Oh dear god I'm orange!!!!
I thought I would try johnsons mild summer skin last night, did all the prep and slapped it on looking at my legs I thought 'oooh they will be so pretty and brown in a few days!'. I don't think so!!! Woke up this morning and i look like a streaky sausage that needs turning over!
I can't tell you how dark it is! Mild my ass!! AND its supposed to show colour over 3-4 days not 12 hrs! This smiley is the colour of my new orangutan stripey feet!!;) Which may I add, are getting darker by the hour! eeeek! x
Answer:
I had a similar experience when I used it too!
I put it on my lower legs only - but woke up the next day to find that one leg was nut brown, and the other was the same colour as before I put anything on.
I eventually saw the funny side, wore jeans and delighted my colleagues with my 'two-tone' legs during the work day!
Answer:
Eekk! Lemon juice might help fade it a bit.
The Dove one smelt a bit funny on me, but seemed to build quite a nice natural colour on my legs.

Apparently chlorine fades fake tan, so you could try swimming?

Or use toilet cleaner on your legs
Sorry: it is not funny, but that was the first thing that came into my mind.
I think drugstores also store a sort of glove/ wipes that you can use to remove fake tan? I think I have seen them in Boots?

Title says it all really! Do you think the Barratts Star boots will still be fashionable this winter and be a wardrobe staple?
Thanks,
Px

Answer:
I have no idea; I'm not sure yet whether we're going to swing away from all the flat boot/smocky outlines/swingy stuff for this a/w (and will be relieved if we do because most of it doesn't suit me and I'm sick of all the bloody smocks in the shops!).
But who cares anyway? If you like 'em, get 'em! I'm not sure how quickly those flat almond toe boots are going to date anyway, since they're relatively plain.

I would have thought so - they're fairly plain and simple?
Denim shorts
NO.3. ask :
Denim shorts
Hello! :hop:
Quick question to The Blonde - did you buy the Peacock shorts in the end? Or did anyone?
I'm looking for a pair of denim shorts that aren't too short, but that I could wear with opaques under. Anyone know what I'm on about and seen anything?
Thanks!
Answer:
i finally found some in matalan, id tried topshop etc but the matalan ones fitted best weren't too short, they are turned up ones.
Answer:
If you have a pair of jeans that you don't wear much you could have those taken up to the exact length you want. I did this with a couple of pairs that otherwise sat in my wardrobe unworn for months.
Answer:
Hey Loony! Thanks - was thinking of making a skirt like that - could try the shorts....would probably be easier! :D I have a pair of jeans that are a bit too big, but that might work quite well as I don't want tight shorts....I might have a play tonight!!! :D
Zeppelin - unfortunately my nearest Matalan is a way away...which is a total pain! :)
Answer:
Just to say - I cut up my jeans and they look great. Thanks Loony!
FAO All Of You With Lovely Homes

FAO All Of You With Lovely Homes
Okay from looking at your pads I know that some of you are really into interiors in a big way. I need your help please! I have just had my living room coved with a pelmet over the patio doors wall. The thing is the ready made curtains aren't long enough for me to hide the curtain pole, will it look stupid if you can see the pole or should I just save and get some curtains made so that the pole can go behind the pelmet.
Answer:
I had a similar situation in my lounge and I must admit I did say I didn't want the curtain pole showing. I was lucky enough to be getting new curtains though so I just made sure they rehung the pole so it was up behind the pelmet and got the curtains made to that length.
Answer:
Thanks for that I guess I might have to look into getting some made otherwise it defeats the purpose of having the pelmet fitted. TBH I didn't think my ceilings were that high considering it is a new build.
Answer:
You could either add an extra panel in a contrasting colour at the end or in the middle? Thats probably the cheapest but not nessecarily the easiest option.
You definately need the pole to go under the pelmet it'll look really odd otherwise.
Good luck xx
Answer:
I know, it will look odd so I have decided to measure up and get a lady I know of to make some curtains so I will be looking for some fabric. The french doors are actually quite narrow for the wall so I am planning to make a feature of it and make them look bigger by putting a wider pole and making them look all floaty and drapey. Will post pics once it's all done. I did have in mind those kind of suedette ones even I could have got them long enough in ready mades but change of plan.
Thanks for your help
In Primark at the moment?

In Primark at the moment?
Hi,
Has any seen these two items in Primark at the moment, I've got the pics off Ebay so I wasn't sure. Thanks
Answer:
I actually bought the white jacket yesterday from the Primark in Sheffield. It was £15. I think it looks far better in 'real life' than it does in that picture.

Oh I really like that wee jacket!
