Primark
Ok people- I've only been in Primark once or twice, and not bought much there, just glanced. But I want your opinions- I'm needing to cut down on fashion budget just now, and it is THE legendary cheap and chic shop! Some people seem to love it, can't get enough, and some say it looks cheap as well as costing little!
What's the verdict: great shop or are there other great cheap places? Is it highly fashionable or is it hard to find genuine great buys in it?

Answer:
It's great. You need to be very selective and willing to rummage, but I've found some seriously good bargains there, including a gorgeous short-sleeved dove-grey velvet jacket that's a near-indistinguishable copy of something sold in Monsoon for about ten times the price. It's very dependent on your local store though. It's very fashion-driven, but you can still sometimes find unusual things there. And the underwear is fabulous!
My utter favourite cheap and chic shops are charity shops though :D

Answer:
I love it! My best Primark bargains have been their indigo skinny jeans (just as nice as the Topshop ones, but £12 instead of £40!), stripy vest tops for £3 and a lovely long-line fine-knit jumper for £6. They are also really good for cheap tights and socks :D I'm on a mission for their £8 leopard print ballet pumps at the moment, but they only had size 3's last time I looked.
It is definitely hit-and-miss - sometimes I find nothing, sometimes I find loads! Their changing room mirrors and lights are the most unflattering things ever, and it can be a pain in the bum to push through the crowds and big queues. But if you're prepared to spend time and rummage through, then there's definitely fab bargains to be had!
Answer:
While I managed to find and buy a couple of things from there, I think most of it is cheap, badly made, synthetic, throwaway tat. Even basic things like socks. Sorry. Please don't flame me :o
Answer:
When I buy things from there I tend to end up returning it! The bargain 'high' I get wears off once I get my purchases home. I've only ever kept two items from there. One was a bag I used one to death on holiday and it fell apart afterwards and the other is a retro little bag that I love and is one of my favourites. I think it is hit and miss with Primark. I'm gutted that none of the vests fit me. They are either too loose or the straps are too long
OT: What does your bed wear?!

OT: What does your bed wear?!
Afternoon ladies!
Ok, I'm looking for some really nice/reasonably priced bedlinen... And need some inspiration! I'm thinking red/orangey/pink... something quite vibrant.
So.... What does your bed wear?
Answer:
The White Company and egyptian cotton from John Lewis. All white though.
Answer:
I have some lovely ikea sheets, ikea is great as they're 100% cotton but really cheap (far nicer than the pricey habitat ones i used to have)
I have this in blue:
http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/store...58*15824*15836
but there are loads on the site, they also did a lovely Cath Kidstin rip off one but i think that was last year.
You could alwyas try Cath Kidston if you were feeling fancy....;)
Answer:
Tee hee, my bed has exactly those colours on it at the moment! The sheets and pillows are hot pink and are from my Mum (Homebase, I think?) and the duvet cover is pink/orange/yellow blocks, from Ikea. It's a bit of a shock when you first see it, but it works!

True Religion jeans sizing
NO.3. ask :
True Religion jeans sizing
Thinking of purchasing a pair of the Bobby jeans :yay: Can anyone tell me if True Religion jeans run to size and if there are any differences between their stretch and non-stretch? I'm normally a size 26 in Diesels. I'm hoping I'll be able to get to London at some point to try them on but I might not be able to.
Also, I've not had any experience buying online from the US but would it work out cheaper even after the duty fees if I order from Shopbop for example?
Answer:
I don't know about the Bobbys as I'm a Joey shape myself but I think nowadays they run true to size to a little small.
Don't order from ShopBop, you'll get customs, VAT and the UPS handling fee slapped to top of their expensive delivery.
Order from Revolve if you can - they're great. Free postage and I've never had to pay any duty ever.
Answer:
I would say true to size too, both stretch and non-stretch but, again, I wear Joeys mostly. They are very low, mind.
Answer:
I got a pair of billy straight legs and they came up quite big but they've got stretch in them.

converse
NO.5. ask :
converse
hola
two things - a) where's the best (read cheapest :D) place to buy converse and b) can i get away with wearing them with skinny jeans? oh and i'll add a third :) c) any suggestions on colour (want them to last til end of year to wear potentially with skinnies and also with "normal" jeans/trousers)
gracias!
Answer:
I love black converse - they look great with any other colour and you can wear them with both skinny and normal jeans. I think you can get some pink and white ones too which are nice, however they will probably get dirty quickly and the colour may limit what you can wear with them.
I'm not sure about where the cheapest place to buy them is; perhaps try looking on ebay or in skater/surfer stores if you have any.

Answer:
Converse tend to be about £30 a pair wherever you look. Office do loads of colours and styles. If you can carry it off then skinnies and converse might look cool, but i imagine it's probably quite tricky to!
Answer:
you can definitely wear skinnies with Converse, as long as the rest of your 'look' tallies with them (eg indie/scenester wear). i would recommend getting black or white as pink/green/blue/patterned (though weirdly, yellow looks ok) tends to look quite fashiony rather than 'i-have-been-wearing-converse-forever-because-i-have-always-been-into-this-scene-and-i-care-about-music-thankyou', which is the look you're going for... right? and don't worry about them getting dirty, they look better that way.
Answer:
I got mine from Original Shoe.
I like blue ones best - any shade.
