How does your OH describe the way your dress?
Silly question because I'm bored of actuarial maths and need entertaining!
I asked mr g_k this the other day, and after looking blank for a bit, he came up with 'feminine with attitude'. Naturally, the way I dress is much more complex than that , but I can live with that description!
A friend on the other hand asked her boyfriend the same question, and was told something like 'a cross between a tramp and a glitter ball' :cmeek: She's still trying to work out if it's complimentary or insulting!!

I went into the Covent Garden store earlier and they didn't have any. TBH honest I got mine about 6 months ago and haven't seen any recently, but TS have been doing rip offs. Mine is driving me barmy as it's just so HUGE now and falls off my shoulder constantly.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrr

Are the TS ones nice? Which TS would have them, only OC or throughout the country?
Polka dot partee
NO.3. ask :
Polka dot partee
Is it just me, or is anyone else excited about the emerging trend for black and white polka dots? I've always loved this look - reminiscent of 50s holidays or something!
There are some dresses around now (some really funky ones in Top Shop) and lovely blouses.
For some reason I think of it as a bit more of a summer trend though, but I'll definitely be snapping up anything polka in the sales.
Answer:
Have seen fabulous polka dot dresses in TS and I think one in Oasis, I too am crossing my fingers these are in the sales
(although Im such a hoarder I still have my polka dot cami from the last time it did the rounds :D)

Yep - there's a lovely one in Oasis - deep V front and back. I have been subconsciously lusting after that for a while now...
Any idea when their sale starts?
Answer:
I too love polka dots and have a cami from the last time (about three years ago I think). The vintage bit downstair of Topshop on Oxford Street had some lovely polka dot strapless dresses in a couple of weeks ago that I was too tempted by - will definitely buy one once my friend confirms that she is getting married next summer.
Answer:
I absolutely loathe polka dots so it's definitely not a trend for me!
:p
I particularly hate navy blue polka dots on a cream background or vice versa.
It's all too matronly or too clowny for me!
corset/ corset top for fancy dress
NO.4. ask :
corset/ corset top for fancy dress
help!
I need to track one down for my (rather slutty ;) ) NYE fancy dress outfit.
It's a Wild West theme and I'm planning to go as saloon girl - no not very original!
So far the only part of the outfit I have is a purple boa so ideally it wouldn't clash with this.
I'd really like a tight, lace-up one and don't want to spend too much as I think I will probably only get limited wear from it!
Any suggestions of what I earth I can wear on my bottom half much appreciated!

Answer:
New look have lots of corsetty type tops in the sale at the moment. The were cheap to begin with too.
With a short ruffle skirt?
Answer:
Thanks - I'll definitely go and have a look.
Yes, a ruffle skirt sounds about right. It's at times like this I wish I actually had some sewing talent!
Might have a rummage in the local charity shops...
Answer:
how about a quick search on ebay - I just did a quick search and got "2479 items found for corset" - you'll get something slutty and cheap on there surely?

Answer:
They used to sell this make in Hyper Hyper, then it changed to Hype DF and now they are not there!
Try Spirit in Selfridges, they might have it I think...
Freemans Catalogue were doing a few bits of it I think too:eek:
Answer:
Oh I used to love Wit and Wisdom! I had a pale gold corset and pencil skirt that I used to wear clubbing! :o :D For ages, they didn't sell it anywhere in Bristol and we used to go up to Hyper Hyper and stock up. Haven't seen it for years though....
