O/T I have just paid off my Student loan in full!
Having deferred re-payments of my student loans to go travelling, then a couple of years later again when I went back to study a MSc full time ... I have been paying my student loans back for what feels like F.O.R.E.V.E.R.
I assumed there wouldn't be that much left on my account - so I just called up the student loans company to find out that I only had £191 left on my account, which I just cleared. :yay:
Means I will not be able to buy those shoes + jacket I had my eye on until next month - but WHO CARES?!
I have NO MORE freAkIn Student Loans left! :whoop:
Although I do have about 3-4K of graduate loan left with the bank from doing my MSc ... I still feel pretty good to be one loan down!
Answer:
Wow thats really great! Unfortunately due to the student fees increasing I think I am going to be paying off mine until I am about 50.
Answer:
Thank you!!! :)
I didn't finish Uni until I was 22 (or was it 23) because I had a year out then I changed courses after my first year ... I am now a couple of months away from being 35.
My first year loan - was the very first year top-up loans were introduced, and the biggest loan you could get (as I was based in London) was £450 odd  My the end of my 4th year at Uni, most loans were in excess of £1k, so I dread to think what they are now.
It's such relief. I feel so calm suddenly! :meditate:
Answer:
Well come September fees for most courses go up to £3000 a year and my course will be 3 years with the option of a sandwich year which you still have to pay about £800 from.
My maintance loan (for accomodation, food, clothes) will be about £2,500 a year and thats the lowest one you can get, can have more if your family earn less.
Am starting to get a bit scared and thinking maybe I just shouldn't bother now.
Answer:
i reckon by the time i graduate next year i'll owe about £12,000 in student loans. i know they can say u can pay it back at £15 a month or something stupid like that, but that will mean i'm in debt until i die! lol

do you like it?
Answer:
That one is not really my style to be honest. But I love Orca/Tabitha bags - they are fabby! I can recommend them wholeheartedly.

NO.3. ask :
Buy now wear later!!!
I don't know if any of you are the same, but i've got into a really bad habit of buying clothes that i know i won't wear for a good few months, but it doesn't stop me buying similar at the time i will wear them!
If you lot do this aswell, it will make me feel a whole lot better about stashing fashion!
Answer:
Yes I do that too.
I just bought a green polka dot wrap dress (short sleeved) for summer off ebay, it arrived today, and now I just need some nice warm weather so I can wear it!
I am planning my summer wardrobe a lot at the moment - yearning for some sun I think!
Answer:
I've just ordered quite a few summery tops that i just know i won't be able to wear til May-ish.
You aren't alone!
I even bought one item in January ready for summer:o
Answer:

Help me find a killer suit, ladies
NO.4. ask :
Help me find a killer suit, ladies
I need a new suit - nothing that smacks 'interview', but something that says: 'Shut-up, please, and listen'...
I'm 5ft 8in, size 8-10 on hips, 12 for tops. Strong colours suit me as I've got brown skin.
Any ideas? I work from home a lot but when I do go to meetings, I really need to look the dogs', if you see what I mean.
*Oh, and if you can recommend a killer bag, costing less than £200, let me know!*
Answer:
My very best black suit comes from TKMaxx and cost about thirty quid - it's been used successfully for interviews and presentations and has that exact 'shut up and listen!' quality that you're after!
Of course, I bought it years ago, so that's singularly unhelpful.
Failing that, I'd try somewhere like Hobbs (beautiful cuts) or Jigsaw. I saw a couple of fabulous suits in a magazine a little while ago - I can't remember the shops but I think they might have been French Connection and Reiss possibly?
g_k
Answer:
Do you have a budget at all?
Answer:
GK - I will check those shops out - thanks :)
Loony - budget is up to £350-ish, I think. Depends really. If it was the PERFECT suit, I'd pay more for it. I want sommat that'll last a while...
Answer:
skirt. trouser or not bothered?
I have to be suited and booted for work so my faves are 1. Maxmara/Sportmax for your more classic look, Chanel/Prada for completely indestructible, you can sleep in and still look bandbox fresh and Laundry Industrie for some seriously funky trouser suits
shoes from next
NO.5. ask :
shoes from next
whats the quality like for shoes from next? Its actually mens shoes that are being considered (for mr funkymoo) but I'd assume mens and womens are pretty much the same. I've only ever bought one pair of trousers from next which I've never worn so have no idea of the quality, can anybody help?
thanks :)
Answer:
My boyfriend seems to rate them - he has been wearing the same pair for 4 years and they are still going! Men!
Answer:
Bit o/t but I am so in love with a pair of (breathe) almond toe, patent aubregine 4" courts from there but they're leather.
Total bargain at just £24.99 though!
Answer:
The quality is good for both men's AND women's shoes.
If he's not desperate for a new pair right now, I'd wait for the mid-season half-price sale if I were you, which should be coming along in the next few weeks.
:D
