Bag experts - your recs please!
Afternoon all
Yet again I'm on the look out for ideas. I *need* a new summer/spring bag and don't know what to go for. I'd like something quite structured, in cream or ivory leather, large enough to use everyday and preferably handheld.
At the moment the contenders are:
* HKBL Boogie in cream (If anyone's got a picture of a HKBL one I'd love to see it!)
* I quite like some of the larger Jimmy Choo totes
* YSL Muse in ivory
* this from Lush but I'm not sure what it's a copy of
* this gorgeous specimen from Prada which is out of my price range really
Does anyone else have any ideas of possibles that might suit? Or have any opinions on these?
Thanks chicks! ;)
Answer:
I was going to say (apart form the Prada) all the ones you've suggested!
I think the Lush is a Chloe?
If you want handheld I imagine a HKBL boogie in cream would be divine, PC's yellow one is lovely :throb:

TBH that's what I'm thinking B - it's also going to work out waaaaay the cheapest! I think I'll PM PC and ask if she can send me the pics of her yellow one - I can remember it being stunning.
Answer:
I *think* I prefer the Lush one- although the pic is a bit small..
The Prada is nice enough, but a bit plain grown up- for that price IMO..
Answer:
She posted it very recently Toosh, I'll see if I can find it...

OK, I can't get out of my room, and i was incredibly bored - I also frequently forget what clothes I have.
So I have taken and printed out photos of all my clothes and categorised them, including accessories, shoes and jewellery.
Now I can plan my outifts for any occassion in advance.
How sad am i!?! I actually feel quite embarassed, but thought I'd share so you can all have a damned good laugh at me anyway!:o :o :o :o :o

Sold pair of socks on Ebay and threatened with Injunction!

Sold pair of socks on Ebay and threatened with Injunction!
I've posted this in legal but it seems a bit dead in there....Sorry it's another Ebay problem but here we go!
My OH got a pair of designer brand name socks for Xmas which he didn't like and so sold them on Ebay for a couple of quid recently.
A couple of days ago we got a recorded delivery letter from this certain brand name threatening him with injunction proceedings if he did not stop selling their brand name on his "website". They wanted written undertakings within 7 days and the names of the supplier or they would take injunctive action and ask for a costs order to be made against him!. At first we thought it was a wind-up but it really isn't!
Has anybody else had anything like this. As I understood it you could sell anything on Ebay.
It's a pair of socks for goodness sake!!
Answer:
Can you refer it to Ebay, apparently you can speak live to someone on the US site who could help,or post this problem on Ebays forum-they know what they're doing on there.
I have heard of similar things happening before, but I cant really see how they can stop someone selling an unwanted personal gift!!
sorry I dont know anymore, try Ebay s forum for a really quick response.
Answer:
Whilst I appreciate that brands want to stamp out selling of fakes on eBay (some hope) this sort of thing really pisses me off. You get page after page of listings from commercial fake sellers but they seem to pick on the private sellers as soft targets. I've had a bag delisted for just the same reason but when I search for a similar item I waded through about 10 pages more than 90% of which where multiple listing of clearly identifiable fakes. Obviously eBay took absolutely no notice when I pointed this out
Answer:
Could you not just speak to said brand name and tell them the situation and see what they say? Am I being very naive?
Answer:
Exactly! I wouldn't mind but he wasn't selling a job lot or anything, it was a bloody pair of socks. As far as I am aware you are allowed to sell anything branded on Ebay as if you couldn't then nobody would be able to sell anything! I think the person who bought them off him obviously worked for this "label" as I checked out her feedback and she has bought a load of socks and other items of the same label...unless of course she has a sock fetish
It's just a bit shocking that you get a threatening letter. It would be interesting to see if they take out an injunction, as I would love a day in court...:p

What's your opinion on this dress - Moschino dress £273 - I'm 5'6" size 12. It's for a wedding in May which will be pretty glam.
I think the bows on the shoulder might be a bit much. What do you think?
I'm also considering this dress from Debenhams
It's also on the debenhams home page - but any ideas how to accessorise??
Answer:
I like the second one better, and you could add perls to glam it up.
Answer:
I like the second one. It looks more glam and you can dress it with some colourful jewellery. What shoes are you planning on wearing with it?
Answer:
Definitely the second one, and as it’s a spring summer wedding and the red / black / white thing is getting a bit ‘done’ now (well round here it is) how about big chunky beaded necklace and bracelet in bright colours or citrus colours (see below), jewellery lemon and lime actually make my mouth water at the moment I want to eat it.
