puffball mini skirt - how to wear it?

NO.1. Ask :
puffball mini skirt - how to wear it?
Hi!
I've just brought myself a puffball mini skirt from zara in a teal colour, but I'm at a bit of a loss with what to wear with it.
Its got a wide band at the top, before going into the 'puff' bit :o sorry about my rubbish discription, but my camera has gone to the big electrical heaven in the sky, so I can't take a picture of it.
Think I've read on here that a few of you have puffball minis...what do you wear your's with??
Thanks! I love it but if I can't work out outfits for it, it will have to go back :(

Answer:
Hi OHara
I wear mine with opaques or wooly tights and my grey buckle boots or slouchy boots or footless tights with ballet pumps. On top, a long length tee with slouchy cardi!
They're quite easy to dress up or down!
xx
Answer:
I found mine hard to put tops with also Ohara.
The other night I wore my black one out with footless tights, a white kate vest and some long black beads :)
Answer:
I used to wear mine with kate vests and ballerinas or with a tube top and shrug in summer. The tops got to be fairly fitted, anything a-line or baggy just does not look good.
Answer:
hey, thanks!
the footlass tights and ballet pump combo doesn't work for me, I just look stupid  but I have some decent boots which could look good with opaques, and thinking about it, a lot of my more simple tops should go with it. Not too sure about what I could wear with it to keep warm though?
Thanks!

Desperately looking for simple brown flats
I need to find some smart brown shoes to go with my two latest purchases, tweed shorts and black trousers. Ive seen these online but not in brown..

Can anyone suggest anywhere - so far I've looked in Zara, topshop online, faith, office, and la redoute.
    Answer:
    I like these from Office:

And I have these myself in brown (check the store), they're very versatile but a tad quirky so not too boring, think they'd look lush with tweed:

    Answer:
Try dune, nine west and ebay? Im currently wearing my new KG flats they're black tho, not sure if they do them in brown but they are so comfy!
    Answer:
At risk of sounding boring, have you tried Clarks? They often have nice footwear in various shades of brown - although if you're looking for sexy as well as practical, perhaps not...
    Answer:
Are these too fancy? From MS, £29.50

    Nomads
Anyone else got Nomad? If so do they come up small on you and have they stetched? I am a 5 and got a 5 but they are really tight. I got a 6 with my uggs as didnt realise they stretch after time - just hoping the Nomads will too?

    Answer:
My black Nomads from Kurt Geiger have just arrived in a plethora of packaging and I'm just trying them on.
Ooh yes they are snug aren't they?!
I'm a UK4.5/5 and I ordered mine in 5 according to the sizing notes on their website. This size seems perfect for my feet.
They feel like they'll stretch and the sheepskin will flatten but if I was on the large side of 5 towards a 5.5 then I think the Nomad 5 might possibly be too small.
They are completely gorgeous though! :throb:

I was thinking of this page
It does look like maybe you would be better with a 6. :(
I'm a half size and I went down rather than up as I know my Uggs have stretched and a couple of them are so loose I have to wear them with socks now.
    Answer:
great thanks - so does this mean the 5 that I bought are an aussie 5 not a uk 5?

    Sizing help
    hi!
Does anyone know of a website which tells you the measurements for each size (ie 10,12 etc). I'm getting fed up of not knowing my 'true size' because the shops vary so much.
It's not going to be anyhelp knowing it when I'm shopping, but I'm just intrigued as to what size I actually am
    Thanks,
    x ohara
    Answer:
It depends who wrote the measurements though. I'd be interested to know if there's more than one such website, and if they give the same measurements as each other!
    Answer:
2 websites that I know of are M S and DP but both of them have different measurements for the same sizes. It's v annoying when ordering online as some sites don't give exact measurements. I can be anything from an 8 to a 12
    Answer:
thanks :( its such a shame that sizes are not universal! withh try the dp site to see if anything comes to light.
    thanks!
    x ohara
    Answer:
The makers of such a site would really rake the cash in!
I've got clothes anything from a 10 to a 14, although I tend to need shirts in larger sizes despite having a really narrow back due to boobage - am hoping to get to a Bravissimo shop sometime to try their shirts in the hope that I'll finally find one which doesn't hang off my bosoms or gape!

  • Clip-on earrings?

    NO.5. ask :
    Clip-on earrings?
I've been watching some clip-on unused earrings for a while on ebay and I'm in between two minds whether or not to bid on them because my ears are pierced but I love their style (huge white circles with a red circle inside, kinda like a fried egg but not quite lol)
Are clip-ons quite comfy to wear or annoying? I'm scared of them flying off my ear lobes!
    Answer:
I wear clip ons as i don't really want to pierce my ears due to health reasons.
To be honest some are comfy and others aren't. Ones with the foam padding tend to be the comfiest.
What i would say is check out claire's accessories because there's a few ebay sellers that sell claries accessories earrings (Though the brand is not mentioned) and make a killing on them when the only cost about £4 and are usually on 3 for 2. I think it's because people don't realise claires do them.
    Answer:
    Re: Clip-on earrings?
I'm scared of them flying off my ear lobes!
But stud earrings do that too. I just lost a much loved 24 carat gold earring somewhere on the streets of this town. Annoyingly enough the actual earring had fallen off but the bit at the back was still there
I haven't worn clip ons for an age so can't remember what they were like to wear.. I have a some memory of them being sore after wearing them a couple of hours/a full day. But again, so are earrings for pierced ears.
Do you love them? Get them!
    Answer:
Aww thanks guys - Baby Appeal I know what you mean, I tend to lose earings with hooks! I just thought clip-ons may flick off easier because they aren't going through my ear.
CiC - I'm not sure if they are Claire's because they've called them 'vintage' (but unworn) - I will check out Claire's though, had no idea they sold clip-ons, as i'm looking for huge round stud type earrings. I've got some white ones from Claire's which I love but they are a bit heavy and clip-ons look lighter.
    Answer:
Oh and meant to say, the only time mine come off is if i catch them on my jumper when putting it on/off or if i catch them when tying my hair back :)
