Havaianas
Hi all,
I'm just about to order a few new pairs of flipflops off igapost (even though my credit card hates me right now :nono: shhhhh). Going to go for the 'top model' in black and white and the traditional black and white for starters as mine are a bit wrecked. Want the jungle green ones but they don't have my size. Might as well get a few pairs as the postage is loads anyway... (ahem).
Just wondering if anyone has the 'joy model' (are they the same height all over, or just higher towards the heel) or the 'high look model'?
I'm a bit of a short arse and like the idea of a bit of height, but if they look crap I'll just stick to flat ones and get dressier wedges elsewhere.
ETA: Can anyone who's ordered off this site tell me approximately how long it took to deliver them? Going on hols in 4 weeks...
Answer:
I got some from there last year and I think they took about 10 days to come. Certainly it was quicker than I thought it would be.
But the postage has gone up quite a lot :( I am thinking of looking around for another vendor.
Anyone else any recs?
Answer:
Powder Rooms has Havaianas and there is a 30% discount code on the discount thread :)
Answer:
www.rubbersole.co.uk sell them, but at 13.98 with postage I think they're a lot more expensive than Igapost, aren't they! I've always thought Igapost was the cheapest.
Avvy- I personally don't like the 'high' models, I think the normal Top ones are a lot nicer - that might be just me though! I've got Tops in black, red and white - might buy a couple more for summer, quite fancy light blue and green :)

I dread summer with a passion. I have big feet and ugly toes. I think flip flops are the most uncomfortable things known to woman - more an instrument of torture for slicing your big toe off than a fashion must have. as for ballets - ugh, clown feet:sick:
come back winter boots and round toes I'm going to miss you sooo much:(
ETA:
I need fresh air on my tootsies!!!
ohhhh gaaaaaaaaawwwwwwd - I forgot about this - I hate cold toes, and theres nowt worse than splashing through a puddle in essentially bare feet - eeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww:faint:
Answer:
I love and live in ballets and flops!!
I hate closed shoes my feet feel as if they are being strangled and suffocated!!
I need fresh air on my tootsies!!!
Answer:
yes.
only joking!!!I love both of those personally, but I am sure you're not on your own!!!
Answer:
I don't mind them, you can get comfy flip flops (havaianas for one)
Do you like kitten heels? They're an alternative to ballet flats. and don't make your feet look mahoosive....
Answer:
No and I'm totally with you on flip flops, far too uncomfortable. Ballet shoes look like slippers to me.
what do you think of...

Answer:
If your jeans are baggy you probably won't see that much of the socks anyway I wouldn't have thought?

My thoughts too! Or even if you can see them, it sounds like the ballet pumps amd jeans are quite dark, so I think it would be okay. Even if it doesnt look right, I think it has to be function over fashion today - It's far too cold and rainy to wear ballet pumps without socks, you'll get cold! :D
Answer:
Good point, lol thanks for the reply, was starting the think "over 10 views- god they must think it really does look awful lol"

what would you love to and hate to recieve for christmas?
NO.5. ask :
what would you love to and hate to recieve for christmas?
Hullo!
i know it seems ungreatful moaning about what you dont want for christmas, but face it there are presents that we all wouldnt want!
also what is the best and worst present you have ever recieved?
sorry if it has already been done!
il start...
i love anything make up,perfume,cds dvds,good books
i hate those wee gifts like hot chocolate sets, those golf sets that people get a distant relative or work person when they dont really know them
my dad has been often told that he looks like Jim Royle,so my auntie who leads the way in pointless presents got hima royle family shower gel set..
mind you she has in the past gotten me a tin of plasters for my birthday,me my dad and sister a cuddly toy that is given free when you collects tokens from boots.
im not moaning about the cost, cos im skint myself, but its thought that counts
might seem schemie to some but id rather have 20 smokes or a bottle of my favourite wine.
im also not keen on candels and bubble bath.
im not sure what my favourite present was because im normally asked what i want so i like it anyway.
good i sound like a bitch
but there is a bitter reason for this...
i once got a camera of said auntie. It was one of those desposible polaroid mini ones, she had had it that long that it was covered in dust and i found out the spools were discontinued...

Answer:
I love anything really but the one thing i dont want is them crappy gift sets that people get because they cant find anything else.!
moan over- im so excited for x-mas!
Answer:
I hate getting things that are obviously meant for someone much younger, last year I got a fluffy teddy purse and a photo frame that wouldn't look out of place in a 5 year olds bedroom
I like getting things that people have put a bit of thought into
Answer:
i don't think it's ungrateful. tbh i'd rather not get a present than someone buying me somethin when you know the thought in their head is 'that'll do' and has nothing to do with your likes, dislikes etc.
If they can't be bothered to think of what i'd like, i'd rather they didn't bother.
Answer:
I'd love a Lush Spy bag (oh I soo hope O/H gets me one)
I'd also love some new perfumes and some money :D
I'd like a new ERA foundation (as I cry whenever I buy one for £45  )
Nothing I'd hate really, as I've never got any of those silly "BHS" gift presents in a box you are refering to anyway, but I guess I wouldn't want one of those.
