Must have items for Summer ??

NO.1. Ask :
Must have items for Summer ??
At the moment I'm hoping to get:-
A white French lace Kaftan style tunic/top
Gladiator sandles
Huge Sunglasses (although don't know who by yet)
Super large white slung leather bag
Can't bring myself to buy a waistclinching belt as I feel in a few weeks we'll be saying how common they are - just like ponchos, gypsey skirts, etc last year !!
;)
Answer:
for me, I think I'm going to be wearing lots of summer dresses and flipflops - nice and easy!
I also want a large leather bag, perhaps the lush spy? for all my cr*p, but which is a bit smarter than my current studenty bags
I already have some huge aviator sunnies, but I'll prob get a few more pairs as I'm always leaving them around somewhere or scratching
also want a poppy red shawl to chuck over the above mentioned summer dressed ;) on chilly evenings!!
if I find one that suits me, I'll be buying a tan leather waist clincher as well, don't care if it'll be 'over' - I love this look!
Answer:

Answer:
Dresses - in all shapes
Ribbon to use as a belt (can't get brave enough to get a cincher belt, but ribbon I think would be a nice subtle + girly way of buying into the trend)
Wedges - bright ones!
Flats
Sunnies - my head is too small for big ones, so I'll be out of fashion but I couldn't care less!
Floaty a line skirts
ETA: Lots and lots of COLOUR! :)
Answer:
I think this is going to be the summer of lovely skirts and dresses for me, as I live in jeans throughout the winter :) I've just ordered this skirt to wear with a plain vest, flipflops and huge sunglasses
And this dress
I already have hundreds of vest tops, 3 waist belts, loads of flip-flops, a large white leather bag and 12 pairs of sunglasses - so I think I'm pretty much sorted now :) Although no doubt I'll end up finding more stuff to buy!

    NO.2. ask :
    shawls
I keep on reading outfits which are topped off with shawls, which I really like the sound of, especially as an alternative to a pashmina or plain scarf, yet I've never seen any in the (highstreet) shops.
Can anyone tell me where I can have a look for one? I have a vision of one in a poppy red for some reason
    thanks!
    x ohara
    Answer:
John lewis always have a good selection of shawls but cant think of any high street shops that i've seen them in.
    xx
    Answer:
    Brora do them.
    Answer:
just had a look on Brora - looks perfect, but out of my price limit unfortuently :( might try and angle one as an 'end of a exam' pressie though ;), but will check out JOhn Lewis too to see if they have a slightly more affordable one
    thanks!
    Answer:
Brora or your Grannys! ;) (I have an orange very thick lovely one given by grandmother!)
They are quite a good alternative to pashminas but more of a casual look than pashminas imho.
However, they look great with jeans and denim minis and much funkier than pashminas... (love both though!)
(have a few from mango, hm and zara...so maybe worth a try if you want a cheaper alternative to Brora).

    Help me decide!
I know they are both fairly plain but in my plight to be sensible i need to pick just ONE!
    Green top

    or
    Bow top

Or if anyone has seen them in real life and they are rubbish/nice please tell me:lol:
    Answer:
Would it be cheating to suggest you order both and see which is the nicest on? ;)
    Answer:
Oooh, they are both nice! I like Shiny's idea :) But if you *have* to pick only one, I love the green, lovely colour!
    Answer:
yes that would be cheating cos she will end up keeping both!!!:)
i like them both but i *think* i like the first one best. i like the slightly puffy sleeves.

    Answer:
The only thing I would be worried about the first one (which ordinarily I would prefer as I don't like short sleeved knits, is that the panelling on the front might emphasise any lady-paunch you have - not saying you have one but if that worries you (I get a tummy if I eat anything:rolleyes: ) then I think the first top would emphasise it out of proportion.
