Ideas on this Marc Jacobs dress
Its my sister's wedding in June, i need to wear a dress that covers my shoulders for modest reasons. I want to wear something unique and sexy. What do people think of this Marc Jacobs dress with sweater combo?
    Answer:
I don't like bows or frills, so that dress is a nooo from me I'm afraid! Unique yes, sexy, nope
    Answer:
I think it looks very strange (not helped by the position she is stood in) and too casual for a wedding (the sweater part anyway)
    Answer:
I like it :) ...but isn't it a bit dark for a wedding hun?
    Answer:
    Think it's too 80's

Can anyone help me with jeans?
Ok i have had long and lean GAP jeans for the last year or so they have been great up until now. The 12 was becoming massive on me as i have lost a lot of weight . Anyway i was in a hurry last week and bought a size ten, i didn't have time to try them on i know stupid. I presumed beause the 12 was now massive to the point of them falling down all the time the 10 would be fine. I can get them on but they are now too tight around the thighs, never had this problem with long and leans. Anyhow the tale is such i don't live near a GAP store to take them back so i now have to find at least one pair of jeans by Saturday. I have the choice of Topshop, River Island, Dorothy Perkins or Principles. there is an Oasis, Miss Selfridge, Warehouse and French Connection within HOF in my local town as well.I am not sure whether they do Levi's in our HOF store.
I am petite, 5ft 1 and a bit, size 10-12 and they need to designed so that they don't hug my thighs, thats were they tend to be too tight.
I had a look at the Mooch jeans but i notice they don't have any stretch in the fabric are they loose enough anyway to get away without it?
Please help or i may be forced to wander around in my PJ's!! :p
    Answer:
Try HOF as they are sure to have a lot of different brands??
I don't live in the UK right now but I hear a lot of people saying positive things about Oasis and TS. FC will be expensive but their jeans are pretty nice, as far as I've heard.
Have you tried wearing the Gap ones when they are slightly damp to see if that helps them stretch?
    all the best - k
    Answer:
Oh I know how you feel, I 'needed' a decent pair of smart jeans for last weekend, went to tkmaxx (with my mum:rolleyes: ) tried on loads tat did't fit right, then ended up grabbing 3 pairs cos she's was bored of waiting for me, to try on at home, gott take them all back as none of them are any good, and I don't have the time to do it this week, have a party on Sat, hadn't thought of wearing my jim jams - good idea ;)
I would try HoF, as kelda33 said, there will be a lot of choice there.
    Answer:
HOF will have some good quality designer brands..........otherwise take a trip to London, its worth the investment (although its now an addiction when you realise how much there is out there  )

    Help finding a dress!
    Hello,
I'm looking for a dress that I can wear on holiday and in the summer for meals out and *possibly* to a friends wedding at the end of the summer . I would prefer it to go with one of 2 pairs of shoes I already have to save some money (posted below) but am not too fussed apart from that!
So far I have my eyes on the following:
this one from Toast to go with brown shoes...
and the Chantel (top left) and the black wrap dress (2nd line, 2nd left) from Plumo to go with the blue shoes...
and even possibly (not for the wedding though) this dress in green also from Toast also to go with the brown shoes.
What do you think? Or does anyone have any other suggestions to go with the shoes?
Keep in mind that I will need a size 16 and prefer to keep the tops of my arms covered! I'm also very pale so not sure about the yellow suiting me.
    Any help is appreciated!!!
Eta - Oh yeah! I've chosen these particular shoes as I can walk around in them forever without my feet hurting a jot! Very important for my holiday:)
And this is my style diary to give you an idea of my shape and size:)

1 Attachment(s) The green Toast dress looks very nice - but so hard to tell without seeing it on. Also, although both shoes are fab, I wonder if they're a wee bit heavy for the summer.
I've ordered this dress from Anusha for a couple of weddings I've got coming up. Might be a bit too pale for you (?), but I think it looks like it's going to be a very flattering shape.
    Answer:
    I like the green dress
