Stupid question...

Stupid question...
Dear all,
Forgive me for posting another Uggs thread, but I don't often come into fashion and I'm in need of some advice.
I got some ugg-a-likes from Hartings today. They're gorgeous tall chestnut boots and they're soooo snuggly.
Anyway, I'm a clumsy oaf, so it's good idea to protect my boots from spills, etc. Can I use normal suede protection spray on them?
Sorry, I know it's a stupid question :o
Thanks.
Answer:
yep you can, if you do a search i think it was catwoman in catsuit has posted about this i remember reading that she sprayed hers with that spray stuff the dirt brushes off after its dryed anyway
Answer:
Yes you can use normal Scotchgard type protector stuff. As long as it says suede on the can.
When you start spraying the suede will go darker as it gets wet but it will soon dry lighter again.
Just this morning I was doing my two new doorstops filled with cornish pebbles from Celtic Sheepskin!
You should do it outside if you can because it's stinky stuff that probably wouldn't do you any good.
And don't do it in the wind like I just did because I seem to have accidentally Scotchgarded my jeans, my jumper and my hair too.
Answer:
Thanks :)
I've got some scotchgard stuff so I'll pop outside and give them a spray.
Why did I not buy uggs before now? They are sooo lovely.

    Tit tape?
Anyone know where I can buy some 'tit tape' on the high street? I have a work party on Friday and I'm slightly concerned that the top I'm wearing will ride down during the night exposing my somewhat ample bosom. The office letch already drools and can't take his eyes off them as soon as he see's me, I'll never get rid of him if that happens:rolleyes:
    Answer:
Claires accessories and debenhams spring to mind :)
    Answer:
Wow that was quick!! I was thinking maybe Claires, I'll have a look tomorrow - thanks :)
    Answer:

    Returns dilemma
So, I bought some stuff online from Dorothy Perkins a few weeks ago. It too ages to get to me because the stupid courier kept messing up. First he came when no one was in so left a card saying he would bring it the same time next day. My brother waited in for me and it never came. The following day he turned up with no parcel and when my brother answered the door he said 'I was just checking if your in, i'll bring the parcel tomorrow then' !! WTF? why he didnt just bring the stupid parcel then i don't know. So the next day my brother waits in again, it doesn't turn up again!!! The following day I leave a note on the door as no one is going to be in saying to deliver it to my bf's but it never turns up and no card is left at my mum's to say whether he's been or not. So i phone in the end and it finally comes a few days later.
Anyway, back to the point ....... so I didnt get my parcel until a while after the despatch date, and when i finally tried the stuff on i didnt like it. I cant get back into town until Friday to take them back but i'm now out of the 14 days return time, so can i kick off in the store and say they have to return it because i didnt get it till really late so it left me with no time to try and return, or will they just say i cant prove it and tell me to f off !??
I wouldn't mind if it was just a top and from somewhere that i actually shop in but i never buy anything from DP so cant exchange plus its £60 that i could do with right now!
    Sorry for long post!!!
    Answer:
would it be worth ebaying? or could you take it back to a store, im pretty sure you can do that
    Answer:
why is it only a 14 day retuen? i thought most places are 30day return, i know the DP shop is?
    Answer:
no it is def 14 days when you order on line (topshop, miss , d.perkins )
    Answer:
I've taken stuff back way after 14 days when I've bought from DP's online ?

  • where are all the platforms??

    NO.4. ask :
    where are all the platforms??
I've been after a pair of platforms for over a month now - nothing fancy, just plain black platforms, pref. slingback and a peeptoe, but I'm pretty easy on the details - but can I find any on the highstreet? Noo!
Has anyone seen anything remotely like my description around? I had a huge hunt today, but couldn't find anything similar anywhere  I know some of the higher -end brands have them, but I can't stretch to a 100 pounds plus at the moment :(
    Anyone? Sorry about the rant!
    Answer:
There's these platform style peep toes from Look Again. I have them in red and for £40 they're a bargain!! Really impressed with the quality too!
Saw some black sandals with a slight platform in River Island last night as well :)
    Answer:
Have you tried MS Limited Collection. Mine are from there - back in the summer admittedly, by they do tend to carry their stock for ages.... You might be lucky and find a rogue pair..... Office also have a fabulous black suede pair, but they're not sling back :)
    Answer:
Office have them I'm sure Mitchey has them and they are gorgeous - about £60 I think.
    xx
    Answer:
drat, I nearly went into office today, but it looked pretty busy so couldn't be bothered  are these the ones you mean? they could be just what I'm after! Although are they very uncomfortable?
Thanks! Those Look Again ones look good Jerrica, but I'm an odd size so need to try them on, so mail order is out for me :(

  • what are you planning to get in the sales ?

    NO.5. ask :
what are you planning to get in the sales ?
Not much for me at the moment, (im 4 months pregnant so getting to that point where 'normal' clothes dont really fit!) . So all i can think of is a grey cardigan from French connection with sequin beading near the collar . Think its £60..It was featured in a magazine Davina Mccall was wearing it was also in last months marie claire. Its not on the website though I believ their sale has already started so hopefully i dont
Failing that some decent maternity jeans, thinking of Citizens of humanity ones but dont know whether will get any in the sale...
Might get some tall uggs from hartings in chestnut but i dont know whether they will have a sale or not.
    Answer:
forgot, not fashion but a new laptop !
    Answer:
love2shop1 I think now would be the time to treat yourself to some lovely jewellery!
Fashionwise I'd like some new jeans. I also need some new flat shoes.
And very boringly I need a new suitcase. I only seem to have tiny or huge at the mo and I need something in between.
    Answer:
yep PB jewellery is good a one, I have been lusting after a tiffany cuff ! have bought so many shoes bags since ive been pregnant, but darent spluge too much on clothes at the moment what with the bump thats growing quickly now !
    Answer:
Nothing!!! I have a couple of planned non sale purchases for post Crimbo including some shoes from Office and some kind of jacket, but I am desperately trying to be a bit more clever with my cash and resisting the urge to spend all the money I've just been paid  .
Oh if I don't get a digital camera for Christmas then I may treat myself to one of those.
