Fashion Shoot - What to wear.
NO.2. ask :
Fashion Shoot - What to wear.
I won a fashion shoot in London, so thought i would go as never done anything like this before. They said i would have to bring 4 outfits and jewellery. I havent a clue what to take with me and what to expect. Has anyone done anything like this before? x
Answer:
My friend won something similar - the best thing to do is bring fairly classic items which won't date (so you don't look back and think, eek what was i wearing) - a white shirt is excellent as it frames your face nicely.
Hope you enjoy!
Answer:
I agree with PC, you should take things that aren't to high fashion so the pictures don't date quickly. I'm sure someone else won one of these a few weeks ago  Have a fab time :D
Answer:
One of the things I'd definitely take is a classic LBD if you have one. Have fun, hope you enjoy it :)
Answer:
Ooh Yeah LBD would be good. Might see if i can buy one online. x
Does this look OK?

2 Attachment(s) I bought some dark brown wooden stack heel boots the other week from Primark, I wanted them and they didnt have them in my size for ages! Then I found a pair, and they where only £3.00
I havent worn them yet, :cmdunno: I loved them and still do, but part of me is thinking they look a bit 'riding boot' like when on (The label said brown riding boots!? Maybe thats why I think that!)
I also think my thighs look drastically large when I wear them... although I dont know why as I dont think they look that big when I'm in flat boots, and heels can only do you favours.
Basically, I'm asking if you like them? I'd probably wear them with denim skinnies, and a dressyish top and curly hair for events like cinema, pub, etc.
ETA; God my thighs look awful in that first pic! It's taken at a dodgy angle, I couldnt get a close up so had to take it from above and slant it slightly IYSWIM.
Answer:
The boots look really nice and your thighs look even better! Fat my arse - yep, my arse is fat...
Answer:
You look fab! i love those boots :throb:
Answer:
:D So glad you like my boots!
They reminded me of a cheap version of the TS brandy boots which I've seen baggers wearing and thought :faint: :yay:
Can you believe they where only £3! (I'll never get over that!)
Answer:
they look great, boots are just wot u need now, its freeeezing outside
xx
these shoes with this dress...
NO.4. ask :
these shoes with this dress...
Finally managed to find a pair of shoes that I like, can walk in and i think go with my dress (), what do you think? Have tried upload a pic of my whole outfit but my computer is misbehaving, will try again later!
Answer:
IMHO I think the shoes are too 'heavy' for the dress IYSWIM, sorry :o
Love the dress though :throb:
Answer:
Yeah I agree...the dress and shoes are both lovely and the shoes would work fine with something else.....but they are a little day timey and heavy with that dress which needs a more glamorous sandal.
Answer:
If that shoe was in black suede and not black leather it would be totally transformed and I'd love it. I think you need a softer shoe, suede, velvet, or strappy sandals, to go with the dress (which is gorgeous by the way).
Answer:
:thanks:
I can see what you mean about them being too heavy, they don't look as bulky irl - I have boat feet and think they actually look quite feminine for once! :o
Thing is the dress is quite short and I don't want to look too nudey as its my companies awards do ( its a daytime do for about 1500 peeps) and I need to be able to run around. I've got a spandangaly hoopy gold necklace and earrings (they are nice honest!) and my here is quite glam, hopefully people won't look at my feet if I dress up like a cross between Pat Butcher and Mr T!!
I do this event every year and I always have problems with shoes! I'm rubbish at buying shoes cos I live in flats and hate having to spend money on something I will probably only wear once, if you see anything you think might go better then please let me know! x
I can't match black with anything anymore - Help!

I can't match black with anything anymore - Help!
I love black but I just don't see it going with anything other than black anymore, I don't want to be wearing all black either, I like black and white but as seperates, it reminds me of waitresses and general staff IYSWIM, same with black and printed shirts
Please suggest some combinations, I don't want to stop wearing it...
Answer:
Hi
Black is not as versatile as many people think. IMO it does not go with everything! I know many people wear it with a colour e.g. red or pink but I am not a fan of this at all.
I only wear black with white, all shades of grey and chocolate brown.
The only exception to this rule is coloured shoes with an all black outfit.
ETA: Just read Piglets post which reminded me that black is also good with blue denim!
Answer:
I live in black... I always wear it with dark denim. I'm such a black top and jeans girl its unreal.
Answer:
I don't find black very versatile either. I do like it with cream, grey, navy blue and gold though.
Answer:
I wear black with denim, olive green, purple, grey, cream, brown. And I've got a sort of purply/mushroomy blouse that I wear with black jeans. I suppose I wear more 'neutral' shades rather than brights with black.
I'm still not convinced by black with navy as I've not yet found a way to make it work for me.
