Primark Littlewoods!

NO.1. Ask :
Primark Littlewoods!
Not sure if htis has been posted before, but has anyone else heard that littlewoods stores (not all) are changing to Primark?
I read it here:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/....html?t=115293
Answer:
I don't know about all of them, but the Littlewoods in Cheltenham has closed down and is rumoured to be a Primark when it's sorted.
Answer:
Yes, I was at the metrocentre today (big shopping centre where i live) the old Littlewoods is all boarded up with boards saying 'Primark opening soon'. I had a huge grin when I saw it as I like the metrocentre far more than going into town!:yay:
Answer:
I think it was splashed all over the news a few months ago. Most people are looking forward to primarks springing up everywhere now :D
Answer:
I think it's right, my local Littlewoods as been boarded up too.
  • Should I, or shouldn't I?; Where can I get...; Has anyone seen a cardi like this?; Does anyone have a Mulberry Roxanne?; How high are the heels you are wearing today?
  • What you wish you could wear?

    NO.2. ask :
What you wish you could wear?
What items/styles of clothing/outfits do you really wish you could carry off but they just don't suit you?
For me, it's skirts or cropped trousers and flat shoes. I'd love to wear little summer skirts with ballet pumps, but I have really chunky calves that need heels to slim them before I can even think about getting them out in public
I also like high halter necks but they make my shoulders look massive :(
    Anybody else?
    Answer:
Wrap dresses! I think they look fantastic on girls with boobs, but unfortunately I am not blessed with boobage
    Answer:
Yeah wrap dresses- basically anything you need curves for! :p
    Answer:
Yeah wrap dresses- basically anything you need curves for! :p
But I'm convinced it's my curves that make wrap dresses not suit me
    Answer:
Strappy vest tops and camisoles. Far too much boobage for these, I always look like a tart in them!
Also wish I had more confidence in showing off my upper arms, reason tells me that they are fine, but I still think that they are far too fat too be shown!

  • Think I've finally found the perfect white linen trousers...

    NO.3. ask :
Think I've finally found the perfect white linen trousers...
...for anyone who's thinking ahead to summer - have tried on endless pairs, but finally hit the jackpot today in Next - £17.99, really comfortable, flattering shape, right length (even for a short@rse like me)!, not too see through, and I even needed a size down!! - perfect!! However, can't seem to find them on the Next website for some reason, but thought I'd post in case anyone was after a pair. :)
    Answer:
Do these come in grey and brown too?
If so, I tried them on because they looked lovely, but the 6's were huuuge on me! They had sort of built in hip shapes, which just made them look like linen jogging bottoms on me.
The fabric was lovely and thick though, I bet they look lovely on if they're a good fit!
    Answer:
Yeah, I think they're the ones - can't believe the size 6's were huge on you!
I'm finally listening to my own advice - I won't buy anything until I know it fits right and looks good, and it's working - I don't know how many pairs of white linen trousers I've tried on! Same goes for the black city shorts I've just bought - thought I'd found a great pair from Next but thought they were a bit on the long side - so I started my hunt again, took about 5 pairs home to compare with each other, had my faves in mind, tried them on for hubby and he agreed! :yay:
Thanks for replying Bibbitybob - enjoy ya Sunday!
    Answer:
That's exactly the advice that I've been trying to follow!
Especially with Primark clothes. Because I'm a 6, some of their clothes come up a bit big on me (and some come up huge!) so I've stopped buying them just because they're a bargain, and actually looking elsewhere and spending a bit more on something that fits and that I'd actually wear!
ETA: Cheers hun, enjoy your Sunday too!

O/T I've found that a lot of the primark tops are very easy to adjust the sizing if you have basic (and mine are very basic :p) sewing skills?
Glad you've found some perfect fitting trousers Netti!

    NO.5. ask :
The power of the waisted belt
Can you tell I've been shopping? ;)
I finally bought a huge black waisted belt today and the effect is really good.
Will be teaming with a gel bra, to make me look curvy!
What do you all wear yours with?
    Answer:
Ooh I love my waist belts! I usually wear them over long-line vests and long-line fine-knit jumpers :)
    Answer:
I have a black one which I was going to wear over any black top pretty much, I wouldn't be able to wear it with anything other than black would I really?
I was thinking of getting the same style in white to wear over a long length lemon tee but I'm not sure
Mine's the hook and eye one for £20 on the site btw, which ones do you have? :)
OT but I went to office today to buy the red peep toes, but didn't like them irl- they were too much of a dull red, and the little bow at the front looked as though it was about to fall off!
    Answer:
I'd wear one with lots of things - wrap dresses, jumper dresses, long vests or tops...
As for colours: I've got a black one and wear it with grey, black and brown (all properly accessorised of course) as well as plain black. I also think black accessorises can look really cool with hot-coloured clothes - I love red/hot pink/emerald green/teal/turquoise long tops/dresses paired with black belts, shoes, tights etc. Trinny and Suse would have fits, but I like it!
    g_k
    Answer:
    I agree Geek_Kitten
IMHO, I think that if you have strong colouring then you can get away with it!
