Topshop sale returns?
Just a quick query on Topshops returns policy with regards to sale items.
Theres a couple of things I'd like from the website but I'd rather order a few sizes and then send back the ones that don't fit as I can be all over the place but do they accept returns on sale items?

I *love* Next shoes. They do a black, pointy-toed stiletto at £24.99. I bought my first pair back in the summer and love them so much I bought 3 more pairs the same so I can just replace them as they get worn out.

Well, I know the quality is dubious and the prices are ridiculous for such dubious quality, BUT... Lemme tell you my recent experiences of TS:
I've bought 3 items there - a blouse which lost a button the first time I wore it (but I like it anyway, so just sewed it back on), a cardigan that you have to be extremely careful with as it catches on everything and you end up with little loops of pulled-out threads.. I know, I ought to return it, but I love the style and colour. Anyway, the third item was a pair of black cotton trousers which looked fab and I wore them loads. Then I washed them, at 40C as per instructions, and suddenly they were an inch shorter and looked stupid with all my shoes boots, even flat ones!
I had had them for over 6 weeks, but I thought I'd go back anyway, to see what they had to say. Took them back to TS at Oxford Circus and they just asked what was wrong with them and then refunded the full amount straight away. Thought I'd let you know, esp in view of recent postings re. returning things. I had expected to have to Be Assertive, but there was no need. :)
Finally: today I went into Selfridges and just happened to flick through the sale rail at the TS concession, even though I'd told myself I was definitely never buying anything else at that useless place.... But... found a skirt that I've been eyeing up (and which my sister has in black) but couldn't quite justify buying - it was £40 at full price, which is kind of too much for a slinky party skirt when you don't need it, innit!? :think: At £20, it suddenly seemed like THE must-have item of the day! It's beauoootiful! Slinky silvery grey pleated(ish) satiny shiny swooshy... oooh...:lovegrin: It looked fab on! I'm thinking a black top, black fishnets and some cool black shoes, for NYE, say? :hatparty: On the other sale rail, I found a funky black top for a tenner, so I was forced to buy that too. :D
I wonder if either of these items will fall apart on the first wear... Actually, the skirt had a some little loops for the belt (sash? tassel string thingy around the waist), one of which had broken off, but I bought it anyway (after trying to haggle the price down a bit, but they weren't having any of that - still, can't blame a girl for trying, huh?!). So I'm kind of feeling fairly benevolent towards TS at the moment! :D

I agree, CaramelX, and so did one of the shop assistants, but the guy who was serving me just kept saying it's already half price, so you'll just have to get your sewing kit out! Cheeky! Still, I guess he knew I wanted the skirt anyway... It really is gorgeous! :) I think I may have to wear it tomorrow when Mr Cz takes me out for dinner!:yay:

Hello everyone, just after a bit of advice please.
I'd love to wear a lovely black dress for my birthday in 2 weeks but I don't know what style to go for. I am 5ft 4" size 10 top and 12 bottom. My stomach is slightly larger than it should be at the moment and this is my main concern. I need to hide it!!! I've always had a large tush, which doesn't bother me. It's just my stomach which looks out of proportion to my general shape.
Does anyone know what sort of style I should go for please? Thank you. x :)

I would probably go for either an empire line (something that is fitted around the bust and then flares out) like this one from Warehouse:
Alternatively you could go for a wrap dress - they are great for different sized top and bottom. Try places like Debenhams.
