Hair Style Ideas
ok girls, i'm making my first trip to the hairdressers in 2 years! i've been naughty and made attempts at cutting my own hair, i haven't bothered with it since September last year and its now very long and thick, i'm getting sick of it.
can anyone give me some ideas about a fashionable hair cut i could have, i still want it quite long but i need a style!!
Answer:
If you want to keep your length then really the best thing you can go for is a few choppy layers in your hair - just make sure you clarify lengths and styles with your sylist before the scissors come out.
Have you thought of having some colours put into your hair? That usually works well with a layered style and gives you a new and funky style without having half of your hair hacked off.
Answer:
mine is long dark and fairly straight. i have lots of layers although none shorter than shoulder length, and red put in.
your best bet is probably to look through some magazines and find styles you like, then take them along to the hairdressers with you.
Answer:
Why not just get the ends tidied up and leave it long? Long hair is beautiful when looked after properly and you don't need to go back to the hairdresser every five minutes to have the layers/fringe redone.
Mine is down to the middle of my back and I absolutely adore how gorgeous it is when it's just been cut and dried straight by the hairdresser: glossy and shiny and swingy. You don't often see women with simple long hair and I always look twice at women with hair like that. Though I am of course biased because my hair is my best feature and that's how I wear it :D

can anyone send me a link to a good hair style website where i can get some ideas?
REALLY confused about Lush Spy Sizing
NO.2. ask :
REALLY confused about Lush Spy Sizing
I'm trying to resist buying the large white spy on Lush but I'm sooo confused about the sizing :o
I've just been reading the recent thread 'Medium or Large Spy' and everyone was saying that different colours come in different sizes......ie some of the medium ones are bigger than the large etc.
I have the medium Turquoise spy from there, so I've just checked the measurements on the site for this one and it says the width is 19". But mine only measures 15" across at the bottom and probably 16-16.5" at the widest part.
It says the large white one is 18.5 in width - which I would be happy with - but I'd be gutted if it turned up and was the same size as my medium.
Also - I really want to be able to carry it on my shoulder.........does the large one fit comfortably on your shoulder?
ss
xx
Answer:
I have a large black one which measures 16.5 wide (as the medium). This fits on my shoulder with a thin jacket.
Answer:
I have a large rainbow which fits over my coat over my shoulder and a large brown which doesn't. The large rainbow is smaller than the large brown which is smaller than the large black.
Answer:
Sounds like a bit of a lottery!
Answer:
My large one doesn't fit over my shoulder..
Oscars fashion
NO.3. ask :
Oscars fashion
I can't believe I'm the first to start this thread, but perhaps the red carpet is so last season or something....
What do you make of the Oscars frocks this year?
I was particularly taken with Salma Hayek's caption, which originally read "gaeer", as if the here editorial staff had been so stunned by her turquoise beauty they'd just collapsed in a heap.
It now says "The Latin lady dazzles in a turqouise pleated silk gown by Versace that shows off her fabulous curves", which is probably a fair assessment.
Apart from Salma, there's a whole lot of frothy cream and ivory going on, making it all a bit dull and bridal. Or in Nicole Kidman's case Bride of Skeletor. Scary.
Answer:
I was just about to post the same thing :)
What is going on with Charlize Theron
Not loving Keira Knightley's dress either, though the colour is lovely.
Answer:
Charlize Theron's dress does look as if it's wearing her doesn't it?
Which is odd, given that she probably has one of the most "model-perfect" figures on the red carpet. In fact she used to be a model didn't she?
Answer:
i loved michelle williams dress, and also felicity huffmans, and reece's.
i liked keiras one, but that was mainly the cover, altho i am loath to admit i liked it cos she really annoys me lol
Answer:
I love the colour of Salma Hayek's gown. Not sure I approve of the way her buxom chest is hanging out the top though.
Jennifer Aniston and Rachel Weisz's gowns were boring. Why did so many people opt for plain black dresses?
WHAT IS CHARLIZE THERON'S DRESS ABOUT?! It made me laugh.
Can't find these shoes?!!!
