Rather embarrassing request

Rather embarrassing request
Now I don't want you to laugh but I've never been clubbing :o
This is mostly due to where I live having nothing to speak of in the way of clubs and the nearest city being Cambridge so not a whole lot of choice there anyway, as well as it being impossible to get back after 11pm.
But anyway, I am going clubbing for the first time on Monday and I haven't got a clue what to wear. We're going to a student friendly alternative indie type night so I guess not too smart but I still want to look nice.
Please make some suggestions and I'll see if I can put it together out of my current clothes.
...Please? :(
Answer:
If it's student friendly then it'll most likely be pretty casual anyway, just jeans and a cute top, possibly a bit sparkly and flat or heeled shoes depending on how you feel. My experience of these places says you cn dress as casual or as smart as you want, so i'd play safe and go for middle ground :)

I would go for jeans and a nice top, trendy shoes or boots, unless there is a no denim rule, in which case coloured jeans.
Make sure you feel confident in what you are wearing and you'll have a great nite.:yay:
Answer:
Cambridge on a Monday night isn't the dressiest of places, so something fairly casual would be good. I'd probably wear a pair of jeans, funky shoes, and a strappy top of some kind. But i'm getting old... i'm getting more concerned about comfort on my nights out now!! :o
Answer:
If it's a studenty, indie place then I agree with the others, jeans, nice top/funky tee and whichever shoes you're happy to wear, be it heels or converse, should do you fine. Or how about a denim mini, again with a nice top, and pumps?
I'd never been to a club before I was at uni. Have a fab night ;)

    Hello and Help!
    Hello,
This is my first venture into fashion, I desperatley need some help. I am going to my sister in laws wedding on Saturday and I still haven't found an outfit! I was going to wear my graduation suit but it doesn't fit me (oops!). Anyway, I HATE shopping and don't have much dosh at the moment, can any of you help with some ideas?
So obviously it needs to be something suitable for a wedding and that won't be too pricey. I am about 5'9" and about a size 14, with a large bust and a tummy I like to hide. I am hopeless otherwise, I really have no idea what suits me and as I haven't been shopping in about a year no idea what is out there!
    Any ideas?

   How?!! Only joking, hello and welcome to fashion BB!
You sound like you have the perfect shape for a wrap-dress, maybe with a little cami-vest top underneath. It would make the most of your best features (the boobs!) but the vest top would stop it being too revealing for a wedding, and the wrap-style would hide your tummy! Just below knee-length, with some heels (they can be small kitten-heels if you don't like high heels) and a lovely here.
I will go away and have a look for something :)
    Answer:
Thank you! You are a star. I do the weekly supermarket trip and that's about all the torture I can handle! My partner occasionally suggests he'd like to see me in something other than by motorcycle leathers or his blue thermals that I've been wearing underneath all winter. Apparently they are not very sexy!
    Answer:
    Hello
GJ's suggestion sounds great and there are some great wrap dresses around at the moment.
How about trousers and a pretty top? Coast have some gorgeous white trousers and strapless tops that would look nice with a cardigan or jacket and heels.
Dorothy Perkins have some lovely things in too, and if you do a search you should find the link for 20% discount online :)
    How about:

    PMSL
Online shopping is the way to go if that's how you feel.
I love sitting down with a nice glass of wine, choosing outfits without pressure from sales assistants or being kicked by other people's screaming kids (seriously, I was kicked by a seven year old in Primark on Saturday. I had to grit my teeth and breathe very deeply :meditate: ) and then when it arrives you can try things on in the privacy of your own bedroom without unflattering fluorescent lighting. Bliss :)

    kinda o/t question for londoners
Can anyone familiar with London tell me which tube stop is best for New Look on Oxford St? I need to go there tomorrow, but an internet search of the tube stations give 4 options: Marble Arch, Bond St, Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Rd. Which is closest?
    Thanks :)
    Answer:
Hmm, I don't know, because I usually take the bus or go to the one in Brent X, but i'd presume it would be the oxford circus one. Maybe caramel x knows, she's a londoner too, I think
    Answer:
oxford circus tube station is the nearest one to the new look opposite topshop...happy shopping!
    Answer:
Yer Oxford circus is the nearest, you come out with TS in front of you and need to trun right and it's further up on the opposite side to TS.
    Have fun!

    O/T: limo hire
    How much is this (approximately)?
Wondered if someone here could tell me, to spare me filling in the online forms/ringing round for quotations...
Would be looking at a date a couple of days before Xmas, in the early evening.
    Thanks girls!
    :)
    Answer:
I don't know if they'l charge more what with it being the festive period and all and it would depend on how long you are looking to hire it for but i would definitely say between £75- 100 per hour.

    Answer:
I think you would be better getting yellow pages and phoning around.
You might struggle with wanting it so close to xmas and leaving it late to book :(
    Answer:
Thanks for your replies girls. I know I've left it quite late! To be honest I think there's something a little bit tacky about hiring a limo for an evening out :o, but someone else in the group who's had a very hard time recently would really enjoy it, so hopefully I can sort something out.

    Answer:
We had one for our prom in 2001 and it cost £80 to drive us 3 miles down the road! But I think they charged us for a whole hour even though we only had it a few minutes so definitely get your moneys worth .;)
