slightly O/T moody rant

NO.1. Ask :
slightly O/T moody rant
earlier in the year tried on a fab jersey dress, with draped sleeves and a fantastically cut skirt from All Saints but as it was £140 I didn't buy it.
I went in there yesterday and they were reduced, in all sizes to £60, but as i have no money I couldn't buy it.
Feel quite miffed really especially as I am now heading out to the sticks for a week and they will be bound to have gone by the time i rock up with my christmas money.
Just wanted to share that with some folk who understand.
Answer:

Answer:
Unfortunately got to go and catch train to said sticks in just over an hour, I think I should take the rationalists approach (as opposed to the fashion approach) that if it is there when i go back then I was meant to have it.
Answer:

    Hey guys!!
I am going to the pub today, but im going to be there from about 2 till evening and i have no idea what to wear!!!
Needs to be nice for the evening but not too nice for the day!!!

    Thanks!!!
    Answer:
Jeans and a dressy top, take a jacket or a shrug along too, to wear for the day.
    Answer:
yeah its just that thats a little casual for me, i normally get dressed up when i go out on a normal night and people will see me and think i havent bothered!
    Thanks for replying though!!
    Answer:
I know what you mean, but it's sometimes hard to seperate the day and night look, if you want to go full throttle.
Is there any way that you could pop home, to do a quick change?
    Answer:
How about something like a wrap dress? Can be dressed down with a cardigan during the day and looks understatedly elegant by itself (with the right accessories!) in the evening.
Failing that, what do you normally wear on an evening out? Then starting with that, tone it down by swapping the bottom half/shoes/jewellery etc for a 'daytime' version.

    Bargain of the week!
My tax rebate cheque for £500 arrived this morning so I raced out of bed and to the bank to cash it before it shut with half an hour to go (with no makeup on and without having a shower!!!) with the intention to take my ass straight back home ...but no, I got distracted by the sales ....
I popped into my local NL and bought a light brown wool mix military style jacket with fab embroidery on the sleeves for ....£15!!
I can't post a pic of it yet cos my picture settings aren't set up on my tmobile chip - only on my 02 chip and I dunno how to do it so will have to top up my 02 chip before I can post a pic so bear with me!!!
It was originally £50 and was on a long rail of jackets that hadn't been marked down yet but I suspected were in the sale.
I asked a SA if it was in the sale and she said 'I'll come and check" as she had that bar code thingy in her hand. Another SA then interrupted and said 'If it's not marked down yet then you can't buy it at sale price". Yeah. Whatever
So SA no 1 checked for me and it was marked down to £15
When I went to the till even the guy who served me said "Where the hell did you find that?!"
Yay!! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
Also bought these in gold for £15 from Topshop
And in DP a brown crochet shrug type thing for £12 and this in black for £10 and also a thick peridot style bracelet for £2.50.
Anyway, just wanted to share. Gotta take a shower!!:o
    Answer:

    NO.5. ask :
    Fabric dye
I'm planning to dye a navy cotton bomber jacket I have to black, I've bought a pack of dylon hand dye to do the business but i'm a bit confused :uzzle:
It says the dye should be enought for 250grams of material so like a tshirt, and from the instructions there seems to be only a very small amount of water used so not enought to cover a jacket. So would I need to buy another pack of the stuff or is it just not appropriate to do? Anyone dyed their clothes before because i'm verrrrry stuck
    A confused AMP x
    Answer:
I'd follow the instructions to the dot if I were you! In my experience, it is very hard to get the dye to take evenly, so definitely weigh the garment and double up the dye to the correct weight, or you'll end up with patchy colour. Are you dyeing it in the washing machine? (Dylon do special dyes for this purpose, which I've used in the past) There has to be enough water to soak the whole garment and distribute the dye, and even then it can be hard to get an evenly coloured result, but turning something navy into black is probably as straight forward as dyeing ever gets, so good luck! :)
    Answer:
I think for a jacket a machine dye would be best. The hand dyes are ok for small lightweight stuff.
    Answer:
Hmmm I guess i'll get one of the machine ones instead I guess. I'm just worried i'll be dying stuff black three washes later!

That won't be a problem - never happened to me anyway. Just make sure you run the machine empty for one cycle, after you've finished with the dyeing, so that it gets thoroughly rinsed.
