
No idea about the grey obi belt but am pretty sure both Topshop and Miss Selfridge had some not long ago.
never been to pradamark (not a snob just none near me) so can't help with sizing...but don't recall anyone mentioning their sizing being askew
with navy and cream I'd wear contrasting colours. NOT red but maybe coral or peach or mushroom pink ? Camel or tan leathers would also look good.
    Answer:
I want either plain gold or one that has like amber or brown topaz in it.

    here here!
    Answer:
I don't know about leopard, but all my patent Primarni pumps run true to size.
Grey leather obi was last seen in either TS or Miss S, but not sure if stocked Right Now.
Am with elliecat on contrasting colours with navy and crema! sounds very yummy... even certain shades of green would go.
    Answer:
i'm planning on wearing tan or red with that dotty p's dress T.
and the ring - i've seen a BEEYOOTIFUL one by Calvin Klein, "I want either plain gold or one that has like amber or brown topaz in it" I'm sure it's of this type too - quite understated, but big at the same time iyswim.
it was in last month's Red i'll see if i can get a pic of it.

    NO.5. ask :
    Anybody own a Mulberry Bayswater?
    Hello!
I don't normally post here, but I'm trying to shrink my butt and get it into more stylish clothes :p
In the meantime, I start a new job in a couple of weeks and am keen to portray a polished, professional appearance. I am reluctant to invest in new clothes while the butt shrinking is (hopefully) going on, I see no reason not to spoil myself with a smart new workbag. After all, its not as if my hands will shrink too! ;)
I have been looking at the Mulberry Bayswater and I am loving the look, the leather and the price tag. I was just wondering if anyone who already has one could help me out with a few questions:
    1. Is the leather as soft as it looks and does it age well?
    2. Can you fit A4 files in it?
    3. How much do you generally find you put in it without it looking 'bulked out' IYKWIM?
    TIA :flower:
    Answer:
I don't have one but I'd LOVE one. The leather ages beautifully from what I have seen during my bayswater stalking.... A girl in work got one and she totally doesn't appreciate it. Like HELLO???!!!!
    Answer:
    Hi Amberandpespi!
The Bayswater is very roomy - I think you can fit a A4 folder in it but not fasten it? it is easier to carry than the Roxanne which is too big and bulky for me.. I look like I am trying to carry a box under my arm! :o
The bag 'expert' and general Mulberry guru is Serendipity - you could drop her a PM.
    Answer:
The Mulberry is actually very big but doesn't look it. It has a strap that goes around the inside top of the bag which you can adjust to make it bigger or smaller. When you have it at the biggest it will easily fit a ringbinder.
It is absolutely huge inside and the leather ages like a dream. The pale Darwins mark easily but that just adds to the charm. You could also get it in Congo but imo that is not as nearly nice as the Oak Darwin.
I have two mirror copies that I use a lot and it never looks really bulgy, even with shoes in it! As soon as I save up the £600 I need I will get a real one...
