here lovers - thanks!
Hi
Just stumbled onto the discussion boards after months of looking at the here.com site and just wanted to say that I have found soul mates!
Searched for here threads and found loads of like minded people.
None of my friends can understand my obsession with bags and are quite often to be heard saying "another new bag?" and "isn't that like the other one you bought?" - (this was comparing my Lush Silverado lookalikey and Roxanne lookalikey both being a tan colour! - can you see what I'm working with here!!!)
My boyfriend particularly frowns on my obsession but I think he's given up on lecturing me now, and he's a boy so I sort of forgive him.
The most I've spent on one bag is £85 + pp (the Silverado) and tend to stick to ebay, so I don't think I'm too naughty.
But to finally read about others that have the same obsession I don't feel naughty anymore, it's very liberating.
So just wanted to thank you all and give you a virtual group hug.
Keep up the good work.

I am one of the bag obsessive ones but we are ruled by Serendipity. After *all* her purchases last year her new years resolution was to buy NO more bags, two weeks ago she'd already bought 12 and I think she's ordered many more since then, she is our queen
Just be sure you know that you will never have any savings again and be permanently in debt since finding us, better to know that from the beginning I think ;)
Answer:
Well it's lovely to finally meet all of you, I've read lots about you and I admire your work.
I can feel this is the beginning of an important relationship in my life and am taking a moment to comprehend the damage it will do to my bank balance and the stealth skills I am going to have to hone up on to keep my boyfriend in the dark about. Ah bliss!!:thanks:

The Karl Lagerfeld diet
NO.3. ask :
The Karl Lagerfeld diet
I was just reading about this in Elle and it's really struck a chord with me. I love that he holds losing weight for fashion as the most valid reason - I don't want to lose weight for my health or for men, I want to lose weight so I can crowbar my arse into a pair of TS mooches :D
And I also loved his sentiments that losing weight is like a game and we shouldn't feel pressured to lose X amount, we should just be happy to lose weight as it drops off.
That's what I've been doing recently, just eating a wee bit healthier and my jeans are getting baggier every day :yay: But because I'm not pressuring myself into losing X amount, and will still have, say, a brownie with my sandwich at lunch time if I feel like one, I haven't binged at all.
Just had to share :D
Answer:
sounds exactly what i do fp - i dont eat really badly anyway but if i know i've got an occasion coming up where i want to look in tip top form i'll eat better but never depriving myself.
all in the name of fashion!!
xx
Answer:
What has helped me maintain for nearly a year now is just not eating highly refined stuff. I don't eat chocolate or cake or anything like that, but i do let myself eat a buttered crumpet or pasta covered with olive oil and cheese.
its kind of like the lesser of two evils diet, i don't feel at all deprived, have lost the binge-guilt cycle and although im still eating too much to lose weight, i am not putting it on, and in my weird fecked up brain, that sits quite well with me :D
Answer:
That's the reason i want to loose weight! To look good in drapy things as opposed to looking like a sausage!
Answer:
I have to stop eating when I'm not hungry, I eat out of boredom especially sat at the computer....

opinions please.
NO.5. ask :
opinions please.
Hi.
I wanted to see what your opinions are of guys wearing heels. Not stilletto's etc, but chunky heel boots like the following.
http://www.next.co.uk/items/X37/shot...8-611-X37s.jpg
I recently got into wearing boots like this as I am a young guy who is quite small (5"6), slim build and I have size 5-6 feet (so I have real trouble finding shoes). So one day while out shopping with my girlfriend she asked if I would ever wear something like the above pics and at first I thought it was strange, but I tried them and liked the look.
I normally wear them with long bootcut or flared type jeans so the heel is not really visable.
So I just thought I'd ask for general opinions on this idea.
Answer:
You're a man right?
Personally I do not think men should wear high heels! It is quite wrong, and I can't imagine how it would look good. Leave them to us girls! Big thumbs down from me sorry!
Answer:
hang on...didn't you already ask this...
Answer:

think it's a pervert shorty man!
Answer:
Sorry but no! They would be a real turn off for me. My Boyfriend is only 5ft 5 but there would be real problems for us if he started wearing the heels.
I thnk they would only draw attention to your height and not in a good way.
