When does Primark Nottingham open?

NO.1. Ask :
When does Primark Nottingham open?
Anyone???
Answer:
I don't know, I emailed Primark to ask them but they were most unhelpful and just pointed me in the direction of the new store bit on their website which doesn't tell you anything.
I had heard the end of March but then I heard the end of June so basically I have no idea!
Answer:
I need to now 'cos I might take half a day off to go shopping :p Need to sort out my honeymoon wardrobe and going away outift. That's my excuse anyway, I have only ever been to a Penneys in Cork but never a Primark in the UK.

    EATING
I am happy to report that Bouley (where I took my boyfriend for his birthday dinner) was amazing! It definitely deserves the two Michelin stars it currently has. Thank you to prose for sterling recommendations!!!
Brunch in the Carnegie Deli was also fab, as was dinner at the Tribeca Grill.
    SIGHTSEEING
Empire State Building on a Sunday morning - definitely worth a trip up to the 102nd floor.
Central Park with snow on the ground was magical
Grand Central Station - small but perfectly formed!
Ground Zero - worth the walk and very moving
Guggenheim Museum was amazing despite the exterior being covered in scaffolding!
Unfortunately I was rather ill on my last day which had been designated shopping day, and had to spend it laying in bed in our hotel room. How gutted was I? Still, I seem to have got quite a bit of shopping done already despite this...!
Thanks to everyone who made suggestions and I hope this helps the other lucky baggers who are off to NYC soon.
    :)
    Answer:
Thanks so much for the mini-report!
We're off there next Wednesday, and I think today it has finally hit me that we are actually going (and realised how unprepared we are :o ).
Glad you had a fabby time :)
    Answer:
Oooh have a lovely time! Check the weather because although it was clear and fine, it was very cold and the wind whistles up the avenues and practically takes the skin off your face!!! A very good moisturiser is an essential.
Don't forget to give us your report on returning.
    ;)
    Answer:
Lucky you - sounds like you had a fab time! :)
    Answer:
Sounds like you had a fab time dispite getting ill! I really hope I can get to NY for the first time this year:fingers:

    NO.3. ask :
    Binkinis?
Just another ? while im here and you all seem to know ur stuff, I want a binkini for hols but cant seem to find a decent one (or one that doesnt make me look flat chested!) I don't want a padded binkini I hate them but dont want to look like im ten year old girl if u know what i mean...any ideas on styles? x
    Answer:
Next do a pretty good range of bikinis, and I've also spotted a few nice ones in New Look at the moment - there's a turquoise and brown one with a pink flower or something on it, and there's 2 different styles of top and bottom - I think the triangle shape top is slightly padded, but not too much. Padding is probably the way to go if you need a bit more oomph.
    Answer:
Well I got a lovely bikini from topshop and let's put it this way... I look far more bestowed than I actually am  It's one of the ones that you can slide along the string, IYSWIM
    Good luck on your quest
    Answer:
Take a look at the Gap website - they're currently doing a bikinis to suit your shape feature.
    Answer:
I had nightmeres looking for bikinis last year. I looked everywhere and found a lot of them had weird padding in the tops, but not normal padding-triangular padding which made my boobs look very odd!
The best place I found was one of the last places I looked-New Look. They had a great selection and you could take any padding out if you didn't want it. They also had underwired ones. The bottoms were seperate from the tops so you could mix and match. Usually I've found buying bikinis seperately costs more, but they didn't. I went in for 2 bikinis and came out with 4:yay:
Good luck with bikini shopping though, I found trying them on in the harsh fitting room lights soul destroying, but maybe that's just me

    NO.4. ask :
    Sienna's uggs
Okay, this is a totally big step for me. I HATE SIENNA MILLER, and I HATE UGG BOOTS. or thats what i say?? i think im a bit jealous of sienna, hence the hatred. but also because i love kate so so so so so much. i just think that sienna is a bit safe..?
as for uggs, well everybody wears them dont they? and the reason i hate them is because people wear ones that are SO needing to be chucked. like they walk badly so they end up not walking on the sole bit but on the side, you know what i mean? and i like to be well turned out. but iv kinda been buying outfits recently that i cant help thinking, black uggs would look cuter than ballet pumps. sooo... dilema? because everyone knows i hate them, so if i start wearing them ill be a totaly hypocrit. ... so.. iv kind of fallen in love with sienna's crochet ones. you seen? BUT.. iv googled far and wide, and can NOT find any!!!.. some help? has anyone seen any? anywhere?

  • Do you get changed on the plane?

    NO.5. ask :
Do you get changed on the plane?
I was just wondering if people took comfortable clothes to get changed into whilst on a long flight?
The reason being that I was thinking about taking a pair of comfy jersey bottoms to change into whilst I was on the plane that whilst they are respectable enough I would not wear out usually!
Does anyone do this, or am I best just wearing some comfy cords or something?
    Answer:
    changing
how long is the flight.... its really tricky to change in an airplane toilet on charter.... I normally change undies.. and wear black to travel in... I wear slip on shoes... and wear those flight socks under trousers.. dont put them on until I am waiting to board though!
    Answer:
wouldn't fancy changing on a plane. Especially if they are the mixed toilets, imagine all the kinds of stuff on the floor.
Its hard enough going to the loo on a plane never mind getting changed.
    Answer:
If it's a long flight (over 5 hours) then I will take a change of underwear, but other than that I don't usually bother changing clothes. My rule is wear no make-up, dress in comfy clothes you can sleep in, take a good travel bag filled with face cleansing wipes, hand wipes, evian spray, superflight cream, clean knickers, deodorant, mouthwash and a silk blanket which folds down small but is really warm and nicer/cleaner than the blankets they give you. I've done quite a lot of long haul flying (15 hours and more!) and I've got it down to a fine art now!
    Hope that helps.
    :)
    Answer:
Nope, can't be bothered. Only exception is (was, I don't do much of this these days) when travelling first class and they give you comfy jersey bottoms and tops to change into.
