How do you pay the customs charges on items from US ebay?

I've just ordered a dressfrom US ebay, and I just wondered what happens regarding customs charges.

Answer:
If it's over £18, instead of delivering it the post office will put a thing through the letterbox saying you must go to the sorting office and pay the customs charges before they'll release the package. If your seller's nice though they'll put a low value on the package so the PO here will think it's not elligible for customs charges :)

Yeh, I like this. I think white skinnies would look good with it bein a brown top. Im not sure about shorts cos of the length of the top, but it depends what it looks like on. lots of bangles and beads to finish it off would look lovely. Which catalogue are you looking at?

Debenhams usually tend to stock quite a good range of prom dresses at reasonable prices, i don't know norwich but in southampton we have a shop called tiffany's that sell ball gowns.

just had a lok on debenhams and they seem to have loads of different styles and they sell dresses as small as a 6!

it will sound a bit strange but BHS do bridesmaids dresses, but they're not the traditional kind. they do them in deep reds and are really nice (very grown up, simple and strapless etc.) they almost always have size 6s.
it is well worth asking the staff for any they have in stock out the back, because they will have a few extra collections in stock :)
(when i worked there we had loads of size 6s from previous collections because there was no call for them)
