Wearing a dress over jeans
I've just bought a black boob tube dress. It's just above knee length with an uneven ragged bottom.
I was wondering if this would look good over jeans with a wide low slung belt (thought it would be a good way of getting more wear out of it)!
Does anyone else do this?

I think it will look really nice, go for it! It's a good way of dressing down a dress plus your legs will be nice warm, especially at this time of year! Don't just think it's a casual look though as with the right accessories a nice pair of heels it can look quite smart - but I would only wear dark jeans with it for an evening look.

hi guys! :wave: been lurking here for ages and impressed with all your knowledge! Just needed to ask a little advice and some suggestions..I've always been very envious of people who get really cool things during sales, cos I've never been very good at itpicking out bargains (am totally crap at it actually) and always end up just buying the expensive non-sales items.
Now my problem is that I've started studying again and am on a very tight budget with a new years party to go to... so it'd be nice to find something maybe during the sales....now it might just be me but it appears that size 14/16 (my size depending on the shop) is a very popular size so I can never find anything during sales!!!
So my question is...will i have better chance of finding something if i brave the masses on boxing day? Or is there a proper sale on clothes on boxing day at all? Or am I just being way too optimistic? As you can see, I haven't been shopping much for the last few years so am embarrassingly out of touch.....
your expert suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

I think I'd brave the masses on Boxing Day as you're looking for something for a New Year party. Debenhams should be worth a look. Laura Ashley is always good for reductions on posh party frocks but I don't know when they're open after Christmas. I bought a lovely long, backless, fitted red dress for about £15 in the sales one year from there.

Ok, sharpen elbows (very important) set alarm for early boxing day, wear bag that needs no hands, light clothes (you don't want to pass out) and GO .... get in there early, be prepared for major stress and you will for sure bag a bargain.
The Debenhams sale has started already on line so check out what's on offer, also one last important thing, go with something in mind for what you want.... and buy everything you see, it can always be taken home analysed and then returned.
