Help - I need to buy a pretty 'slip' !!
.. Gosh, never thought I would need one, but I have a dress that is see through.. has anyone seen any about? It has to be white or nude colour. Can be full slip or skirt.. about 21 inches.. They have a pretty one (as they go!) in Marks, but don't make size 8.
Or something that would do as an alternative?
Thanking you in advance!

What about
Answer:
I got a really pretty natural cotton slip in All Saints to go under one of their sheer wrap dresses. I'm not sure if they still have it in though.
Answer:
I prefer natural fabrics so I have a couple of in various colours.

I bought a couple a few weeks ago and found them in BHS, one white and one a sort of nude but more pinky colour, £6.40, bargain! :)

aldo copacabanas - help!
i have got apair of the gold copacabanas waiting for me at aldo to go and try on but i have a bit of a dilemna
i really love them but am quite skint - i have put a few pairs of other shoes on ebay so i might make a bit
anyway i am wondering do you think they are worth it and do you think they will go with a lot of things
xx
Answer:
Well I havent got them but I do :throb: them and think they would be a great buy. You could wear them with any style of jeans(crops/skinnies/bootcut) and also with shorts. The possibilities are endless! The colour is really versatile too.
The only reason I don't get them is I have narrow feet and they look like I wouldnt be able to keep em on!
The only person I can think of offhand who has them is clairabelle, maybe check out her style diary for some inspiration. :)
Answer:
I think they're lovely and if I had a social life I'd certain invest in a pair. They should go with loads of things; as a metallic they're neutral really.
Answer:
thanks girls
i need to go and try them on first so i might not have a problem if they don't fit
if they do fit though i will get them cos i think they will be a good buy and cos i am a 3 they are hard to get so if i let them go there is prob no way i'll find them again

Opinions please?
Hello :)
Being not the most fashionable person, I very rarely venture into these parts but I could think of no better place to ask advice and opinions on these 2 dresses.
They're for my girlfriend's sister's wedding in August. She's getting married in a castle/hotel and having the reception there also.
Apologies for the rubbishness of the photos!
Which do you prefer and why?
Answer:
I like the first one better as I think it suits your figure much better than the 2nd one. I like the colour on the first one too as it suits your skin/hair colour but i'm not too sure about the flower motifs :cmdunno:...but it's nice on you though :D
Answer:
Hi LauraB
I prefer the 2nd one. Its much better for your shape and is doing more for the boob area:eek:
Plus the colour on the 1st one seems a bit wishy washy on you.
Answer:
I'd say the first one... but, wearing that, would people confuse you as a bridesmaid? Just a thought.
Answer:
The green colour really suits you, and the shape of the red is lovely but I'm not sure either are a particularly flattering fit on you - sorry!
those of you with mulberry bayswaters...

those of you with mulberry bayswaters...
...I'm thinking of buying a black bayswater from mirror image, as I really like it, and I need a nice new black bag for my return to the office at the end of april. I am just wondering if you all love your bayswater? Is it a pain to carry, as its difficult to get over the shoulder? any advise would be greatly appreciated

Answer:
I've got a black Bayswater which I got for half-price from the Luisaviaroma sale a few months back :) It is absolutely gorgeous, but I haven't actually used it yet - I'm a student, so I'm saving it for use when I get a proper job next year (I feel like it's too 'formal' for me at the moment). Mine lives in its box under my bed, which is complete sacrilege - but I do take it out of the box and stroke it quite often :o
Anyway, to answer your question, mine does fit over my shoulder when wearing normal clothes - it fits when wearing winter coats too, but not that comfortably as it's quite snug. I think it's more of a bag designed to be worn over the crook of your arm or carried like a briefcase, but you can put it over your arm if you really want to :) I think it's a gorgeous classic bag and I'm hoping to get a lot of use out of mine when I get a job. I'd say go for it!
Answer:
I have an Oak Bayswater and I love it. As a bag style it's a bit boring and bland and has been overdone lately but practicality-wise I just can't do without it. the straps can fit over your shoulder and over your arm (I can fit them over my winter coat but it is a bit snug). You can adjust the size from the inside and it is a huge huge bag that does not look ginormous like the pouffy styles do. It is the only bag I have that can fit everything I need and look good. I use mine about four times a week. I carry it with my Roxanne most of the time and it looks like a briefcase, not like I am carrying two heres (I carry files and folders with me all day)
Answer:
What they said!
I too got mine in the Luisaviaroma sale and I love it! You can fit literally TONS of stuff in to it if you want and it adjusts so easily without looking like a monster. It does fit over your shoulder but can be snug depending on the thickness of your winter coat. It sits very comfortably on the crook of your arm too. You won't regret it!
