Latest purchase, why so rude?!
I went late night shopping to get my dad the Peter Kay CD, but I ended up coming home without it and instead I got myself a short black fitted waistcoat and a black satin (not shiny) head/Alice band.
I was pretty pleased with my purchase as it only cost me £26, until I got in and my flatmate pulled her face and said what on earth made you buy those? You will look about 10!
I’m wearing the headband today in work and people have commented (positively) on it, but I’m still annoyed by what she said, I didn’t ask for her opinion so why did she have to be so rude.
And the most annoying thing is she has said things like that in the past and then gone out and bought the same/similar thing.
Rant over now, thanks for reading.
Answer:
Sounds to me like she has had an attack of the green eyed monter me thinks...
Rumplex:)
Answer:
Maybe,
But she said what did you buy that (headband) for?
I said to wear on my head, why else!?
And she turned around and said, “oh I thought it was for dressing up or something!”
WTF I am not in the habit of ‘dressing’ up on a regular basis and I know they may not be to everyone’s taste but there is no need to be rude about it.
Answer:
ah, don't worry about it mimi. v. annoying but just say to her well, each to their own! if she goes and copies you again i'd bring her up on it
sure it looks lovely, especiall that youve had good comments from people at work.

Sounds like she is envious of your ability to try new looks, Im sure she just wishes she could be a little more original ( she used the term dressing up ;) )
Don't let it get you down, replay the compliments over in your head instead :D

Office Returns help
Almost 2 weeks ago I bought a pair of gold strappy party shoes from Office.
In these 2 weeks I have only worn them twice but on the second time of wearing them(which was last night) the exact same strap snapped on both of the shoes.
It says with my receipt that they do not offer refunds and will only give a credit note or exchange if the shoes are unmarked but surely since I have only worn these twice and it must be a clear manufacturing fault since it is the exact same strap on both shoe which is snapped they must do something about it?
Any help greatly appreciated!
ETA: Also does anyone know when the Office sale starts as I don't want to lose out on what I originally paid for them!
Answer:
Hi Sorry to hear about your shoes. Office have a bad reputation on her for faulty shoes and bad customer service so when you take them back you will need to be very assertive and know your rights. The shoes are clearly faulty and as you have a reciept I am sure you are entitled to a full refund! SO if they try and plam you off with a gift card or exchange don't take any cr*p from them and ask to see the manager. I am going to have a search for you and see if I can find the consumer rights so you can go armed with the law ;)

There is a lot of good info here including the acts you are protected under as a consumer :) Good luck!

Thank you so much for your help Nursie!
I had no idea Office had such a bad reputation although on hindsight it is very rare for a shop to refuse to give refunds.
Hopefully I can get into Edinburgh some time this week to my nearest office to take them back before any sales start.
It will be murderously busy because of christmas shopping but I'm determined too stand my ground and get something done. Definitely going to hold out for a refund!
Thanks again for your help!

Online prices different to instore prices! Is this normal?!!
Hello! Just recieved a top from Warehouse online (yey!). It cost £35 online and this is printed on my statement and is online now at that price. I LOVE the top so I don't want to return it, and I got 20% off so I'm not overly bothered, but the price on the ticket attached to the top says £30! Is this nrmal for prices to vary online as it doesn't seem very fair to pay more just because I didn't go into store:confused:
Am I within my rights to phone them and ask for £5 refund or is it their right to have differen prices? It just seems a bit strange!
Cheers :)
Answer:
No idea but how did you get 20% off?
Answer:
I think there's a thing somewhere saying online prices and instore prices may not be the same. Some online things are cheaper than instore:eek:
I'd play dumb and phone zoom customer services saying that you paid £35 but notice the tag says £30 and why is this? Is it an online error? type thing;)
Loony - There was a grazia discount few days the beginning of the week but it's ended now :(

How often do you wear your jeans before washing them?

How often do you wear your jeans before washing them?
I wash mine after every wear to keep them tight and clean. But my friend wears hers for months without washing them and they wear so beautifully - keep their shape and colour much better and look very individual.

well i invariably get mud or food or things down mine so i wash them every wash/every two washes
Answer:
I wear mine a few times (unless they get dirty) :)
Answer:
I probably wear mine 3 or 4 times, until I spill something on them :p
Answer:
I wear mine a lot - maybe 8 times before dry cleaning them :o .
The SA at Start told me that with True Religion jeans you should wear them for as long as you can and wash them as little as possible if you want them to wear well.
Hmm, don't think anyone's going to want to sit next to me at the next meet now!!!

Topshop long cardigan

Topshop long cardigan
In early November I was admiring a long cardigan in Topshop, and planned to get it for Xmas. But now none of the shops seem to have it, and it doesn't seem to be on the website either. Surely it can't have been discontinued so quickly, it's not even the end of the season yet! I want that cardigan :(
Answer:
I think I know which one you mena - is it about £50 and quite heavy - could be worn almost as a coat??? I have seen them recently - I think in the Victoria branch..
