Urgent: Must have these NL shoes!!!
Thinking about it now I'm so dumb I should have taken a pic of these shoes I've just seen in NL.
They come in black and also in grey, are leather and are a pointy kitten heeled shoe with a bow on the front (bow also leather).
They're £25 and (surprise!) didn't have any size 8's in either colour left.
If anyone sees a pair in a NL branch in an 8 please PM me ASAP!!!
Thank you!
Answer:
I might be going there this afternoon so I'll keep an eye out for you!

Ok embarassing and maybe slightly gross question...how long does your underarm hair need to be to when you get it waxed? I usually shave so never let it grow. But i've booked an appointment to get waxed tomorrow morning and like a dodo forgot to ask how much growth is needed :o I've let it grow about 1mm :o :o Is that enough?
Thank god for online forums is all I can say :o

Answer:
If they're doing strip-waxing then 1mm might not be enough - more like 2-3mm would be better. If they are using soft wax then 1mm should be enough.
Either way, they'll be able to get most of them with the wax, it just might take a bit more tidying up with the tweezers (ouch).
Answer:
Erm I dont know what soft wax is :o :o Its all about Venus Gilette ladies! They'll be using hot wax I assume, is that soft wax? How can they expect you to grow 2-3mm of hair, I'd expect it'd get a bit smelly wouldn it :o
Answer:
are you getting mm confused with cm ?? the numeral 1 on my computer is about 1mm wide, so a 1mm hair would just barely be out of the skin and probably not even feel stubbly yet.
strip wax is using a cloth strip, soft wax is putting thicker soft wax, letting it cool and then pulling off the wax in a sort of rubbery mass without any fabric. soft wax is less painful and gets more of the fine hairs and also is better at pulling out hairs rather than breaking some off at the surface.
and no, growing your pit hairs doesn't make it any more smelly.:)
Getting ready rituals
NO.3. ask :
Getting ready rituals
Can you tell I am bored on a friday afternoon?
So what are your rituals when you're getting ready for a big night out?
I can get ready in 20 minutes if necessary, but most of the time I like to spend a bit of time and get prepared in advance.
This usually starts with a mani, pedi and fake tan the night before although only if I'm not going out that night as well.
On the day like to run a long bath with Jo Malone bath oil and luxuriate in that for about 20 minutes. I wash my face with Eve Lom and then use the Eve Lom mask or a Ren one depending on what my skin's feeling like. I also wash and condition my hair with Aveda Shampure and put some Sap Moss conditioner on the ends as well. I'll also shave my legs and exfoliate if I'm not panicking that it'll take my tan off.
Once I'm out of the bath I smother myself in Jo Malone Body cream, douse myself in perfume and wrap my hair in a towel. I'll inevitably pour myself a strong GT or a glass of wine and crank up the music. Hard-Fi 'Living For the Weekend' 's my favourite getting ready song at the moment otherwise something cheesy like Hed Kandi. I then use Eve Lom eye serum, tlc cream and moisturiser before putting on my make up (won't bore you with that!!).
Then I use Benefit tanning / shimmer products on my body usually one or a combo of Flamingo Fancy, Jiffy tan, Hollywood Glo or Bathina before drying my hair then sticking my straighteners on.
I'll then try on everything in my wardrobe, search high and low for appropriate underwear, try and fit all my stuff including two epipens which are huge into my evening bag, call my friends to say I'm running late, call the cab firm to delay the cab then finally get dressed and straighten my hair all in a mad rush that ruins my composure, but heightens the adrenalin!!!
So what do you do to get ready??

Come on I'm lonely :( and bored  .

