Answer:
ARRRGHHH that teddy is HIDEOUS!!!!
Answer:
Looking through the tops and Jackets, there is really nothing special! The tops comprise mostly of T shirt which look a bit cheap and just have some gold logo on them! And the jackets are thing you could find on the highstreet too. Not impressed at all!
OT/ All Stars Bowling, Bloomsbury - recs?
NO.2. ask :
OT/ All Stars Bowling, Bloomsbury - recs?
Hello all,
I noticed that a couple of you have been to the All Star Lanes, and wondered what you thought of it? I am considering having my birthday party there (not booking a private lane though because that's rather pricey). Were the food/music/cocktails/atmosphere good? I've read mixed reviews, especially about the food.
I wanted somewhere with a 1950s kitsch but cute vibe (ahem to match my dress ahem) - so if that rings any bells regarding other bars in London, please let me know!
Thanks girls!
Answer:
Hello Naz
I've been to botht the All Star lanes http://www.allstarlanes.co.uk/
and to the Bloomsbury bowling http://www.bloomsburybowling.com/
All star lanes is beautiful does wonderful cockatils and is like a bowling equivalent of Agent Provocateur! But... its much more pricey than the bloomsbury bowl whihc is still nice and retro but more authentic retro rather than pin-up/glamour retro IYSWIM?
I've been to All star lanes in the afternoon but bloomsbury bowling was open really late and let us bowl until about 2 am!
Which ever you choose I'm sure you'll have a fab time!

Answer:
Hi Nazneen  ,
I went to All Star Lanes on Friday night and I think it would be a great place for a birthday party - the bar's huge and kitsch as requested and I really enojyed my humungous burger even if I only ate a fraction of it!! It is quite expensive I suppose, but I think that comes with the territory if you go anywhere in the West End. I haven't been to Bloomsbury, but it's supposed to be a bit 'cooler', but I think that for a birthday party and an opportunity to wear your dress then you should definitely go to All Star.
I didn't actually stay late as we went to the Cuckoo Club afterwards, so I can't vouch for what it's like later on, but I'm sure you'll have great fun if you're with a big group of friends.

Answer:
thanks mimi and prettyinpink! 50s retro pinup is definitely what I'm going for so it sounds perfect.
How often do you clear out your closet?
NO.3. ask :
How often do you clear out your closet?
I am fast running out of space to keep any new clothes/ bags/ shoes :head: and think I need to do a spring clean, and give loads of stuff to charity. I tend to have a clear-out every now and then but it's usually dictated by my need to fit more new stuff in my wardrobe etc!
What about you? How often do you clear out your closet? And where on earth do you keep all your stuff if you don't??
Answer:
Usually once a year but I might throw out bits in between. The last time I had a proper clearout was last June before I moved house. I took a look at my wardrobe on Sunday night after I'd put all my clothes back and felt bad though - so much stuff in there! It's not like I won't ever wear it...it's just nice to have variety but unfortunately most of it only gets an airing at the weekends!
I've gone a bit primark-mad the last 3 months since our local one opened. I'm trying to stop going in so much.
I think before summer I'll have another good clear out and see if there's anything worth ebaying! And try to be ruthless about it!
Answer:
I had a huge clearout in the summer, and another one in Janurary. I'd say every 5/6 months I do a big one, but I regulary, every 1-2 months, take a trip to charity shops with my unwanted stuff
Answer:
The last time I cleaned mine out was when I couldn't fit everything in because they'd gotten messy, but since I moved in with Mr BB I've only got a chest of drawers and half a wardrobe to my name
I generally just do it when everything's a mess and I can't remember what's at the bottom anymore :p
(can't wait until we move into the new house and get some huge wardrobes built in :faint: )
Answer:
Usually twice a year, when i switch from a/w to s/s and then back again. I try to conceptualise what my look is going to be and then chuck anything which doesn't fit that look. But seeing as I pretty much wear jeans and t-shirts all year, that doesn't really mean a lot! I have guilty feelings of how many clothes i have which don't get worn about every four months, when i swear to start wearing them...but never do. This year *shall* be different ;)
PayPal
NO.4. ask :
PayPal
I recently got a refund from a seller on ebay directly into my paypal account, the payment was in $ and was converted into £ which was all fine. I didn't withdraw the money as it was under a tenner and I've since bought things though paypal and the money wasn't deducted from the purchase price so it seems to have totally disapeared... has this happened to anyone else?
Also is there a number or email I can use to find out what's happened? I've looked on the site but nothing is jumping out at me!
Thanks :)
Answer:
When you bought the items did they go on your credit card? It should say where the money is under your account thingie, it can't just disappear!
Answer:
I may be being really thick but I can't see any trace. I thought they automatically deduct any balance from your account from your next purchase, but that hasn't happened.
I am flumoxed!
I'm going to have another look and see if I'm missing something.
