Doh! Topshop Cropped Mooch Jeans arrived today...
... and I've only gone and ordered a size 10 and a 14 - should have been size 12 and 14!
14s are a little on the loose side - 10s (don't know why I bothered to even try these on!) wouldn't go past the top of my thighs, so hopefully 12s will be about right.
Am going to pay the store a visit tomorrow to take these back and whilst I'm there, check out the size 12s. Or should I just dump them in my shopping basket on line...?
Am annoyed with myself for not double checking my order before proceeding to checkout.
I like 'em though, and they go fab with my new red pumps! :)
Answer:
Oh thats so annoying! I did that with a belt on Dotty P's once, ordered a Large instead of a Small, then wondered why it was miles too big :o It was a sale one too, so they didnt even have any instore to swap!
Hope you manage to exchange for the right size :)
Answer:
Thanks GlitterJunkie! Fingers crossed!
Answer:
I'd be tempted to order them off the site as it won't cost any extra with the free pp code.
I got mine and love them! The only problem is the button is hard to get in the hole so i'm tempted to order another pair and see if it's looser:rolleyes:
Mine are a snug fit but don't look tight, hope they stretch a teeny weeny bit.
Answer:
I know you're a good deal taller than me CIC  but how far do they go down on the leg, above knee or below?

    What to wear?
I've got a date with a guy I met on a dating website but I'm clueless what to wear. He wants to meet in the afternoon and its my first date in nearly five years since I split with my ex so I'm stuck what to wear. I don't want to go too OTT but I still want to look nice. Any suggestions? :)
    Answer:
    Where are you going?
What is your build/skin tone/hair colour etc?
    Answer:
You can't go wrong with a well fitted pair of jeans, simple yet effective ;)
    Answer:
    Hi
We're just going for a drink. It seems a bit odd to go on a first date in the afternoon but it was what he suggested so I just went along with it.
I'm about 5'1" slightly overweight with blonde hair.
What sort of thing do you think I should wear on my top with the jeans?
    Answer:
What's your usual style? The most important thing on a date is to feel comfy in yourself, after all :)
For that reason, it's a bit difficult to make suggestions - if it were me, I'd probably go with a mini-dress over jeans with some cute shoes and a velvet blazer or summat, but loads of other things would work fine too.
I don't think you could go wrong with a well-fitting tee shirt (plus a cardie as well if it's cold) or a snug v-necked jumper, teamed with some understated but gorgeous jewellery, pointy boots and a nice jacket.

I ordered these shoes a couple of days ago in a size 6.

Apparently they're 'new in!' but I got an email today saying they were out of stock and wouldnt be getting any more in, so they were cancelling my order.
I'd like to try them on at least - but I dont fancy a wild goose chase around all the DPs in London. Has anyone, by any chance, spotted some of them instore anywhere in London? :/
    Answer:
will join you in this rant - there's two things that i NEED :o from DP and only got round to ordering this morning only to find that they're both out of stock..on further investigation it seems that everything is out of stock! maybe they can't keep up with their 20% offer but i really really hope they restock soon!
    Answer:
I'd check back today when the site is updated girls (it's usually around 4pm ish i think)
They always say it's unlikely they will get stock back in but i think that is their standard answer. Those shoes only came on the site last week so i reckon it's unlikely they won't be back.
They said the same about the topshop otk boots but they came back repeatedly.
    Answer:
good tip CiC will try later, fingers crossed!
    Answer:
grrrr, i hate that! i ordered 2 of those metallic slouch bags,, which never turned up, along with a leather jacket in the sale. i got an email 2 weeks later saying they were out of stock!!
i mean, why take orders if they have run out???

    interview outfit
Over my Easter hols I'm going to have a traipse around temping agencies (Adecco and the like) with a view to getting summer work. So at some point in the next few weeks, I also need to get myself a presentable interview outfit.
For the moment I'd rather spend my money on separates that I really like than a so-so suit that I can afford. I'm leaving my investment suit-buying until the summer as I move into my final year at uni.
I had planned to buy charcoal, wide leg trousers, a white shirt and possibly a black blazer of some description. However, I've just come across these bottle green trousers. Although I can't afford this particular pair, I just love the colour.
So, my question is ... do you think I could get away with a smart, well-cut pair of trousers in a deep, gorgeous colour, or should I stick to 'safe' grey or brown?
    Answer:
TBH, even thought you might like coloured ones more grey or black will give a better impression in an interview. I think the trousers, white shirt and blazer would all be a good investment, as they can all be paired with different things and together create a sharp, professional look. :)
    Answer:
I wouldn't necessarily stick to boring traditional colours, but I don't particularly like those trousers, sorry :(
    Answer:
i think coloured trousers will make you look clown-ish , no matter how nice they are in an interview situation, sorry!
    Answer:
I would stick to traditional whilst looking for a job; you can always put your personality into your clothes once you have a job.
I don’t what kind of jobs you are looking for the summer, but agencies try to get you in a position straight away, if its just temping (office experience) you are after then I would say leave it until a month (or less) before you want to start work or the chances are they will have forgotten about you by then.

    Bag
    Hey Everyone
I've been looking for a bag for college, tht should be big enough to fit a leaver (Sp?) arch file in it, but i also want it to look good. Has anyone seen anthing like this?
    Thanks
    Sarah:)
    Answer:
You haven't said what your budget is but if you do a search of recent posts there are plenty of suggestions as loads of us need bags that fit folders and files. Give us a budget and we can see if we can help you further. An open top tote would be your best bet and there are loads in H and M at the moment.
ps. it's lever, in case you ever need the word again!
    Answer:
Thanks I was trying to decide between the two spellings..My budget is about £40 and I'll try searching.
    Thanks
