Wear fishnet tights with peeptoe shoes?
I know tights and sandals are never ever a good idea, but could I get away with the above? The peeptoes aren't very large so you'd only see a small portion of toe
Thanks
Answer:
In my book - yes! Just as long as they're not nude ones...
Not everyone can pull it off though; I used to know someone who did this all the time, and she looked great because she did it with conviction (e.g. contrasting colours). But I've seen other people make a complete mess of it!

Answer:
I think that worn well, and with confidence, it can look great. But if you're not 100% happy with how it looks you probably shouldn't risk it.
Thta's not much help at all, is it  :D
Answer:
I think it works. I wore black fishnets to my xmas party with gold peep-toe sandals. I then wore a fairly demure dress so it looked more quirky than tarty.
Answer:
i like this lots, though it does depend on the shoes and tights in question.. i think it looks cute:)

    NO.4. ask :
O/T, but how do I know my ring size???
I know this is O/T but I know some of you are married, engaged etc.
My O/H asked me for my ring size the other day :faint:
I was like "ermmmm NO IDEA"
Is there a way to measure it, or will I have to go to a jewellery shop to ask thm to measure my finger?
Oh and my brain has gone mushy but what hand does an engagement ring go on, just so I measure the right hand, in case he decides to ask me :faint:
    Answer:
aaah bless! Give him a ring that fits that fnger. My OH sneaked a look at two of my rings (both different sizes) on the scale he'd been given and went for the one in between (which is perfect fit!)
    Answer:
Wow how exciting! :yay: :) The engagement and wedding ring go on the 4th inger of left hand. I went to argos to get my finger measured when I got my ring for my 18th birthday :o they have a keyring of little rings and you try them n until you find the one that fits you best :)
    Answer:
me best friend used to work in h samuels and apparantly blokes would go in with a piece of bluetack with imprints of their girlfriends ring in it lol!
tbh it doesnt really matter what ringsize u get as you can always have them resized etc
however, my way of working out my ringsize was looking at the rings on ebay and then measuring the diameter of my existing rings! lol! it worked"
    Answer:
Ok, I think most of my rings are for my finger next to the ring finger, as all my rings are costume jewellery type rings.
Not that I ever wear them anyway :o
    Ok, so left hand.
I'd do that Mitchey if I had some rings for that finger :uzzle:
Might pop into Ernest Jones later today and see if they can meaure it like that Nursie:)
I'm curious though, as to what he wants it for :D:D:D:D

  • Patterned tights on chunky(ish) legs??

    NO.5. ask :
    Patterned tights on chunky(ish) legs??
    OK here's my dilemma...
On Xmas day I'm planning to wear my new cropped black trousers with my long black boots underneath but when I get to MIL's for dinner I'll have to take the boots off leaving my white legs for all to see. When I sit down in these cropped trousers they do show more leg than when I'm standingup IYSWIM. So, I thought I would wear tights underneath. Are black opaque a bit naff now?:o I would like to wear blacktights with a pattern on, do they make legs look bigger? Is it better to go for small or large patterns??
    Fank oo in advance!
    Answer:
Nowt wrong with black opaques - just make sure they're matte - the shiny ones are awful.
If you're going for a pattern - go for one with either vertical stripes to elongate and slim, or a small pattern. Micro fishnets look great - they really slim my legs down.
    Answer:
Black opaques are absolutely fine, in my book.
The only thing I'd say about patterned tights is that horizontal stripes and bright colours are not a good idea on chunkier legs! Other than that, I don't think it matters.
    g_k
    Answer:
I'd go for plain black. I'm not keen on patterned tights. Black tights that are textured might be nice.
    Answer:
Maybe something with a slight pattern would be nicer. Black opaques with black shorts maybe be too much block black IYSWIM?
