wedding
June wedding either means sunny and summery or wet and windy....... is it a daytime wedding or an afternoon to evening, is it a church do, social club reception, grand hotel or marquee? What's your budget, body shape or size..... dresses are always nice, Debenhams is a good place to start, try their personal shopper service... or Coast have some nice things in their sale... somebody else posted wedding stuff on the Fat girl wedding thread (their title, not mine) but there were some lovely suit everyone styles on there.....
Do you like colour, patterns, Give us something to go on....... sandals, shoes, hats, hair bags etc.....

Wet and windy, I hope not, I get married in June :D
As lacegirl says, there are loads of dresses in the shops at the minute, try Debenhams, Monsoon, Coast.
A nice dress with a little cardi (in case it's a bit nippy) and heels would look really nice.

Thanks for you replies

Well its a wedding at a hotel, with the reception and evening do there too, so if possible I would like something that I can wear from the wedding through to the evening

I'm a size 10, and I would love to wear a dress but haven't a clue what style or anything to go for as I hardly ever wear them apart from my trusty LBD.

I would like something quite girly, and I have blonde hair and pale skin.

Any ideas xxx

Is this cardigan ok to go over wedding outfit?
    3 Attachment(s) Hello,
I don't post here very often but I read the fashion threads regularly.
It is my cousins wedding on saturday and I have got my dress and shoes sorted, but apparently it is going to turn colder at the weekend so I will probably need something to keep my arms warm. I had limited time today to go shopping, and out of desperation I bought this cardigan from Monsoon. It wasn't really what I had in mind, I was thinking of something in silver or lighter pink (and cheaper really), but after trying it on I think it goes better than I though it would.
Does this cardigan look ok? I will have some time tomorrow to go shopping if anyone can think of anything that would look nicer. I have tried Debenhams and couldn't find anything. Any suggestions would be great....
And if it looks ok is it better done up or undone?
(My hair and make-up will be much better on the day!)
    Answer:
I think it looks good, it's a really nice colour. I prefer it closed to open.
    Answer:
    Cuppa, you look extremely pretty.
I think the cardi goes really well- actually does your complexion a lot of favours and peps up the dress too.
    Answer:
I love the colour but I'm not sure the style is very flattering. I think a pashmina over your shoulders would look lovely :)

Mari -Thanks, thats what I thought as well :)

2 Attachment(s) Just had a quick trip to Asda and they have some lovely bits in at the moment.
    - Lots of skinny crops - saw them in black, white, pink lemon.
    - A few different maxi dresses, including one in a lovely pucci-esque print (pics below)
    - Lovely blouses...I umm-ed aah-ed over a white one with a broderaie anglaise (sp?) bib but the sleeves were a bit too puffy for my liking
    - Stone slouchy playsuit which was fab, but a terrible colour on me
    - Longline ruched bandeaus...saw these in electric blue green
    - Lots of sandals, although no gladiator sandals much to my dismay
    - Gorgeous vintage looking gold/brinze snakeskin heels and the same in silver/gunmetal. I loved these and they were a bargain at £12, but I've gotten a liking for my heels chunky and these were stiletto so I left them behind in a sensible moment :faint:

    NO.5. ask :
A bikini that will suit my shape
I'm thinking ahead early for my holiday in September.

I'm a smallish size 12, fill it nicely but can take 10's in some things (only in Primark really though).

Last year I had just normal triangle bikinis, the string ones, but I was always concious too much of my bottom was showing to the beaches of Ayia Napa :o

Its around my hips I am most concious of, well just above, my 'love handles' so to speak. I have lines on the outer of my waist above the hips which show that there is extra weight IYSWIM and I hate them, its what makes my bikinis look awful!

What sort of style would you reccomend? My bra size is a mediumish C.
    Answer:
Well, with a size 10-12 I would say you cannot have too much excess weight at all (unless you are 4 feet tall  )
If you would 100% like to cover your waist, why not try a nicely cut, sexy bathing suit? if you definately want to go for a bikini, maybe something in the style of that bikini Halle Berry wore in the James Bond movie: fairly structured triangle top and hipster boy style brief: sexy without showing too much?
