badly dyed clothes - wrong thread?
Hi there, not quite sure if this is the right thread but I had a major washing disaster the other day :boohoo:
One of my dresses I washed for the first time and a whole 'light' washing got ruined by a few black patches!
I want my white clothes back so I was wondering if I soaked them in water with bleach would that get them white again or could that ruin the clothes?
any tips on getting my whites white again would be appreciated!
thanks!
Answer:
There is some stuff you an buy in the supermarket that is supposed to take your clothes back to bright white again. I've never tried it and I can't remember what it is called, something like glo white I think. It's usually beside the washing powders, etc. Hope you manage to get it sorted. Mx
Answer:
I see what you're thinking with the bleach but I wouldn't recommend it as the strength may damage fibres in the fabrics.
Answer:
The thing which should sort this out is Stain Devils' Colour Run - it's been a lifesaver for me in similar situations.
Answer:
thanks all! glad i didn't go crazy and bleach it all
sending my boy to asda on his lunch brek tomorrow with a list of whitey products!
thanks all!

Do you own any store cards?
NO.2. ask :
Do you own any store cards?
I am just interested if any of the fashion baggers own store cards?
Are you worried about the interest on them? Or do you pay it off each month?
Do you think they are worth having?
I dont have any but just wondering what others think
:)
Answer:
I have three store cards, and as long as you pay them off each month i think they're great. Really handy for when to comes to the end of the month and you're short on money but need a new outfit for a night out, and i prefer to use them while shopping online rather than giving over my bank details :)
Answer:
I've got a Debenhams one, but the interest rate is extortionate so if I buy something on it I always pay it off the next month. It's worth it because you get money off vouchers and additional discounts in the sale, and sometimes the odd freebie (got a cool umbrella last time).
I also have a habit of taking them out to get the initial 20% discount, then paying off the thing I buy and never using it again. I did this with the House of Fraser and some others I've forgotten about.
Answer:
I dont have any.
My parents have drilled into me dont do store cards, credit cards etc.
I think I'd be good with them and pay them off etc, so should probably consider getting one, but dont see the point IYSWIM...
Answer:
Ive got a couple but I dont really use them anymore; if I do then I pay them off in full at the end of the month (a few years ago when I was a student I got a bit carried away with store cards and so fully appreciate the dangers  )
They are useful for ordering things online though, if youre not sure you are going to keep something and dont want to have the money going out of your account and then having to wait for it to be refunded; Ive mainly used mine like this when shopping on the TS website.
The green dress from the Braun advert
NO.3. ask :
The green dress from the Braun advert
Does anyone know where the dark green dress off of the Braun epil advert (boring ad) is from? Or one that looks like that?
Have a wedding in the summer and really like the look of that dress, mostly the colour i'll admit!
Answer:
I haven't seen that ead but I know that both next and miss selfridge have nice green dresses in just now :)
Answer:
I've just seen the advert with this dress!!
Its like a forest green silk dress with a faint polka dot on it! I agree.. its gorgeous!!!
I've not seen anything, but i'll be keeping a look out!
Answer:
Have you tried e-mailing Braun and asking them?
Answer:
Oooooooh I like your thinking! Do you reckon they'd reply? Worth a go anyway.
Clothes you havent worn
NO.4. ask :
Clothes you havent worn
 Hi, do you have a lot of clothes you havent worn, and if so do you have a seperate section in your wardrobe for clothes you havent worn.
Im hopeless and buy stuff when ive got nowhere to wear them and end up with quite a collection of stuff still with the tags on, just wondered if i was alone.
sorry if this should be in fashion
Answer:
I cleared my wardobre out when I came back home, some went on Ebay, the rest is sat in my tiny room in black bin bags (Theres about 4) so now in my wardrobe is all just clothes I wear/Will def wear and a few essentials I didnt want to part with. I prefer it this way than having loads of clothes I hate in there which just depress me because I think they're disgusting now IYSWIM.
Answer:
I wear everything I've got..I don't really do impulse buys which I think helps and I've only got one double waredrobe and six drawers so if I've gone off something it goes to the charity shop..I don't have the space to keep stuff I don't like but it rarely rarely happens that I go off something.

:faint: I'm in awe!
Answer:
I don't think that I own anything I've never worn, I usually rip the tags off as soon as I get home and wear it as soon as possible! If I go off something, I normally take it to the charity shop just round the corner.
