denim jackets - yay or nay?

NO.1. Ask :
denim jackets - yay or nay?
having a clear out and just wondering really - it seems a bit 80s to have one these days.
cheers
xxxx
Answer:
Nah I don't think it's too 80's - as long as it's a well fitting one, and not too bleach-washed or baggy, and as long as you don't EVER wear it with another denim item! I wear mine occasionally (although not as much as I used to), just with combats for a casual look :)
Answer:
I only wear mine with summer knee length skirts or my combats. Last time I wore one was in September now I think, I'll dig mine out again when it gets warmer.
I have 3 - all fitted but in different shades of blue.
Answer:
mines well fitted but only wear with skirts/dresses in summer and combats for a more casual look as glitter junkie says i too would not wear with other denim
Answer:
I've still got mine that I got from Next a couple of years ago - mainly wear it with combats, linen trousers and sometimes a wrap dress to dress the dress down a bit - but as GlitterJunkie says, I wouldn't wear it with any other denim item!

    slouchy/wide legged trousers
I keep reading in magazines that masculine tailored trousers (Annie Hall kind of look) is going to be fashionable but they never seem to say where you can get them from. Does any one know where to get a good pair? I was looking forward to this fashion as I find it really difficult to get trousers being a classic pear shape - size 14 below, size 10/12 top.
    Answer:
I got some lovely navy and white stripy ones from Topshop last week, they have quite a few in there and in Dorothy perkins also.
    Answer:
great plains do some fab trousers- always look smart and fit nicley round the bum!

    Answer:

    Answer:
I got a gorgeous pair of grey wide legged trousers from Gap - £45 but they fit perfectly and are really flattering :)

    NO.4. ask :
Anyone know what this bag is?
I spotted a lady on the tube infront of me yesterday with this *gorgeous* mulberry bag, and now I really want one!
It was such a lovely colour, a really pretty kind of apple green.
I'm a poor student, so a real one is definately out of the question, but does anyone know if HKBL does anything like this?
I'd like a bigger one, that'll fit over my shoulder and more in it, but this kind of style.
Just kind of wondering if anyone has had a similar one made?
Sorry for the awful quality of the pic, the blimmin tube wouldn't stop shaking!
    Answer:
    can't see the pic!
    Answer:
    Nor me....
    Answer:
    me neither!
    Answer:
nor me, but I admire your style of taking a photo of someone's bag on the tube! (if that's what the photo is of...)

    NO.5. ask :
    Good ugg-alikes?
Have decided that I quite fancy a pair of chocolate brown uggs, but I can't afford the price tag.
Can anyone recommend a decent lookalike, with a much lower price please?
    Thanks!
    Answer:
If you read the 'Ugg Boots' thread, Inca has just bought some chocolate brown Ugg-a-likes from Great Universal. She didn't mention how much they were but I've just had a quick look on the website they are £10. Here they are.
    Hope this helps. :)

    Answer:
Hiya, yeah, thanks I had read that. It was what reminded me to ask, infact. I'm not keen on the white seams on those - they make them look a bit cheap imo (sorry inca!) and I'd prefer mid calf length too.
    Thanks though! Anyone else?
    Answer:
I heard MS has some that look similar, but I haven't seen them myself. I couldn't find any on the website, but it's mostly their new spring line, so there may be some on sale in the stores.
Another option is a place called hush (www.hush-uk.com), but they're still over £100.
I generally see a few in TK Maxx in Hammersmith, London, but not the dark brown, sorry! It may be worth a look if there's one near you, though.
    Answer:
1 Attachment(s) These are only £60 in the sale on uggstore.com.au
Are they real uggs though? I thought they were much more expensive than this??
