Wooden necklace.. a la Shipwrecked ?
hello stylish ladies of here :D
Off on holiday to Tenerife in a bit, and after a necklace... I have the style I'd love in mind, but can I find one in the shops? No, no I cannot :yaright:
I just want a really basic, wooden bead necklace, like they're all sporting on Shipwrecked at the moment (photo below.....) but everything in the shops seems to be coloured or silver, no plain beads!
Tried pretty much everywhere I can think of... please, has anybody seen anything like this ??
My last resort would be looking for one whilst out there I guess... it looks quite holiday-touristy, if you know what I mean :p

If you've tried all the usual suspects here (including Accesorize?) I would say try Ebay but you'll deffo get on out there. I was thinking the same thing on Sunday but preferred the Shark's neck attire rather than the Tigers! Looks nice with a bikini but you'll get an awful white mark round your neck:eek: :lol:

Yep tried many accessorize branches.. the plain ethnicy look doesn't seem to be about at the moment :confused: lots of glassy, coloured beads but none plain wooden!

Think so, it has something boney coloured on it. Just looked on Ebay for you and there's quite a few on there? African style chunky looking necklaces, might be the right sort of thing.

Well comparing it with the size of the wardrobe i'd say it's around 12 x 12 inches and more likely bigger.

I've just bought a jumper from Burton, and it's 50% Cotton, 50% Acrylic. I have a huge problem with jumpers stretching and losing their shape, particularly at the neck. I really would like this one to stay in shape, so I'm being very careful with it atm, but will it actually stretch easily, being cotton and acrylic?

I think 50% cotton 50% acrylic is a fairly safe mix. All my wool jumpers shrink and nylon based ones usually stretch out of shape :rolleyes:

I have one which is 60% cotton, 40% Modal (?), which has totally stretched to buggery. It's a pain, it's a nice jumper too - Marcus Law.

I doubt you'll have a problem with stretching but I always find acrylic will bobble quickly so I never buy anything with it in - so annoying!

Ive been outbid on ebay for some skinnies, good job i guess as ive never tried them on, i may hate them
Do they suite everyone though, i went out on the wkend, and my mate had a pair on, they were like 3/4 length ones, and she had a pair of them ballet shoes on, they looked real good and she suited them so well, were the same weight but she is about 5ft7-8 im 5ft 6 and she def looks skinner to me!!! Were both a size 10
I just worry that i wont suite them, there so tight to you and im not that happy with my figure, my legs, i just think they'll show off all my lumps and bumps

I'm not a size 10 but just wanted to say skinnies are like every other style of jeans (bootcut, wide leg etc) and you'll probably need to try on more than one pair to find some that do suit you as they're not all the same

It really depends on how you wear them - like all things they can look great no matter what size you are if you have the style and confidence to pull them off or horrible if you dont.
dont bid though - go into lots of different shops and try on loads till you find the ones for you.

I'm a size 12 sometimes 14 and suit skinnies but not with flat shoes. I wear mine tucked into boots or with heels
As has been said you need to go and try on some pairs to find one that suits you. Like all jeans some ones will look great and others horrible!