when I'm at uni, getting ready is rather hampered, as there is always a queue for the shower and no bath, but when I have the time etc, its usually:
night before - exfoliate, fake bake and pedicure
on the day - exfoliate (again, mad I know!!) shave, wash hair and condition ends. Out of shower, slap on the moisturisor, and pour myself a huge glass of wine. Usually have some sort of chill out music on at this point, and relax for as long as possible letting moisturisor sink in!!
start make up, and put on cheesy music. Usually at this point, friends are starting to arrive (always start off at mine), so lots more wine poured etc. Stab self in eye with mascara several times ;)
spend about half an hour chucking clothes around room trying to find something to wear, before finally finding something suitable.
more wine poured. this stage its usually lambrini though, due to the student budget :o :o :o :o
dry, straighten hair, realise I have 10mins left to paint nails, get bag ready etc. do this in major rush (especially as quite drunk at this point), then decide my top/shoes/whatever, isnt quite right, so get changed again.
and voila! I'm ready :p
eta: my version isn't quite so glamourous :o
Answer:
In an ideal world, my getting ready ritual would be something like yours Mimi, but more often than not it's 15 minutes of mad panic! Music is really important though - if I have the time, I like to play a selection of 7"s that get me in the mood - right now it'd be Arcade Fire, Belle Sebastian, a bit of old Kate Bush and 'Take Me I'm Yours' by Squeeze - love listening to that at the moment to get ready! Also like to have one (or two) stiff drinks (whiskey coke or wine) - I usually have a pretty good idea of what I'm wearing, but more often than not end up with sore lips after changing my lipstick colour three or four times!

I definitely do the mascara thing, or go haywire with my eyeliner (urrrh probably the booze) and have to spend ages with a cotton bud trying to remedy it.
Unless I've done them in advance I always forget my nails and I'm forever painting the only toe that shows in my peep toes in the cab and leaving the rest!!!

Please help me pack!
NO.4. ask :
Please help me pack!
I'm going away with Mr BB next weekend....
Friday night we're travelling down to London for the weekend. We'll probably just be doing the shops/floating around Highgate/various markets/parks during the days and then going for quiet drinks in Highgate village during the evening.
Then on Monday we're flying to Dublin for 5 days. This is likely to consist of sighseeing, shopping and general exploring during the day, and then going out for meals/drinks in the evenings.
My choice of bag is either a fairly small leather satchel (probably too small, and a pain to carry), big camping rucksack (lots of room) or weely suitcase (I hate these things, but possibly the best option?).
At the risk of sounding really dim, which bag do you suggest I go for, and what the hell can I pack that doesn't include my whole wardrobe? :o
Answer:
Bring the suitcase, you'll need the space for your shopping!!
Answer:
Just to let you know it's pretty brr here in the early morning / late evening. We are having random spats of rain too so bring a brolly! We've been lucky with a few days of sun but I'd srongly recomend layers.
Answer:
definitely the suitcase!!
Its been pretty sunny here over the last week or so, but the wind has been quite cold at times. And of course you just never know when its about to rain
I am absolutely no use with what to pack though.....I'm going away next Friday for 2 1/2 weeks to Australia (where it will be hot) and New Zealand (where it will be quite cool) so I have to pack EVERYTHING :meh:
Answer:
Definitely the suitcase, you'll want to be buying things when you're there won't you? Of course you will! :D
I'm no good at advising what to pack, as I just throw as much as I can in! But maybe work out an outfit for each day and then stick to that - and make sure you use each item more than once (you can always wash it when you're there) And take lots of accessories so you can get away with wearing the same outfit again to save space, but make it look different :D
Have a fab time hun, am v.jealous! It sounds lovely :)

 chick!
Just wondering how you are liking your spy (because I want it!!).
A few days ago, I read that you didn't like it as much as you thought you would. Why is that and do you like it anymore now?
I fancy it but I wish it had white handles... not sure whether to go for it or not. I've seen a few slouchy bags that are completely white and really soft leather, I don't know whether to go for one of those or to chance this one so all info. will be gratefully received.
Thanks!!
xx
Answer:
I love it now:o
I've put a load of junk in it ( ) and it's settled down and become more slouchy....it was a little bit stiff from the way it had been parcelled :)
The only downside is it's quite heavy but i do get a buzz when i carry it on my arm and people stare :D:lol:
It's not as huge as i thought either which is a good thing as i had this image of it being like a suitcase:eek:
I'll try and take some better piccies a bit later :)
Answer:
Ooh you  ! Pics would be great. Can you wear it on your shoulder ok?
x
Answer:
I can just :)
I'll try and take some this afternoon....see if Mr CiC will take one of it on my shoulder before he goes too - he will think i'm a loon :loopy:
Answer:
Here's some piccies - sorry they are so rubbish but i don't have any good backdrops:( Hopefully it may give you an idea of size though :)
